If you want to be directly on the beach, then this is a great home. It was very comfortable and was stocked with everything we needed. We rented a golf cart and explored the entirety of this beautiful community. It was a great way to end the summer!

This is a wonderful family home right on Folly Beach. There is a wonderful huge covered porch on the beach side of the property perfect for those of us that burn easily but still want to see and hear the beach and ocean. The four bedrooms were nice sized with comfortable beds. The two bathrooms were great, with a jack n Jill bathroom between two of the bedrooms. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Sandi was close by and very nice and attentive. thank you for letting us enjoy your place. We loved it.

It may not be the largest property beachfront, but it has all the room and everything you need to have an amazing vacation- our family always hates to leave. It’s so amazing to stay beachfront and be able to walk in and off the beach with ease. Great year round neighbors and beautiful views. Takes 5mins or less (including parking) to get to folly center and enjoy some of the most amazing food!

Nice small beach cottage. The basics worked well (AC/bathrooms), on the beach, lovely back porch. Could use upgrades on the sheets and kitchen stuff if you are picky about such things. I'm not.

We thoroughly enjoyed this authentic beach house! It is as advertised. Not a large house but fit 8 very nicely. Kitchen is a decent size and well equipped. Watching dolphins play and Pelicans dive from the large porch was perfect for morning coffee and evening wind down. I grew up on the North Atlantic beaches and loved the old wood floors etc..When going to the main st. area for shopping and restaurants we often walked the beach (about 15 min.). We love Taco Boy restaurant and the crab shack. Sandi was great to work with and always answered any questions quickly. THANK YOU!

This place brought us back in time with it's vintage charm. We went with several friends and it had a bedroom for each of us.It had a fun layout, clawfoot tub, right on the beach, quiet area and walking distance from restaurants and stores. Then kitchen was fully stocked and everything was very clean. The owner was extremely easy to text and was responsive. We will absolutely stay here again.

Our family had a wonderful vacation at this cozy little beach cottage. It was exactly what we needed right on the beach for easy access back-and- forth throughout the day. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook family meals, plus beach chairs and towels. We never needed to leave the house. However, it’s a great location to the restaurants and shops in Folly Beach. Sandi is a wonderful host who was always prompt with her responses to any questions that I had. The only downside of the vacation with that it didn’t last longer.

We had a wonderful time! The house was just what we needed and proximity to beach and shops can't be beat! The kids toys and games were nice to have and enjoyed finding shark teeth on the beach.

The house and furnishings are antiques, and bring back such memories. This is what a relaxing week at the beach should be. The kitchen is fully stocked. We needed nothing to cook and enjoy the week. Plenty of towels, comfortable beds. Our property manager was so helpfull, and readily available. We are already planning next year's adventure. Quiet neighborhood. Am in love with this place.

This house is right on the beach, with a short walkway. It's also a short distance to the main street in Folly Beach, with several restaurants and pubs. The house itself is large, with 4bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's an older property. The bathrooms are quite small, and only one has a real shower. The other has a tub with a handheld shower attachment, but nothing to hang it on. We managed because there were only 3 of us. We were grateful to find coffee filters and coffee for our first morning there. The sofas and beds were quite comfortable and there's plenty of outdoor seating. Altogether a very homey place to spend a few days.

2 friends and I spent 4 days on Folly beach. The time was disrupted by a storm but the house withstood it well. This humble abode is tucked between mansions. It has what is needed. No frills. The bathtub could be updated. The shower head didn’t work and the drain plug was missing. Good access to the shore.

Five adults and two elementary age boys, we really enjoyed our week! The house is comfortable, just large enough, and old enough to be interesting. We found everything we needed to cook each day and plenty of towels and pillows. This is your grandma's beach house, and we loved it. 5 stars!

Our stay at 517 E. Ashley in Folly Beach was great. All of the rooms are large enough and the beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are nice, with a clawfoot tub in one. There was plenty of hot water for showers and baths.
The outside porch was a great feature for enjoying coffee or a meal outside in the screened porch.
Having the outside foot wash and shower helped us keep the sand out.of the house.
We splurged last year on beach front and had to have it again this year. I highly recommend this rental

But if you’re looking for an affordable place where you can take your cup of coffee on your back porch to stare at the ocean, this is it. We had 7 adults stay, and we never felt crowded though we had great weather so the covered porch was busy. Great dining space indoors for all of us to sit around and play board games at night.

The house was clean and well stocked. We were happy that there is a outdoor shower and two spigots outside for rinsing off the sand. The house isn't big, but it's well organized and has plenty of seating. There isn't a lot of extra floor space in the bedrooms, but the wardrobes and dressers worked well as well as the hooks on the back of the doors. We appreciated the extra blankets available too. You can hear and see the ocean from the back of the house, but the beach itself isn't visible from the house.

Great beach location!
The house is small but great for a small family or group of friends. The front room is not air conditioned which may be an issue during the summer. The house and walkway to the beach are dated but for the price and location, it cannot be beat! The beach location is fantastic - not really close to the main part of Folly but walkable distance if you wanted to.

It was great! I love old beach cottages and this was the perfect place for a guys weekend. We mainly hung out in Charleston, eating great food and enjoying being with one another. (The weather was bad.)

This truly is a Folly Beach jem. The deck was our favorite spot for morning coffee, a sunset snack and everything in between. Will definitely return.

Excellent location for our vacation/golf/PGA Championship trip. Cozy four bedroom two bath beach cottage with boardwalk to the beach. Two decks along the way. Chairs and toys for the beach are available. Be on the beach in less than a minute from the screened in back porch. Easy fifteen minute walk to Center St. where restaurants and shops are located.
