This house is in such a perfect place. The sound is behind the house with a beautiful deck and dock to fish from, kayak, or just relax. The beach is a block and a half away and an easy walk. We all highly recommend this house and look forward to staying in it again in the future.

Really enjoyed our stay at this location. The Sound was absolutely beautiful and had view of sound from most of the windows back side of home. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking breakfast for everyone so it was wonderful having that view while I cooked every morning. Our family enjoyed fishing off the dock and spent a lot of our time out there and kayaking. Our only complaint was the bed situation. Needed to have queen bed in the twin bed room for adults and the mattresses on twin beds were not comfortable and the other queen bedroom upstairs the mattress was the same. Other than that everything was perfect and will definitely stay again. One of our most favorite vacations 💕and the owners contacted us as soon as had any questions and were extremely friendly and helpful which was a huge plus💕

Nice layout, very helpful signs on lights and devices on proper use. Nicely equipped with "toys" for use. Having access to dock on sound was a hit with the men and children. Easy access to the beach. Will certainly consider this property depending on the size of our group.

Initially things were great. Location is good; close to surf city shops and restaurants. We realized the the following morning that the upstairs AC wasn’t working, which unfortunately was a Sunday. A call was placed and message was left because it was a weekend. There was no call back. I ended up calling again on Tuesday (Monday was a holiday) and the lady who answered was apologetic and helpful, however it’s awful to have gone 2 days without AC upstairs, it was 78+ up there and guests couldn’t sleep. The AC was fixed that day thankfully. Just super frustrating that there was no acknowledgement of the issue. On Tuesday we also reported that the dryer wasn’t working properly and advised a local repair man would be reaching out to setup a time to come out. Zero communication from this local person. Called back Wednesday and Thursday regarding this issue and Friday morning the repair man came to fix the issue, the day before we were set to check out. I guess there should be given some grace due to the weekend and holiday, but acknowledgement would have been nice, even if it was to say someone would be out Tuesday. Friday we had a roach crawl across the main living area next to the kitchen. Only one was spotted, but where there’s one there is usually more. The pool was quite the trek for the older adults of the group. It was about a half mile walk from the house to the club house/pool in the portion of the community across the main road which wasn’t a known detail when booking.

Property was very clean. Dock was very convenient for fishing and crabbing. Family had a great time.

The bedrooms are great for parents and children, but if you have all adults and plan on using all of the bedrooms, some adults will have to walk through a bedroom to get to theirs. It was not a problem for us. We so enjoyed spending the evenings on the dock on the sound. My suggestion would be to bring some extra towels - they had lots of beach towels, but were shy on bath towels. We hope to go back!

Great house for family with young kids/grandkids. Upstairs bedrooms are ok for parents with young kids, have to go through 1 bedroom to get to the second, likewise with other side bedrooms. One bathroom upstairs for 4 bedrooms, but we made it work. Master bedroom downstairs is great but needs new mattress. Overall house is Great! Owners items to use are awesome! Bikes, kayaks, beach toys, chairs, wagon, etc. Crab pods were fun for the kiddos. Good size gas grill to use! Kitchen was fully stocked with most any gadget you would need, including drip and k-cup coffee makers. Laundry area was nice.
The beach was a quick walk. Pool was a little too far to walk for young kids, but it was a great change from the beach.
Owners actually called to check on us after a strong storm blew through. We would definitely stay again over the next few years, while the grandkids are young.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Topsail. We had plenty of room in this house, and enjoyed kayaking and fishing off the dock. The owner was very easy to deal with and we plan to rent "tween the seas" on our next Topsail vacation.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Topsail. We had plenty of room in this house, and enjoyed kayaking and fishing off the dock. The owner was very easy to deal with and we plan to rent "tween the seas" on our next Topsail vacation.

This property has some Karen’s in it. I parked my boat long enough to unpack my other items, wasn’t there 20 minutes got a call from someone saying I needed to move the boat. The windows and doors need a lot of work, there is rot. There are loose boards on the dock. And the water is super shallow “ hard to get boat to the ICW. Had some what I can only assume high school kids about 4 doors down that made noise till late. I will not be staying there anymore

We had a good stay and enjoyed the surrounding area, ocean, pool and the kayaking. We loved the views and the natural lighting.
My constructive criticism deals with first impressions. The beds had to be made after we arrived and they were of average quality at best. We were perhaps spoiled by another beach house we stayed at three years running. It was 33% less expensive, closer to home, and its beds were top-tier luxury.
My wife is serious decorator and she said the place could use some sprucing up.
These are not meant as jabs, but as friendly helps.

