We went to Sinaia for a mountain getaway, so we did not want to stay in the heart of town. Vila LaKastel did not disappoint at all. It is nestled in the trees and overlooks the lush slopes of Sinaia. The hotel didn't give a "bustling place" vibe, but the staff members were all very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied.

Gaby was outstanding. Excellent service. Breakfast was ok, but the restaurant was gorgeous. Excellent location. Near Peles castle.

Seem a little understaffed.

The bed was like a super king! But with a double/king sized duvet? Decor was okay, if you like the Victorian style. Has table and chair outside of room, good for smokers!

The bathroom radiator can not be turned off! Was baking in there with no extractor. There is a raw sewage smell emitinating from there (gf thought I did a dirty poop)!

Breakfast was nice and tasty. Rooms are good size and you will feel yourself like a royalty. Will definitely visit again

Everything was great : the room is very big, the staff was lovely. They even gave us a free wine bottle for my mom's birthday. It was lovely to stay at this hotel, thank you so much for the hospitality!

It was very clean, cosy, amazing mattress so we had a very good sleep, close to Peles Castle, super nice personal, very helpful and even prepared the breakfast later than the normal hours.

smaller than advertised, small windows to the street, bed/pillows not confortable, the personnel easily gives you a different thing than you ordered and/or paid, without warning! food, beverages, other room than what you reserved…

Big heated rooms.

-not clean enough -we had to ask for clean glasses, slippers and bathrobes -poor breakfast; even if there is no buffet they should provide more options like pastries and fruits -no parking spots -no minibar -no shower gel, only some small soaps that are usually used when washing your hands It is a shame because the place is decorated very nicely but the services are not as you would expect in a 4 stars hotel.

It’s very close to Peleș Castle and the area is relatively quiet, except for some construction work sounds coming from a nearby property. The room is bigger than most hotel rooms and looks relatively new, the bed is comfortable, very basic breakfast ok. Staff tries to be pleasant.

There is potential somewhere in there, but I don’t think the property should be advertised as 4 stars. While the staff apologized for the inconveniences caused, offered to move me to another room (which I decided against as it would have been yet another inconvenience to me) and comped a meal, the discomfort had already happened. Had I decided to move rooms, I would have still written the following, which is fair to the future guests that book here. I had booked the room adjacent to the hotel itself, on the ground floor, which would’ve been fine with me, had I not had the following issues: - the toilet bowl is splashing toilet water out of the bowl through under the seat every time when flushed, which got on my leg twice. The manager apologized, but at the same time I had to listen to a lot of excuses as to why this known issue hadn’t been fixed. With all due respect, guests don’t have to be privy to problems like this, they come to relax and be taken care of. Guests also don’t want to be put in a room with defective facilities that are known by the hotel. That is just insulting. -there was a pronounced kitchen smell in the bathroom, which was nonchalantly attributed to some festivities. In case you can’t tell, as a property, that offering rooms with bathrooms that smell like food should be out of the question, I don’t know what else to say. The smell toned down but persisted the next day. There is also no ventilation for the bathroom, which is very odd, considering the placement of the hotel kitchen and the bathroom itself not having a window. - the heating system took forever to turn on or off and once the heat was on, it couldn’t be lowered no matter how I adjusted the knobs, so I was uncomfortably hot or cold in the process. - there is no kettle in the room, it’s brought only on demand. It should be in the room, so guests can use it leisurely.
