Car parking in easy walking distance and reasonably priced at £16 for the week. Good location for everywhere we wanted to visit. Very clean upon arrival. Good value for money if you want somewhere with the basics to stay. Good power on the shower. Large fridge and freezer. Easy to work dishwasher and washing machine. Plenty of hangars and drawers for clothes.

VERY CONCERNED about the windows in the children's room which we found wide open the next morning when one of the children had opened it. It hadn't been locked, had no security feature on it and had swung right open. If our child had decided to try and close it they could have fallen straight out the window. Additionally, the window blind cord was not secure to the wall and could easily wrap around the children's neck as it easily draped into the bed. There was a bad musty smell in the understairs cupboard and the pots and pan cupboard. Because the windows are so old, lots of noise in the early morning woke us up before we were ready. The TV was very basic and was the supplies left at the house. It would have been helpful to have some cleaning equipment and bin bags left as staying for a week, I wanted to have a clean whilst there and do a better job than we did before leaving the property. Knowing the bin day would have also been helpful.

Very comfortable and well equipped. Clean and well serviced. The owners were very responsive when the fidge freezer broke on the first day....4 hours later we had a brand new one in the kitchen. Brilliant response. Beds comfortable. Good size master bedroom. Would definitely book again and recommend. Location excellent for shops, petrol station etc. Good bathroom.

No outdoor sitting area or garden (but we knew this before booking). The weather was glorious and we had to sit inside which was a shame. Wouldn't be a problem in rain! No onsite parking but wasn't a problem as car park 2 mins walk away and cost £16 for the whole week. Car felt safe as just infront of the police station! Was able to park on pavement to unload and load. Was more difficult with elderly mother.

It was self catering. Location was great. Loads of interesting places within 30 minutes drive .Plenty of pubs and cafes and restaurants

Missed a garden and parking at the property however it did not spoil our holiday week.

Appleby had everything we needed in a great location. It was homely and relaxing

The sofa's were not that comfortable but that was a minor negative

Visited with our 2 and half year old son, had everything a family could want. Lovely location close to everything from day trips to shops etc. Couldn’t fault anything. Hope to visit again soon

The cottage was very clean and cosy. On arrival, a tea tray was all set up with a pack of biscuits and milk ready in the fridge. The heating system was excellent and we were able to warm up quickly after a day on the beach. The hosts were very helpful and offered good advice particularly about local parking. It is centrally located but away from the main road and so noise was minimal.
