Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) had an amazing stay at the Camden Harborfront Loft over 4th of July week. The location in downtown Camden is perfect for shopping, resturants and harbor excursions. It was also central for day trips up and down the coast. The loft itself was perfect for our family and the deck overlooking the harbor made for an epic viewing of fireworks over the harbor. We thoroughly enjoyed the harbor and waterfall view, not to mention soothing sound of rushing water. The space itself was appointed as stated in the listing and adequate. I highly recommend the Camden Harborfront Loft.

The apartment was neat and clean when we arrived. It is located right next to a lovely park, where we could walk our dog every day. Great views of the harbor. Close to shops and restaurants. Parking was occasionally a problem, but not too difficult. Since it's right on the main street, traffic could be noisy, but didn't seem to bother us much.

The Harborfront Loft is all about location, location.
The loft is equipped with beautiful décor including stunning view of the Camden Harbor from the back deck – perfect for morning coffee! Really makes you feel at home!!
Perfectly located in downtown Camden. The loft offers short walks to everything Camden’s oceanfront town has to offer!
Chris was great and helped with any questions we had and offered direction with his recommendations for food, local attractions, etc. House has been maintained well and the cleaners did a great job!
We couldn’t have asked for a better MidCoast getaway and look forward to coming back next year!!!

This property is way over priced. You can go a block away and stay for half the price. You may give up a harbor view but you also give up the view of the roof tops of many of the commercial businesses in downtown Camden. The street noise from the vehicular traffic particularly the tractor trailer rigs is not pleasant.. The front door had a pretty bad sticking problem that you had to bump hard with your hip to get into the steep stairwell. I was concerned about the access code on the security lock. Not sure if it was changed from one guest to the next. It was an electro mechanical lock that has to be manually changed. Also, the glass sliding door going onto the deck, the lock was not working. The dryer had a damp bed spread in it and the washer had a bed spread and bed linens in it that that had not been washed. My wife completed these task, folded and placed on top of the bed in the street side bedroom. WE purchased washing pods to wash the towels we used per the "Rules" for guest. There were no coffee filters for the Hamilton Beach coffee maker. We purchased the correct cone shaped filters for the coffee maker.
I will not stay at the Camden Harbor Loft again. The overall rating of three stars is generous.

The location is absolutely perfect! The view from the back deck is gorgeous and we loved listening to the sounds of the waterfall. So convenient to walk to the harbor, shops and restaurants. Parking really was not an issue, we parked a block away in the library lot overnight, and right in front of the apartment a few times during the day. We had everything we needed for a great week with our best friends!

Arrival is stressful. There is no confirmed parking spot with the unit; therefore, your only choice is to park a few blocks away and carry all of your belongings to the unit and then up the stairs—unless you're lucky enough to snag a close parking spot, but Camden is busy.
Upon arrival, we could see that the unit was NOT clean. The outdoor entrance was filthy. There was noticeable dirt and dog hair everywhere. The bathtub, kitchen sink, floors, deck, and deck cushions were also dirty. For the amount they charge the renter for cleaning, the owners are definitely not getting their money's worth. But, the worst part of all was that the master bathtub was clogged all week. We were standing in 3-inches of water every time we showered. Looking at past reviews, we noticed this has been a problem as far back as 2018—and obviously, has not been addressed! :( On vacation, I look forward to a nice hot bath and there was NO WAY you could have sat and relaxed in that nasty tub. They do not show pictures of the bathrooms on the site, and that's because they are very small, subpar, and lack luxury. We took Clorox wipes and wiped everything down ourselves.
As we were planning our trip to Camden, we had plans to cook in the vrbo. We thought it was awesome that the place had a grill, full kitchen, etc. We arrived to find that there is a procedure to follow in order to use the stove. The grill hasn't been cleaned in ages. The kitchen sink was gross. The trash situation wasn't ideal. In taking out the trash, all would have been fine except the trash was stockpiled out beside the unit and no one had followed the 'yellow bag rule' except for us. Needless to say, we ate out the entire trip and didn't use the kitchen and 'amenities.'
Another disappointment was the washer. No matter what setting you put it on (we explored) BOILING HOT water washed your clothes every time. If you were not standing at the washer when the cycle finished, it would lock the door and repeat the cycle AGAIN. It ruined two of my dad's Under Armour shirts/short sets.
The unit was HOT! A portable air conditioner was not sufficient.
The pillows and towels were old and ragged.
The positives were definitely the location, view of the harbor, the park next door, decent beds, and cute decor. It was pretty disappointing for the price we paid.

