Very close to the water and this added to the lake experience:) User friendly everything....firepit, soloburner, hot tub, water equipment etc... Lots of details were done to make our stay easy and comfortable. Great taste as well in linens, towels, and blankets. I would highly recommend this vacation rental to everyone.

We had an amazing 2 weeks on the lake. The house is fantastic with everything you need. We had fabulous days/evenings sitting outside and just taking in the views. Greg and Melissa are with out a doubt the best hosts we have ever had. Very responsive, proactive and going the extra mile to ensure our stay was the best it could be. When we go back to northern Michigan this place will for sure be on the short list.

This was our second year staying in this cottage and it did not disappoint. Great location, clean, has everything you need and even things you may have forgotten. We like coming in late August…it’s quiet and not so crowded. Excellent communication with the Owner.

We had a wonderful time and loved watching the sunrise every morning. The property has so much to offer, from kayaking to lounging in the hot tub. Our kids found plenty to entertain. And Gregory was very responsive when we had questions.

Gregory had us provisioned beyond our expectation. Didn't matter what little comfort I forgot. He had me covered.
Spacious living room and amazing out door living. Our one rained out evening we spent watching a moving while feeling we were on the lake. That is a beautiful way to relax and watch a storm.
After logging long days on the lake the kids enjoyed the hot tube while my wife and I grilled, relaxed on the deck and burned a fire.

Our large family of 6 typically has to compromise and either stay in a large house or little up north cottage depending on what we are prioritizing. This comes with a sacrifice, amenities and climate control or true cottage experience.
No compromise here. We had sleeping space to spare. Each room had its own ac and heat. A good night's rest keeps the lake life going.

The property was a little more secluded than we expected, but it was so nice. It was cozy but with enough space for our family of 6. The view was spectacular & we enjoyed the patio/hot tub. Would definitely stay there again.

Awesome home!
We loved our stay at Burt Lake. The home was beautiful, in a great location. We rode bikes, hiked, drove ATVs at Big Bear, went to Mackinac Island, and shopping in both Harbor Springs and Mackinaw City.
The beds were very comfortable. The outdoor seating area was perfect. My teens especially enjoyed the hot tub. My only negative is that I’m used to sun blocking curtains at home, so I woke up really early everyday!
The owners were quick to answer if we had any questions. We would love to visit this home again someday.

Everything else was above average. Bring food and condiments and you won’t need to leave the whole week you’re there! The internet was solid too, only dropped occasionally, while two of us were on our computers all day and often doing video calls. Thanks!!!

Our stay in this home was amazing! Had a super easy check in, was greeted with a wonderful welcome tray (never had one in any of our other rentals) and the beds were so comfy. Lake was crystal clear and we all loved swimming at the end of the dock. Hot tub was enjoyed nightly! The deck was our favorite spot, perfect for sunrises and relaxing. The fact that firewood was supplied was a very special bonus, we had smores every night. All around, my husband, my mom, our two teenagers (and they each brought a friend) had a great week and were sad to go! Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your home!

This was my family’s first trip to northern Michigan and this house was a great introduction. My kids loved the crystal clear lake and the kayaks. It’s central location allowed us to see so much of the area, from Petovsky to the UP to Mackinac Island to Sleeping Bear Dunes. The beds were very comfortable, the hot tub was a huge plus after a day of hiking and the owners were very easy to work with. We are very happy with our decision to stay here.

Amazing house great for families
This is one of the best places I have rented on Vrbo. The owners take great care to make the house well stocked and comfortable. My kids (7 and younger) really enjoyed the playhouse, outdoor toy bin and swimming off the end of the dock. The house has a great yard with a great view. The owners checked in twice with me durning my stay they were very accessible and friendly. I highly recommend this rental.

Tranquil Treasure
What an absolutely beautiful property and home! We came to enjoy the fall colors and were not disappointed in the color or the home. The house is well maintained and appointed it's also very clean and as pictured. The views over Burt Lake are incredibly peaceful and serene. We also found the property owners very friendly and communicative they checked in several times throughout our visit to make sure we had everything we needed. My kids are already requesting a return visit during the summer months. We highly recommend this home whether a couple, a group of friends or a family you will not be disappointed. A lot of thought and care has been placed into this beautiful cabin. There are many amenities for outdoor play, cooking, wonderful hot showers and comfy sheets. It is a great location from many day trips in northern Michigan. The lake is very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our time at Burt Lake and look forward to coming again.

One note for anyone planning to work remotely from this home. The wifi access is a mobile hotspot with a data cap in the tens of gigabytes. If you are doing lots of zooming with multiple video streams, you will eat up the data quickly. Greg and Melissa were very responsive buying extra data, but something to be aware of.
