The unit has a serious mold problem in the closet and one of the bathrooms. It looked like one one cleaned under the bed in years. On the plus side, the view of the beach from the balcony was outstanding.

For the price we paid we were disappointed. This is our 3rd year at the resort but the condo was just ok. It smelled terrible of mildew and mold. We even noticed mold all over the inside hall closet door. Not great when your kids have asthma and are sleeping right next to that. We tried to keep the patio door closed but it was hard to breathe. We had no extras at all. Ran out of tp, paper towels..only 2 trash bags for the week. We’ve stayed at others where they help accommodate with a few extras. We love the resort, but wished the condo was clean and in better condition.

Overall this is a good condo, but not great. We were disappointed that the space smells extremely musty, especially the utility closet where extra pillows and bed linens are stored. Even our clothes smelled musty when we left the space. You can also tell that the property is well worn; scuffs on the walls, dirty drapes, worn furniture and carpet. The decor and furniture are a bit outdated. The space had no hangers, laundry basket, only one extra garbage bag and no other amenities like beach chairs, an umbrella, or sand toys for kids. The hallway bunks beds were very musty and had no mattress pads. Also, there is no Keurig.

Fake light fixture in kitchen. Tv going out. Rickety furniture. No water pressure in shower. Condo needs a deep cleaning. Different subject . Reserved in advance front row seating on beach but did not get it. Will not go there again. Left a bad review when I got home. But my phone said could not deliver msg.bad number.

It was overall a great stay. T.v. had some issues so we kept it on Netflix (that was fine). Beds were little stiff. Not propertys fault but the balcony's around us reeked of weed. We would have to come in and close the balcony door until they were thru. When you have kids its a little different on what you want them smelling. But the condo itself was fine.

I had a wonderful week here really enjoyed how close to the beach it is. The owner replied very quickly and answered every question I had. The only thing I had a problem with was the room wasn't that clean you pay a big cleaning fee and the maids don't even clean good. Glass was left on floor meaning they didn't sweep, dishwasher was horrible and smelled up room. Maids didn't even look in dishwasher and make sure it was clean. The amount of old food that was under king bed was just nasty.

Overall we enjoyed the property very much. Loved the decor of the condo and it had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The only issue was that the girls expressed that the bucks weren't all that comfortable and the top buck had sand on it.

Enjoyed our short stay. Place and decor was very pleasant. Two pools but wish larger pool was open at night. Nice location on the beach. One closet where pool toys are kept has mildew odor and probably from carpet in closet where wet toys are kept. I would recommend pulling up carpet and putting tile down in that closet, place otherwise was very clean and the furniture and appliances are very nice. Beautiful view of the Ocean. Owner was very accommodating and got right back to us. Staffing at the front desk were very nice.

This property needs to be updated. At these prices I expected granite countertops, or something other than plastic and the air conditioner was broken and was not cooling for the first three days of our stay. I understand May 9th was Mothers day but we had to wait 2 more days for someone to come and service the air. It need a coil and freon. Those issues were not new. I feel that I should be refunded for at least 3 days. I will never stay with this owner again.

The condo was in fair condition, but the view is the best part of it. I wouldn’t describe the property as newly remodeled as it says in the description. It was clean, not super clean, there was dust on the fans, baby bottle behind the sofa with spoiled milk in it ...... but overall ok stay.

We have been using VRBO for 15 years and this is the first property I’ve left a negative review. The the owner didn’t communicate at all on check in procedures and codes. He doesn’t have a voicemail, so your concerns will go unanswered. I had to call him in the afternoon for check in instructions. He didn’t even know we were checking in. After my call he then emailed us 2 hours before check with wrong door code. It was 9:30 at night after a day of traveling when we arrived and the code didn’t work. I called three times and text him twice. No answer from the owner. The staff said you will just have to get a hotel room if he doesn’t call back. The desk personnel found a private home number and woke him up to get a new code. The code worked the first time. We got in. Don’t let the pictures fool you. The place was filthy.. You pay a 200 a cleaning fee to stay in a place that hadn’t been cleaned in months. Wiped down maybe. Every morning I had run the shower to let the black mold run out of the shower heads. All corners of the showers stalls had black mold. Both showers heads haven’t been cleaned in years. Look at the previous reviews. It looks like he had Bed Bugs in the bunk bed area. We didn’t see active bed bugs, but all around the bunk bed area there were dropping in all the corners. Remnants of an existing problem. I complained the next morning about how filthy the place was and all he said was I’m sorry. No resolution just a hollow apology. Alert!! He had the audacity to charge us an additional 48.00 for incidentals for things we didn’t clean. We did the dishes took out the trash etc. We left that place cleaner than when we arrived. I am disputing the charge with my Visa card company. 50.00 administrative fee so he doesn’t have to answers his phone. If you like to stay in a condo where black mold, bed bugs droppings, dirty floors and filthy appliances are common place this place is for you. On the plus side.. the view and the sand beaches were incredible. The people of Destin were awesome and friendly. We will be back just never here. Take my advice this owner doesn’t care about you or me. Spend your money somewhere else.