A lot of Issues - you’ve been warned.
Chris isn’t very responsive, likes to deflect, wants to blame the renter for his shortcomings, and is definitely not updating his rental.
* Smells like cigarette smoke (off and on all week)
* vacuum cleaner broken
*bed pillows are yellow due to years of tenant sweat
* AC is only in living room (place is hot)
* Washing machine uses hot water when cold is selected (ruined $100’s of lululemon’s)
* Bathroom door doesn’t close (rear)
* Mold on baseboards in bathroom
* Stairs are filthy
* Baseboards are filthy
* Kitchenette is poorly stocked
* No proper grilling tools
* Oven lights 30% of the time. Cost us $100 in unused frozen food
* Unit is dirty. Like the knobs on the stove haven’t been cleaned… like ever. Dog hair on floor. Dog hair on stairs.
* A thin transparent drape on the windows of the bathrooms and bedrooms? It’s uncomfortable to even change let alone sleep past 5am.
* A thin curtain separates the bathroom and a restaurant patio making it odd to use the restroom
* Downstairs business is a psychic palm reader not Camden Cotton
* Beds are very uncomfortable
* No parking near unit (nearly impossible to unpack on arrival or get your groceries in)
Basically, the place was a big disappointment and Chris acts more like a slum lord than VRBO host. I have photos of everything posted and VRBO has been notified. You’ve been warned!

View of the harbor can’t be beat. The condo is nicely decorated. You can walk anywhere in town. Great restaurants and shopping. The amenities are very limited. Bring your own toilet paper, tissues, dish soap and detergent. The trash issue was never resolved while we were there. Several attempts to contact the property manager were made and we never heard back. It needs a good deep cleaning. Very limited towels and no blankets. Had to go buy several blankets as it was cold several nights. Tried to reach the property manager but no response. Just beware you are on your own here.

Great location if you are looking for the Camden experience. Deck overlooks the harbor with the river spillway running right under it! Stagger across the street to Boynton McKay for the best gourmet donuts and around the corner to Zoots' new coffee location.
Floorplan is 2 "owner suite" bedrooms (front and rear) with with queen beds and ensuite bathrooms, joined by a large common area. Washer/Dryer and deck gas grill are new. Perfect for 2 couples.

Location and view!
Wonderful location in the heart of Camden. There is a market within walking distance that has everything you need. Central location was ideal for day trips. The view from the back deck was perfect. It overlooks the harbor and a park. The furniture and beds were comfortable. Property manager was helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Good location, Unit Problems & Slow Response Owner
The unit is in a good location and is a nice space. The following were either not available or not working: the oven (never worked), the overhead light and fan in bedroom stopped working after 3 or 4 days and never worked again (at
my insistence, a floor lamp was finally provided 6 days after arrival), washing machine hooked up wrong (Hot for cold and vice versa, all rinses hot so dark clothes had to be taken to laundromat), wi-fi did not work on arrival (after two days we were given password to downstairs's tenant's wi-fi to use, could not get basic tv channels like ESPN and CNN until three days later when we had to contact Direct TV and add a service. When we rented the unit the owner assured us he would put in an AC unit it was not there. He sent one up two days later which my husband had to help get up steep stairs to the second floor and assist with the installation. Dealing with all these problems was very stressful, especially since the owner took up to 48 hours to respond at times and often did not follow through on what he said he would do to fix the problem.

Perfect location
Lovely spacious loft in a perfect location both in Camden and the State of Maine. Two couples enjoyed this property for one week, using as home base while we explored Maine. Camden is charming with awesome views, good restaurants and local boutique shopping. The Loft was ideal for the four of us. One bedroom on either end of the living area. Each with it's own bath. The back bedroom over looked the harbor and had a large deck where we viewed the Blood Moon under the stars while sipping a glass of wine. We highly recommend this property!

