I used a broom from my sister's unit to clean the dust from the walls.The grout on the floors is disgusting and there isn't any mop to at least do a run through. Again,it needs a refresh.The king size bed has just about had enough.I got permission to turn it over and although it was hard it was better than sleeping in a hole.I was also sent a mattress pad which helped.With a few more people sleeping on it I'm sure it will help. I rolled up the rugs in the master and put them in the closet.Once again dirty and sandy.I know it's difficult to get to everything that needs to be cleaned but if they aren't going to be dusted they should be removed.I noticed the comforters were soiled along with some of the decorative pillows...I asked for the comforters to be cleaned and Bender was very accommodating. The other bathroom was fine.I wish there was a close-up mirror in the master bathroom too....I 'm not getting any younger:) Laundry was fine.There was a vacuum however I usually sweep every evening and there was no broom or dust pan. I borrowed one from the condo beside me that my sister rents.I know I could have asked for Bender to get me one but they had already been so good to me.

Only complaint I would have is the cleaning crew could do a better job. We pay a healthy cleaning fee and they could do a more thorough job. I cleaned mold off the shower doors after we arrived. We always enjoy our stay there because we make the best of it, but still disappointed that I have to pay a cleaning fee for me to clean it myself. Not sure if we will be back.

The units are perfect for families, you walk right out onto the beach and have a pool to use. I do wish they would add a walkway from the complex to the beach. I've stayed at this complex multiple times over the last 10 years and unfortunately the condo we were moved into needs a bit of updating, it was outdated looking compared to the other units our family members were staying in (the first one we booked became unavailable). The cold water does not work in the master bathroom, it was turned off underneath the sink and looks like the faucet is broken. The condo did have plenty of dishes and we liked having a regular coffee machine as well as one that uses Keurig cups.

This is handsdown the worse condo we've had not only at Sandpiper but in Gulf Shores period. The condo has not been maintained at all. The beds were worn out, the appliances hardly worked, the tile floor throughout were cracked and coming up, the master vanity faucet didn't work and the only way to get it work was to have the water run non-stop. On top of that it was filthy. Food left on the ground, hadn't been dusted, sand on the floors (a good amount), counter tops and table were sticky, and showers hadn't been cleaned (hair and sand in both). We did call Bender and report but maintenence did nothing to fix and we had already cleaned up when we checked in. Totally disgusted and not worth the $2k.
