Check in was a lil difficult with instructions but called the owner who was supposed to have housekeeping come help me she never showed and when I called the owner for the 2nd time no answer but after 30 mins we were in. No wash cloths at all in the room or paper towels, the floors were still sticky and spots of chocolate under the table, had to take cold showers daily, water could run for 40 mins and still cold. This property needs definite improvement.

BEWARE before you book...
Before the owner comments that we did not attempt to work this out before we left this review, just know we did. The last time I made contact with the owner was on June 10, 2022 and they stated they would get back with me on our refund. We communicated constantly from our first night stay. We brought up the fact that there were several issues with the room and it was to the point where the owner did promise to reimburse us for one night stay (which never happened after all). The location is great. The building itself is nice and it has a pool with beach access. BUT, the actual room itself is tiny, cluttered and filled with items leftover from other people who have stayed there (toiletries, food items, etc). It felt like I was staying at someone's cluttered apartment for the weekend. If you are a tall or a plus size person, this room is definitely not for you. The toilet sits in a corner (literally) and when you sit down your legs are cramped up against the tub. No room to move at all. The room was barely clean at best, and when we brought it up, the owner offered to send cleaning staff back in. The window coverings were torn which lead to a privacy issue. Linens were stained and we only stayed the first night and then checked ourselves into a lovely hotel on the beach. Hotels are the way to go because you just never know what/who you are going to deal with. We feel we got scammed. I would really think twice about booking with this person. It is a disappointment because I feel like at least they were committed to making it right with us, but in the end, they did not.

Everything good. One lightbulb out in bathroom, only one bath towels no wash cloths available. Everyone we met was pleasant and friendly.

Didn't know there was no parking, spent 5 hours and lost out on money due to locating parking. Which at 6th and Washington is a Public parking garage. Would have been great to know this before we wasted money on extremely high street parking ($40.00 for 10 hours which expiredin the middleof the night). I definitely have learned to ask next time. The apartment was nice and cozy. However, the ceiling light fan didn't work, just kept flickering, completely unusable. Light above the closet only glowed a dark orange giving no light at all. We had to keep the bathroom light on and TV at night so we can see. Very miserable. Was a light under the cabinet that did not work either. We would definitely return to this property with a guarantee that all lighting is corrected with what works best with a very old building.

On our first night staying here my travel partner got really sick, we later discovered the air conditioner was full of mold. I messaged the property owner and she read the message but never got a response from her. We definitely will not be staying here again.

Great for a quick trip!
Cozy little apartment. The check in process is fairly straightforward and the host was very communicative. Perfect for a weekend away. We spent most of our time at the beach (literally steps away) and checking out the cool shops, bars, and restaurants on Ocean Drive (like 5 min walk). The pool area is nice. The only thing of note is that we weren’t sure if the towels were clean (one was folded nicely while the other was hung on a rack - we weren’t sure if a past guest had used it and hung to dry?). We were also a little concerned about the A/C, which appeared to be full of mold inside.

The property was great and I would stay there again when I go back to Miami for a cruise. You get the most bang for your buck for sure!

TV only had one channel but you are only sleeping so its not to big of a deal but would be nice to watch more than the Discover channel.
No smoke detector in room
No toilet paper roll for the Toilet Paper
AC works but could be replaced- its hurting but still works
Again the above is minor and easy fixes. I would stay here in a heartbeat when I am out there.

Smoke alarm blaring on our entry. Resembled a hostel. Not the cleanest. Comforter had no cover.
It really wasn’t as the pictures portrayed. It was our first vrbo experience and our last. Safer to stick with reputable hotel.

Great
It’s small but you’re there for vacation not to stay in the room so it’s perfect. Great location. Just only came with one beach towel and one shower towel so we had to go buy more just to leave behind since we couldn’t fit them. Still highly Recommend!

