This property served all our functional needs--everything was working well (kitchen, washer/dryer, bathrooms). Furthermore, the property put us in a prime spot only blocks away from PCH and the beach as well as only a few blocks from Main Street and the Pier. You can't beat how close the location puts you to everything.
A couple of heads up: there is no A/C--which might not be surprising so close to the ocean and its cooling breezes. (And this is a clear description in the listing before we booked--so no complaints from us. We came in with eyes wide open.) The unexpected challenge with this set up, however, is that in order to cool the Master Bedroom, you have to leave a sliding glass door open thru the night--exacerbated by the door being on the front of house exposed to the sidewalk and street. This didn't feel safe, but feeling stuffy is even more frustrating for the amount you pay to rent the place. Like beach houses sometimes are, this place isn't exactly a luxury stay. Everything's dated and, strangely, you have to press a button in the master bedroom to get hot water working for that bathroom and the kitchen thru a recirculator. It's not hard work to hit the button, just strange. It's kind of a symbol of the place.
Lastly, while not the owner's fault, the neighborhood has a college age, up-all-night, yelling-in-the-street vibe, too. So, if you're a family, be mindful of this as the things that are shouted aren't often edifying to children or to your own sleep.

My kids grew up going to Huntington Beach, so for my oldest Sons 40th Birthday we went there to celebrate and he was able to show his 6yr old son where he used to go

Unbelievable location and communication from the owner. We wanted a space near the beach and Main Street and this certainly accomplished that. Staying there with our 3 young boys it was so easy to pop out to the shops or walk to the ocean. Truly exactly what we hoped.
Parking in the attached was an excellent amenity as well. Thanks for everything

This is our second time staying at this property in Huntington Beach. We love the location which is close to the beach, trails and restaurants. Well maintained home and a great hostess. Highly recommend.

This rental was perfect! Nice clean home in a great location walking distance to beach and downtown. The house was nice, clean, and stocked with lots of stuff. Host was really nice and always quick to respond to any questions we had.

Condo was great. Plenty of space. Tremendous location and close to everything. Loved the bikes available to use as well as beach chairs. The unit owner was very nice, responsive and accommodating, particularly when we had to extend our stay by one night due to cancelled flight. Our family had a great time, and would love to come back to same unit.

Condo was great. Plenty of space. Tremendous location and close to everything. Loved the bikes available to use as well as beach chairs. The unit owner was very nice, responsive and accommodating, particularly when we had to extend our stay by one night due to cancelled flight. Beach equipment was a real plus even though we did not get the chance to use the bikes. Beach towels were ample for the entire family. Everything worked great!!!

Huntington Beach Getaway
Our nephews beautiful wedding brought us to Huntington Beach but we enjoyed so much more.....the 2021 Air Show was going on which was amazing and a big surprise. The location of the home was so close we could walk to the beach/pier everyday and spend a good amount of time enjoying the perfect weather, great food and fun activities. It was our first visit to HB and we will definitely be back, hopefully staying in the same vrbo.

The only downside to the no air was we had the windows and patio doors open, so I was woken up every morning by 6am due to traffic, trucks beeping while backing up, people laughing/talking loudly while walking by.

There was a leak from the upstairs bathroom and it was leaking all over the downstairs bathroom counter and we had to soak up the water with towels.

The property is was great. Not elaborate, but comfy. It was a short walk to the beach (less than 2 blocks). The beach amenities (beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards) that were at the property were awesome to have. My older 2 kids (20 and 17 yes old) took the bikes out a couple of days and had a blast. For the price and I don't think you could find a better place to stay. We would definitely rent this place again.

This property is so close to main street and the pier! We loved walking to Sanchos tacos and 602 coffee each morning for breakfast as well as picking up food from main street and taking it back to our place. It was an ease to walk to the beach with our kids and wagon and we borrowed the chairs and sand toys from the property. Great clean spacious bathrooms and kitchen was well supplied. We are from AZ, so no A/C was a little hard for us, but we managed with the fans and doors open at night (thought it was very loud on the weekend with people parking on the street and talking by their cars or loud vehicles driving by revving their engines). We loved the twin beds for our two young kids that were right next to our bedroom. The homeowner/property manager was a call away and answered when we had a question. We were a little disappointed that we couldn't park our car in the garage as it only fits a compact car (we drive a van) but there was enough parking on the street in front of the residence that we didn't mind. All in all we loved the home, location and the space/cleanliness. We will definitely be back!!

Amazing
We had a great time! The house was clean and everyone had their own balcony. The bikes, beach chairs and body boards were convenient and fun. The neighbors were great and the property owner was attentive. Anyone looking for a nice vacation on the beach with shopping and restaurants within walking distance. This would be a great place stay.

Perfect for our family
We would definitely stay there again. We have stayed at quite a few places in the past few years in Huntington Beach, this by far was the best. It was very clean the owner was very responsive to us and what a great location. If I had any complaints it would be that it is somewhat hard to park because of the great location and the second house is above the living room area and the neighbors walking or running through their house can get very loud, but yet when sleeping in the rooms we didn't hear it at all.

Excellent Location
Spacious, clean, updated beach condo. 2 blocks from beach at lifeguard Tower 4 which is excellent for kids. The shore has a more shallow sandy beach bottom for kids to enjoy as opposed to farther away from the pier. House provided all beach toys (sand toys, boogie boards, umbrella, beach towels.
Garage parking is ideal. No need to use car unless going to Grocery store . Also easy to street park in the evenings once beach goers leave.

Worst VRBO stay, ever
**PLEASE READ** We have been using VRBO for years and have never come across a property or situation like this. When we first booked "Remodeled Beach Oasis", our primary concerns were proximity to our other family's rental and to the beach. Even though we could tell by the pictures that it wasn't an "oasis", the decor wasn't our primary concern. As long as it was clean, we were good. And my one and only positive aspect of this review was that the owner was good about responding to my queries quickly.
After reading the somewhat confusing directions on how to enter the property we got into the condo. Outwardly it looked as pictured. We stepped into the back patio space (after almost not being able to open the sliding screen door as it was rusted and torn) and were greeted with a tons of clutter and disorganization. We walked toward the garage door in order to enter it and open the door so we could park. Inside the garage was an awful sight. There was BLACK MOLD AND TRASH EVERYWHERE (maybe flooding on the roof of the garage) -- the ceiling drywall was partially torn down and there was mold there and on the walls.
That alone was bad enough, but separate from that there was shelving inside and outside of the garage that was stuffed with clutter and actual TRASH. Also there was a water heater that was surrounded by more trash and boxes, with literally no safe space for access, and was a fire hazard.
We looked more closely at the condo itself -- the back sliding door did not lock, an upstairs sliding screen door fell off its track and there were several cabinets (they were not locked so we assumed we could open them) in the kitchen and elsewhere that had misc. items stuffed in them as if the owners crammed everything into some spaces and then left quickly (see previous review). We spent that night and next morning documenting what we saw and finding a new condo. We informed the owner that we would be leaving as soon as we found another condo. She refunded us EXCEPT FOR THAT FIRST NIGHT AND A CLEANING FEE! We are disputing that. The owner never should have posted this property in that condition and we spent the first 36 hours of our vacation dealing with this horrible mess.

Perfect spot to walk downtown and to the beach!
Roomy place with spacious living area and bedrooms/baths. Really nice to have a garage spot to park in and not have to search for street parking. Few little quirky things with hot water in master
bath, but once we figured out no big deal. Bianca was quick to respond to questions. If there are renters upstairs it can be a little loud but they aren’t over the bedrooms so minimal. So great to be in walking distance of so much!