Fabulous loft in Camden Harbor!
Beautiful views from every window! You are just above the beautiful Camden harbor, flowing waterfall, and gorgeous park. Was lucky to be there over the July 4th weekend and had the town's best view of the fireworks right off the back deck. The loft is bright and cheerful and beautifully decorated. The historic town of Camden was both gorgeous and a great location to spend a week's vacation in Maine. Everyone in town could not be have more welcoming, and there were wonderful shops, art studios and restaurants just steps away. Being in the Mid Coast also made it possible for a day trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia, and was an easy drive to the many historic lighthouses and charming towns along the coastline. A highlight was taking a ride on the lobster boat "Lively Lady". They offered an incredible Eco-tour right out Camden harbor. A fun and knowledgeable crew took us on a breathtaking trip through the harbor on the day of the great schooner race! We passed right by these amazing sailboats at full mast, and we came alongside small islands with ospreys, eagles, and harbor seals who followed us along. The crew also hauled lobsters traps on board, let us throw the small ones back, and gave us a true appreciation for lobster men and history of the area. All and all, a fantastic stay. Highly recommend the Camden Loft!

Location Location Location!
This loft is the IDEAL location for everything Camden! Steps from your door are shops, restaurants, the harbor, and more. There is even a small grocery in walking distance.
The loft is beautifully decorated, with a Maine theme, is super clean, and has a view to the harbor - you can enjoy seeing the boats morning, noon, and night.
We were initially concerned that noise would be an issue but this was not the case - there is a sunglass shop below and it was quiet. You do have the park outside your windows so you might hear kids playing, but that was just fine with us.
There is not a designated parking spot for this unit, but this was not a problem for us either. There is 2 hour parking just outside the unit, plus all day (free) parking only a block away, AND situated by the police department so you don't worry about your car being bothered.
Note there is not air conditioning in case you like it very cool. During Maine evenings when it's cool it's nice to open the windows and enjoy the breeze. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans although the main living area does not. I recommend adding one or two to the owner for hotter days, as it was quite stuffy on the hot days of our stay.
Depending on your preference you will either love the beds or not - the one we slept on was hard.
One more plus is that there is a washer and dryer, making your packing easier because you know you can do laundry and wear your clothes again.
And finally, the owner is super friendly and helpful regarding things to do in the area. We followed most of his suggestions and really enjoyed our stay.
I would rate this a 5 star stay except for the no fan in the living area and the hard bed. For those two reasons I rate this loft a 4+. I would rent it again.
Enjoy!

The "Loft" -- just as the photos show is bright and cheerful and has all the amenities. Set in one of the most picturesque villages on the coast. Walk to everything .I know it sounds like an ad but all true. The owners are very accommodating and pleasant to deal with.Thank you Chris we will return.

Perfect Location! Amazing Views!
My family of 5 enjoyed a wonderful week's stay at this fabulous, downtown Camden loft apartment. The apartment was sparkling clean and decorated to perfectly fit the Maine surroundings. We couldn't believe how amazing the views were from the living room, back bedroom and of course the awesome deck that is literally right over the harbor! In the back bedroom you'll fall asleep to the sound of the waterfall.
For those considering a stay with young children, the apartment is perfect with a large bedroom at the front with plenty of room for a extra air mattress. We had 3 small children in the front room and were very comfortable. If you have very young children (<3), you may want to be aware that the stairway is open to the living room/kitchen. There are 2 bathrooms and even a washer and dryer that comes in so handy when traveling with kids. I appreciated that the owner had even left some detergent pods for us to use.
The kitchen is just right for vacation - prepping quick meals and drinks. All dishware and kitchen basics were provided and all brand new - not the mismatched leftovers we've found at other rentals. I even enjoyed washing up the dishes here with the breeze coming in from the large windows over the sink and the view of the park.
Many great meal choices are only a few steps from your door - some of our favorites Camden Deli, Mariner's (blueberry pancakes!) and Boynton McKay. Everyone will have fun shopping in the Smiling Cow that is right next door. We enjoyed taking jogs down Bayview Street and a hike in Camden Hills State Park is another must do.
Hope to be back soon! Thanks for a great week!

Great Views!
Great Maine decor with wonderful views of the harbor and neighboring park. The sound of the nearby waterfall was very relaxing as we sat on the deck drinking wine from the local wine shop down the street. Very nice!
