We loved our stay at Jama and Joanne’s rental. The pool and spa were fantastic, and we all really enjoyed them. The seating areas around the pool were also lovely. The accommodation was great for us (2 adults and 2 teens) and we found it very comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. The Hawaiian themed decor is great and adds a special feeling to the rental. We found the location great for spending quiet time by the pool and for heading out to see the sights. Thanks so much for a lovely stay!

The house and yard match the photos and description perfectly. Any questions we had were answered quickly. House has everything you need for your stay.I felt like I was at home. Neighborhood is very nice and quiet. Yard amenities are very relaxing . House was very clean and spacious. Location was great for going to must tourist locations. Be prepared to think your are at a resort. I would definitely vacation here again.

My husband, one of my daughters and I stayed for 6 nights. It was a fantastic decision. Jama was very easy to contact when we had questions. She was more than kind, in her garden she has delicious tomatoes 🍅 which she very kindly shared with us. You honestly feel like you are in paradise, all the decoration inside the house and the pool area makes you feel like you are in Hawaii. Not to mention everything is very comfortable, very clean, very well equipped and located in a very quiet and beautiful neighborhood. The location is close to many attractions and tourist sites. We had a wonderful trip full of adventure and relaxation. We are looking forward to returning in the future! Thank you for your hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay. 😀👍

This is our family’s second time staying here and it was wonderful! The location is perfect. The property itself is a wonderful oasis. Jama was easy contact when we had questions. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

My family and I stayed for 6 days and had a great time. Location was perfect to the Dodgers Stadium, Hollywood sign, Griffith Observatory and so many more. The quite neighborhood gave us a sense of safety for morning walks. There is a pool and hot tub on the property which gave us hours of entertainment when we just wanted to chill for a day. The loft was perfect for the kids to get away and the bed downstairs allowed my husband and I the opportunity to wake up, make coffee and not bother the kids. Thank you for your hospitality. We enjoyed our stay.

The accommodations were great, and as they appeared in the photos and description. The towels were clean and fluffy, the bedding was comfortable (we didn’t sleep on the futons), the kitchen was well-stocked, the fireplace downstairs was cozy, the spa was hot and relaxing, there was plenty of outdoor area to enjoy for swimming, eating and socializing. The host was very responsive and answered our questions promptly. The decor was fun! I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Absolutely loved our stay. We came down south to celebrate a late Christmas with our adult children. This was the perfect setting to do just that. The backyard set up is hvery relaxing and felt very private. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

What a gem! The description & photos of this listing - as attractive as they are - don’t capture how amazing & delightful this property is until you experience it in person. Outside the setting is very private, quiet, & relaxing with multiple sitting areas for visiting, meals, games, reading etc. Although we had some rainy weather (January after all) we enjoyed the spa in the evening. Inside, super comfy beds & linens, well-equipped kitchen for simple meal prep, hot shower, smart tv & electric hearth that made for a very inviting & pleasant living space. Great location for Pasadena/Altadena area. Communication with Jama was easy & responsive throughout our stay. We had a wonderful time & look forward to a return visit to Paradise!

Loved the decor, hot tub, outdoor seating areas and indoor coziness!

Tropical staycation! Feels like you’ve been transported to Hawaii minus the long flight. My kids swam in the pool all day for a week!! We paid extra for the heated pool and it was so worth it since we were visiting during the winter. The pool was almost 90 degrees the whole time! We could swim anytime of the day no matter the weather. The outside ambiance was amazing especially at night with all the lights and the volcano fireplace. The beds we’re comfortable and the inside gas fireplace was very cozy. They had one bed and a futon downstairs and one bed and a futon mattress on the floor upstairs. It was perfect for my family of four. The entrance to the upstairs is from outside, but you can talk from the upstairs to the downstairs no problem since it’s open air at the top. We also brought along our dog who loved squirrel watching and listening to the parrots that flew over. The neighborhood was beautiful and perfect place to walk our dog. Lots of Christmas lights in December! Lots of grass and felt very safe. The kitchen had everything we needed. We used the stove, oven, toaster, and blender. Overall a wonderful vacation.

We had a great time in Polynesian paradise. The house is bigger than it appears in the pics. Outdoor area was terrific and we were happy to stream World Cup games as well. We appreciated the accommodation for a later checkout too. Thanks Jama!

Very nice, the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in besides my own.

When you walk through the gate you are magically transported to a Polynesian resort complete with pool and hot tub and your own private villa. There is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the weather and a table large enough to spend quality time with family either playing games or enjoying a meal together. The studio apartment area was large, clean and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with what every you would need should you want to cook. The loft bedroom was a nice addition with a private entrance. Since the owners live on the premises it was very easy to contact them regarding any questions we might have and they responded in a timely fashion. I found all the Polynesian decor to be quite fun. We spent a lot of time looking over all the vintage items that had been rescued from numerous restaurants. What a great collection. I would definitely recommend this property to friends who might want to stay in the Altadena area and would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay here! The property is very quiet and you really feel like you're in your own private paradise. The pool was fabulous and the spa was relaxing. The only issue we had was it was slightly difficult for us to get in and out of the spa. The surrounding plumeria trees while beautiful, have grown into the area where the steps are located so we were not able to stand upright to get in or out of the spa. We also did not use the spa at night because didn't see a light in the spa itself so we decided not to try and get in there after it had gotten dark. The outdoor patio tables are comfy and the fire table and lava rock fireplace helped to keep us warm when the temperature dipped at night. If you like Hawaii or vintage tiki culture, you'll love the inside of the house! There's plenty to look at and admire. The kitchen was fully stocked although we didn't use a lot of the items. There is a lot of decor in the house and we also noticed it was quite dusty in the areas that are not touched on a regular basis. The kitchen and bathroom were spotless. Overall, we loved this place. We were married on Oahu 27 years ago and love all things Hawaiian. We enjoyed the privacy, the quiet and even the daily visit from a neighborhood squirrel around 5pm. We named him 5 o'clock Charlie :).

Very much enjoyed staying here again for my short vacation. Lovely poolhouse, cozy and comfortable. Wonderful and generous hosts. We will be back again, thank you Jama and Joanne :)

The house was exactly as listed. The pool and outdoor space were fantastic and my 2 children loved staying in the upstairs section of the property. I would definitely recommend this property.

We had a wonderful at this property! It is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. When we entered the gate, we felt transported to a tropical getaway. The house and pool are well maintained and clean. The owners responded when we had questions, and gave us space otherwise. The large shallow end was great for our family to play in, and the hot tub was a wonderful way to end the day!

Jama was a great host, very responsive. Home was very comfortable and well stocked. We had great time in the pool and backyard. We really enjoyed our stay.

The property was fantastic! The property owner was amazing and friendly! 10 STARS!!!! We had so much fun as a family swimming and just relaxing in the beautiful pool area!

The rental was every bit as fantastic as the pictures had shown (sometimes even better). The inside is completely decked out from top-to-bottom with really fun, cool knickknacks, lights and decorations. The outside area follows suit and has the added bonus of a delightful pool, which was way deeper than the pictures made it out to be (big plus!). My family and a few friends spent a very enjoyable few days relaxing in and around the water while putting on a few Polynesian themed playlists. It really was a great time overall and Jama was super nice!

I can't say enough about the spa and pool, truly amazing. Beautiful tropical plants surrounding the area. I really liked all the tiki memorabilia throughout the house. We stayed upstairs in the loft area which is nice because it has privacy, although the downstairs bed has much easier access to the bathroom. You can't beat having your own private pool and hot tub on a nice SoCal day!