Our week’s stay was lovely…plenty of things to do for our family of 13! We went kayaking, paddle boarding…we fished and caught crabs! The community pool was a great alternative when we didn’t want the beach. The beach was wonderful—not crowded and our sons enjoyed surfing several days.
We hope to return next year!

This is a nice vacation home. The beach is a close walk and we fished right out back off the dock. The pool is a little far away, too far for the kids to walk. The bedroom configuration is a little awkward, you have to walk through the front 2 bedrooms to get to the back 2 bedrooms, but we made it work. The kitchen is nicely stocked and it was very clean. The washer and dryer right off the kitchen was really handy. We enjoyed our stay!

Terrific home in a beautiful location! The deck overlooks the sound: peaceful, beautiful and all kinds of birds. And only a 3 minute walk to the beach, so you really get the best of the sound side and beach side. House is beautiful, well appointed and maintained. Grocery stores are close, 10-15 m drive. Our family group had a terrific week. Highly recommended!

This home is lovely. The location to the sound (and kayaking/paddle boarding) is amazing! We rented golf carts for our large group and small kids to head to the beach (and pool) and it made a huge difference. As others mentioned the upstairs room situation is less than ideal. It worked for us since we had 3 couples (2 couples with small kids) so we were ok. But older kids or anything more than 3 couples would be uncomfortable. My husband and I took the single beds and pushed them together to make the set up work (still attached to a bunk bed room). I would book again maybe one more year but anything beyond That our kids would be too old and the set up would not work. But please know Waking up to those views made it all worth it!

We loved EVERYTHING about our stay! The house was immaculate and well equipped. The views of the sound were breathtaking, and the beach was a short walk away. We all commented it was the perfect place to relax!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this property. Being so close to the beach and having access to the beach supplies, bikes, community pool, tennis court, and kayaks, as well as being able to fish/crab from the dock, left our family of 10 with plenty to do throughout the week. The beautiful kitchen was well stocked with all needed supplies and we were pleased with how clean and well kept the home was. The space was very inviting and open so our entire family could hang out together. This is the perfect vacation home for any adventurous family who enjoys having lots of options to occupy their time together.

Great location with access to the sound, ocean and a community pool. Bedroom situation worked ok for us because we brought 5 teenage girls and they were able to hang out in the two “wings”’ of the upstairs while we took the master bedroom downstairs. It would be good for couples with small kids but be aware you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other, same situation on each side of the upstairs so wouldn’t work for all situations. Master bedroom/bathroom was great. Views were awesome! It was great to have use of bikes, beach gear, kayaks, and the grill. A few suggestions for the owners: Label the master bath regarding the GFI switch in the laundry room. We thought the blow dryer was broken but found out that the outlets just needed reset in the laundry room GFI switch - but there were no instructions about this in the master bath, only in the half bath. Also, we were only able to cast to the TV; we weren’t able to figure out how to get cable or regular TV. A few more bath towels would’ve been nice for the number of people we had. And the master bedroom needs better pillows. It’s a king size bed but none of the pillows were king size and they were not very comfortable. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay!

Though there were some good aspects to thus house, I can’t recommend it without cautioning renters to consider carefully the downsides. First and foremost, the rooms are awkwardly arranged. You literally have to walk through someone else’s bedroom door l get to yours or to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. That might be OK for families with very young kids but not for adults and/or older teens.The living room and dining area were lovely, as were the views. The remainder of the issues were largely fixable, and I hope the owners address them: blinds without cords, knobs that fall off bathroom cabinets, etc.

The property is beautiful. The views are extraordinary. The walk to the beach is not long at all. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we Needed. Although we did not use the owner’s kayaks, we did use those we rented. It was fun and so easy to do. We rode bikes. And the children an some adults fished.....even caught a flounder.......he went back into the sound to make another fisherman’s day.An all around wonderful family time.
