Excellent shower room

Bolt on spiral stairs loose the whole staircase felt unsafe. Pots dusty, microwave and cooker not clean.bed uncomfortable.

Location and property were great

The place was filthy, there wasn't enough cutlery, it hadn't been cleaned, the hoover was unaccessable, it was badly maintained and the spiral staircase was dangerous and wobbly, door handle fell off, drawer wouldn't shut, breakfast bar pole not secured and there were no contact details in the property. I contacted the host through booking.com but heard nothing. I phoned booking.com on the Monday I returned, they tried to contact the host but no luck. So I was offerer £20 in booking.com vouchers that can only be used in certain properties - quite frankly an insult! So disappointing from booking.com they told me they are just an advertising platform , which I understand however I had a filthfy property with no support and booked through them and have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. I feel really let down by them and I am extremely reluctant to use them again.

The location

The house had not been cleaned. The bedding was sparse and smelt moisty. Kithcen items dirty or chipped or broken the bannister at the top of the spiral stair case wasn't secure and is detached from the wall

Nice lighting, bright spots and cosy lamps. Great location for a wedding at Northwood House.

Not very clean, duvet way too small for the bed, no shower gel, remote didn’t work for the tv in the bathroom. These are common complaints in the other reviews but nothing seems to have been done about any of it.

Niggly things. Front door key was really difficult to use to lock and unlock. There is no instruction pack for using equipment in the property. Someone like me who is not very tech savvy (TV, heating Tec) it would be helpful. The large king size bed didn't have a quilt or fitted sheets that were the correct size Otherwise, all good.

Quirky little place, ideal for a short stay and in a good location.

Cleanliness - teaspoons were dirty, tablecloth soiled, bathroom door slashed and marked. Bed was huge - shame that the bed linen wasn’t. Shower impressive but towels inadequate in number and thin. The fronts of the drawers in the kitchen fell off when opened and the kitchen was poorly equipped. Little details let it down.

This was my second stay. Cozy comfortable cottage, very convenient for Southwell. Excellent value for money.

towels were only hand towels . duvet needs replacing as too small for the bed .

Great location for our needs. Able to walk to Southwell Minister & town easily. Very convenient for shops, cafe's, pubs, & restaurants. No need for taxis & parking plentiful on street at side of property. Great value for money for two & exceptional value for four with having sofabed in lounge. Owner seemed to have covered everything that may be needed including an umbrella.

A little tired looking perhaps, nothing major. Spiral stairs not suitable for all.

I loved this little place - I didnt want to leave. Such a cute little house I enjoyed relaxing watching Netflix in a self contained living, dining kitchen area. The spiral staircase led me to the bedroom with a lovely comfortable bed. Gorgeous mirrors & fabulous modern decor throughout...then a lovely large shower & dressing room & a separate bathroom with a bath & a TV!!! I was in my own little heaven. Would stay there again without a doubt. Everything you need to either self cater or theres plenty of take out places nearby. Its close to the road but it didnt bother me & I could park right outside. I stayed alone but felt very safe & secure. Really Impressed - I will be back!

Bedding for sofabed wasn’t clean. Dark and the front door was difficult to lock/unlock.

Location was excellent, apartment was well laid out, facilities were good. Appreciated the Netflix and Prime accounts on the TV in particular.

Apartment was dirty. Cleaning was obviously just a light wipe down between guests. Visible layers of dust on surfaces, grime on others where cleaning product has been sprayed but not wiped, dead hair in room corners. Mattress was old and sagging. Door key was easy to retrieve but difficult to use. Door lock was old and misaligned. Lots of jiggling needed to both lock and unlock. Frustrating.
