This house was a lovely place to stay and I would definitely love to stay there again.
Kitchen was awesome. I cooked meals, baked a cake and muffins. The drawers and cupboards are well stocked with cookware and I enjoyed the kitchen. Beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were beautiful.
Loved the location! Felt woodsy and we were truly amazed to see deer every day -- and one day a half dozen wild turkeys roamed about.
One previous reviewer posted that this is in walking distance of the Christmas Market. I disagree! It is waaay too far to walk there. It's dark by 4:50 PM, and walking on roads with no sidewalks?? It's one mile on foot, one way. Not a problem in daylight, but not safe on these roads in the dark (because of traffic and visibility).
We drove the short distance to the bluff walk at Fiscalini Reserve (highly recommend!); and drove to Moonstone Beach (also a short drive) to walk on the boardwalk. Fiscalini was my favorite.
Town was lovely. Recommend Linn's for breakfast.
There is a DVD player in living room and an HDMI cable, and there is access to streaming, you just have to log in to your own streaming accounts. There is a TV in every bedroom as well as the living room. We did not use them, but that's nice feature.

This was a nice place to stay with all the essentials.
Clean, well tucked in, safe, not too many crazy rules to follow, kitchen well equipped, coffee machine with kpods. Bathrooms well equipped with shampoo conditioner soap hair dryer etc. Overall nice place.

The home is updated and nice, but a little small. Parking is very limited and on a dirt patch under a low tree. Bedroom tvs did not work at all. We had 2 young kids, so it felt a bit crampt and there is no outdoor space for kids. The road in is dirt, so it felt very dusty. Home is nice, but for only a couple of people and a shorter stay.

The house size and location were perfect for a family get together of 4 adults and one 18 mo grandbaby. The kitchen island was a great gathering place. Two bedrooms upstairs and one down gave us separation. House itself was clean BUT outside deck and bbq were not cleaned and bbq ran out of gas. Also the dw was broke which had just happened with previous guests. Fair customer service. Have had much better service at numerous other airbnbs.

We had a lovely time in Cambria and enjoyed staying at this house. The interior is really nice, though the grounds are smaller than the pictures depict and need a gardening cleanup. Otherwise, it was really nice. Close to the town, fairly close to beach access (though about a 10 minute drive), and very clean inside.

It's the little details that can make or break a smooth, enjoyable vacation. We were extremely happy and impressed with the attention to details at this house. We have been renting a house every year over Thanksgiving for about 15 years. This house is very well stocked, the house is super clean and comfortable. The coffee, tp, paper towels, ziplocks, foil etc.... all the little things you might forget to bring were there. Definitely a great place for cooking a big meal like thanksgiving dinner, even had a roast pan and potato masher. Had a great time and would definitely recommend !!

So we had to stay at another property on Saturday night, that was disappointing. But things happen, so I hope that they got things taken care of. The gal at Scenic Coast property; Valerie was very helpful and accommodating. I felt bad that she was looking for a place to stay for us on her Friday night (working overtime) but she was a good sport! So I give her a 10 👍. Other than that, it was great we loved it, and hope to come back again!

It was great seeing the scrub jays, Stellar jays, turkeys and deer in the open lot next door. Otherwise, unfortunately, we found the house to be uncomfortable and poorly stocked, especially compared to the many other houses we have rented in Cambria. The mattress was hard. There was only one extra blanket. The furniture in the living room was very uncomfortable especially with the tv hung so high on the wall that it hurt your neck. Only 1 extra kitchen towel, no extra trash bags, really old pots and pans, no small spoons, no small dishes. The personal size toiletries in the bathrooms had already been partially used and there was even hair on some of them. Not enough washcloths for 2 of us for a 5 night stay. It's the little things that can make or break a nice rental. I would rent again from Scenic Coast, but would not rent this particular house again.

This was a beautiful home. We enjoyed the deer and wild turkeys that visited in the yard. The home was very clean and well organized. It was easy to find items in the kitchen. We had a group with 3 couples. Each bedroom was well furnished and there were sufficient linens for all. There is no large table for group dining so people had to be divided among the kitchen counter and 3 person dining nook. Since our group tends to cook instead of going out to eat, we would like to suggest updating some of the pots and pans especially the nonstick pans with their coating eroding. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and the amenities.

One bedroom had a reclining chair. We were delighted to be living in a forested area with abundant deer and wild turkeys.
Although we are only 2, we were glad that we had choices of beds because the master bedroom's bed was too soft for us.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Since we live in the California desert, the fog is a welcome brief relief. Our stay this this year was fabulous! Covid didn’t stop us from having a delightful time. We felt safe enough wherever we went. Our rental was very cozy and located in our favorite area of Cambria. It was easily accessible which means a lot to us. Obviously, recently refurbished, we enjoyed all the comforts of home. Loved the modern kitchen and baths. Beautifully decorated rooms. Comfortable living area with plenty of windows to view all the wildlife that roam in this woodsy area. Fiscalini Ranch preserve and the village are only minutes away. We would certainly consider this rental in the future.

We've stayed in Cambria numerous times before, but always on the slope facing the ocean. This Lodge Hill location was such a pleasant surprise. The area was quiet and wooded with Spanish moss hanging from the trees, and because it adjoins a vacant wooded lot, it was such a treat to look out the large Living room windows to see deer and wild turkys making there rounds each day. It's a short drive in to town and a very short drive down the hill to the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve for a fantastic coastal hike. We're pretty picky when it comes to rentals we've stayed in but this one gets five stars without hesitation. We would definitely choose this property again. Bravo to the owners and Scenic Coast Property Management.

Secluded In the Woods, Close to everything
The neighborhood was a bit disconcerting but you walk in the door and feel at home. Great upgraded home that is clean and comfortable. Daily I was greeted by Turkey and Deer with my early morning coffee. A quick drive to the preserve trails for a run/walk. A quick drive to the village or Moonstone. A great central located home but it was quiet clean and felt PEACEFUL. Outstanding value for the cost, we very much appreciated you making your home available for other to experience.

Lovely retreat nestled amongst the tress
Had a beautiful stay here over the Thanksgiving holiday! Home was clean and nicely appointed. The keurig with supplies was a nice treat! My only issue arose after a night of heavy rain when the front steps and walkway became saturated with inches of thick mud...made it difficult to get out of the house and to my car. Hubby went out and shoveled the walkway and all was good again.
