great location, walking distance to town

Everything! stunning home.
We thought the spa had a bad smell so we didn’t use it. Cloudy water.
Rubbish bins outside hadn’t been put out prior to our arrival, they were full.
Not enough kindling to start the fire in main living area.

Everything! it is spectacular in every way, provides genuine value for money and is in a fantastic location.
The group I stayed with discussed possible shortcomings of this property and genuinely couldn’t identify a single one.

The grandeur of the home plus the close proximity to the town. The house was very clean with modern clean bathrooms.

We were four couples. The lodge was perfect as a base to explore the town and region and to relax and dine in the expansive open areas. As good as it gets with thanks to James for assistance and recommendations on vineyards.

It’s presentation inside and out, proximity to town
It got very cold and we couldn’t turn on the heating from the property. I also found the owner very unfriendly he didn’t provide any tips and wanted to engage at all. It was off putting.

Elm Tree Lodge is perfected located close to town. The renovation has maintained the heritage and charm of the original property while extending it with a modern touch. Everything about the property was fantastic and there were real bonuses with the vegetable and herb garden, pizza oven and spa. The cooks kitchen was well appointed and stocked with everything you could want. The gardens were simply stunning. The beds were supper comfortable.

Great location with easy walk to town centre, cafes, etc. Large home in very good condition with plenty of amenities. Loved the heated floors in the main living areas on those cold mornings/nights.
TV room not well configured for more than a few people - not that we used the television much on our stay anyway.