So the check in process is awful. You have to get into the lock box outside to get your key to get into the building. Then once your in u got a code u have to memorize to open and lock the door. The door does not automatically lock behind you. We had four things of luggage, so was a big pain to just get in the building. Then once u get into the building there is a very old two person elevator. The place is a studio. It was clean but very very small. But atleast there was AC. My only thing that bothered me was there was no toilet paper holder and the bathroom is already super tiny. But the location is perfect. Right on the beach.

I loved my stay here. The owner was amazing and made my stay so comfortable. Traveling alone is not easy and this owner made me feel at ease. The room was perfect and quiet and the and amenities were just as described. I hope next time I book this unit is available because it was an amazing experience.

Great Rate and Location
Great price in a central location. Right off the beach and the pool is amazing. If your looking for something to be in just to sleep this is for you! I even used the cooking materials inside of the room to make dinner one night and everything was amazing. Bed was more than comfortable. Only issue I had was the shower did not have hot water most of the trip only warm. I was told this was an issue with the building.

The door batteries were dead when we arrived so the door wouldn't lock. There where roaches. Couldn't bare to stay the second night. Owner would not refund, or return my message when I asked her for one.

You get what you pay for
Upon arrival the lockbox thing to get your key is a little frustrating. But we got there late and it was dark. Entering the building was kinda cool. Art Deco style and it was clean smelling. Honestly the room itself is not first floor, def second floor, there were sheets kinda wadded up in the closet and under the bed. Why did we even look under the bed? Because the bed was broke. Had to literally lift the mattress up to fix it so we weren’t half way rolling into the wall. More than once. If you shifted the wrong way the slats would come out from underneath the bed. The location was awesome? Very close to the beach and restaurants. We didn’t even need to rent a car. Cools down great with the ac. If you wish to use the coffee maker make sure you bring what you need. Only towels and toilet paper are provided. You will need everything else. We walked to a cvs. We weren’t completely pissed til we left tho. Roaches under our shampoo bottles in the tub, roaches in the sink, on the floor. I was so mad that it’s taken me a week to write this review. We threw a lot of stuff away and had to shake out our suitcases to make sure we didn’t take any home. Will not stay here again. Property needs to be properly cleaned and put together before guests are expected again. Basic maintenance and a few little extras, would have made this a worth while stay.

Have low expectations
Well this is a first for me to write any kind of negative review. Please don't waste your money. Almost everything in the listing is a lie. It's not on the first floor but the second. The building manager was extremely rude and unhelpful. The building reaked and was dirty. And the lock system!! You literally have to dig throw over 30 lock boxes to find the right one. Then the bedroom... there was garbage on the floor and not even the toilet paper roll was changed from the last guests. We walked into the room and walked out and drove 4 hrs to another room. And the parking! The ad says on street parking, what it does not say is that it is nearly impossible to find especially within walking distance. And good luck finding something less than AT LEAST $30 a day. The ONLY positive thing about this place at all was that it was literally right next to the beach where we sat for 30 minutes trying to make other stay arrangements.

bad experience
We spent a lot and changed our flights to arrive in Miami and get half a day on the beach. Very lucky that we did as our original plan was to arrive at 11:00pm. When we arrived to check in, the property hadn't been cleaned. We contacted the manager, who apologized and told us the cleaning team wouldn't be able to arrive until 5:00. We had dinner plans with friends at 5:00, the manager suggested we shower in the dirty apartment. We had nowhere to keep our bags( 3 large suitcases for upcoming cruise) and had to find local restaurants to use the restrooms. Called VRBO to let them know our property wouldn't be ready for us to check in until late that night, we wanted to go somewhere else. They told us if it was going to be cleaned eventually the issue was resolved. We took our bags and left. Very disappointed in VRBO, unlikely to use them again and I'd used their service exclusively for years.

Perfectly convenient to South Beach restaurants, nightlife etc. Far enough away to be quiet. Room was a little smaller than I thought but just needed a good quick night stay, and this was perfect! Extremely comfortable bed! There is a washer and dryer in the hallway.

Me and my fiancee was visiting Miami for an event. The apartment was nice and just enough space for two people.... Mrs Judith was a great hostess. Everything worked great wifi was fast. We really enjoyed it!!!
