>Comfy beds albeit mattresses quite firm >Location is great: just 5min from metro station, nearby is a big park and a couple of supermarkets if needed; Avenida de Liberdad is round the corner so if the weather is nice and you feel like walking, the main touristic area and the waterfront are reachable within 20-30mins. Otherwise 5-10mins by metro/bus. >At the same time the hotel is in a quiet corner, off the large roads so you won’t be disturbed by noise from streets. >The breakfast is okay, nice selection although bread options could be better - the buns were a bit stale and there was only a hard sourdough loaf available to make toasties >Friendly staff at reception and in breakfast room.

>Only filter coffee available at breakfast. I have not come across a hotel without a proper coffee machine in the breakfast room for a number of years and it was quite shocking. Dear management team, please do invest in one! It will totally lift the experience people have at your hotel. Luckily we had coffee machines in the room and capsules were topped up every day (for my companion two were not enough but we got a sleeve of them at the nearby supermarket). >Cleanliness could be better: the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned after previous guests, overall you could tell all the surfaces needed a bit more more care >Sound insulation between rooms is not good - the hotel itself is in a quiet corner off main streets so you won’t be disturbed by noise from streets but you can hear people from neighbouring rooms well

There is a huge rubbish processing site right underneath my hotel room window. on the last night of my stay, I was woke up by huge huge noise between 2am - 2:30am in the morning!! I went to the window and saw rubbish trucks are processing rubbish, making huge huge noise!! there were about 3 to 4 trucks came and go. I couldn’t go back to sleep after being woke up! I lost the whole night sleep!! I reported the issue to the night shift person at the hotel, and left my mobile and email address when I checked out in the morning. I requested for 1 night refund because I didn’t sleep that night! But after 4 days, nobody from the hotel contacted me, even not an apology!! I reported the issue to Booking.com with the videos I took of the rubbish processing site. But Sana Capitol Hotel reply to Booking.com “there is nothing we can do about the noise.”, so no refund! no apology!! This is completely absurd! What they CAN do is to refund me 1 night charge and apologize!! Let Guests to enjoy quiet night sleep is the basic requirement for a hotel! but they have failed! They have failed the standards for being a hospitality business! This is not acceptable!!

Lovely room, very quiet. Staff were very helpful. The breakfast buffet was really nice with a huge choice.

Only one issue.. the shelf in the wardrobe was broken
