Overall, I enjoyed the 360 degree views of the harbor and the mountains. I woke up early just to take in the views, the small hike up the hill is worth the views. The thing I disliked about the property is that there was dog hairs EVERYWHERE. The room with the queen bed towards the road at the entrance, the window leaked throughout the rainstorms. The room with the double twin beds, had no blinds, so NO privacy. In the living/kitchen area, there needs to be a child proofing gate or some sort of gate so that children don't wonder down those stairs and get hurt. The bathroom, I suggest adding a step for folks with bad knees, so that the tub doesn't act as knee knocker. Overall, it was a great stay. The house was stocked with essentials and the location was accessible to the VONS grocery store 5 min walk and to the main shopping area.

The views were wonderful from this third story location. It was very clean and stocked with all our needs. The only suggestion I would recommend, offer a golf cart as an option. Catalina Vacation Rentals was very professional and helpful. I would definitely recommend. Thank you for a fun vacation on such a beautiful island.

rental was great, but… All the tvs were out of wack, all controls were in disarray. The one in living room is over inaccessible steps going to downstairs unit, in fact it is unplugged. Property was very clean. We stay at many rentals and we’re very surprised that there was not even a salt shaker there…no coffee or tea…things that are left by previous renters, fridge was polished CLEAN; very unusual and a waste of money when a small quantity is needed. Small improvements to consider: Beds could use mattress upgrade Shower doesn’t work well, the entire bathtub should be eliminated and something more useful and safe be placed…no handlebars is dangerous. Shape of tub is for sitting in it, not to stand for a shower, it makes one feel unstable with nothing to hold on to… its an accident waiting to happen… Paint job is fabulous, great attention to detail. Loved the colors.

Well laid out top floor of 3 story property. Comfortable with views of hillside and harbor. Main bedroom has only full size bed, be prepared. Updated kitchen but a new shower curtain would help.

Been to Catalina numerous times. This was a great spot for our family. Housed 6 adults comfortably, and very clean. The balcony view was a perfect locale for BBQ and relaxing.

Our property was very clean and freshly painted. There were beautiful windows all around which afforded amazing views of the water, town and Hills! It was a bit of a hike getting up Metropole at the end of the day, but the location was perfect. Close to the new Vons market, miniature golf and straight down to town. Only complaint were the beds-and couches (very funky). The front double was so so, but the twins in the 2nd bedroom were very hard and uncomfortable, same as The Murphy bed in the living room. We would book again ONLY if new GOOD quality beds were put in.

Wasn’t impressed at all next time I will stay in a hotel. The place wasn’t very clean. The furniture was ridiculous. The shower curtain as disgusting. Bath towels were stain. Thankfully I brought my own.

We were looking for a place to stay that could sleep our family of 2 adults and 3 kids. This was perfect! The kitchen was fully stocked with any item you would need. There was a new BBQ on the patio, which we used. The bedrooms were nice with clean new linens. Wonderful views from every window! CONS: no AC!!! It was a hot weekend a few weeks ago, and we didnt realize that there was no AC. But the managers brought us window fans as soon as I called them. That helped a lot. Another problem was that it is up a steep hill, you walk up about a block from the main street. I didn't mind but my kids complained. PROS: a short walk to VONS! Also a short walk to the ocean front. Very cool street and a great location once you hit the main promenade about 1 block down the hill. I would go back!

My family and I enjoyed our annual trip to Catalina Island. The 318 Metropole property was beautifully situated and the third-story view with many windows provided breathtaking photo opportunities. Obviously, with the steep outdoor staircase, access is limited for some guests. If we book again next year, there were some plumbing issues like the kitchen faucet leaking and the bathroom shower not keeping its temperature steady....could go icy cold to boiling hot in seconds. Also, the bedspread in the queen-bed room could use an upgrade - was worn and had many small tears in it. We did appreciate the well-equipped kitchen. Overall, above average property, but a bit pricey.

Catalina is a wonderful place and this spot is a great place to enjoy it from.

The view is the star of this home offering a full ocean vista as well as the town and mountains on two other sides including up the.canyon toward the Wrigley Memorial. The home has been fairly recently re-done and is bright and clean. This would be an ideal spot if the balcony were only facing the view.

We loved the stay here :) for some reason I was under the impression that it was a two story home, however its just the top floor but it worked great for us. the view is amazing! we walked it from the port and it was about 6min to the check in office and like less than 10min from there to the house. There's a Vons market in that same street which worked perfect for us, super convenient. Only downside was the small uphill we had to walk but nothing to extreme. The house is very clean and taken care of, the 2bedrooms were comfortable and the pull out bed in the livingroom worked great! The TV was the only thing we had some trouble with, its mounted on a wall where we can't reach it since we were trying to connect our laptop in order to watch a movie...other than that the home is great, we opened up a few windows and the house instantly cooled down... beautiful feeling. Brought my dad for his bday; he and all of us really enjoyed our stay...we will recommend this place :)
