The takeaway hot chocolate

We arrived at the international hotel on a Friday, when we arrived it was apparent that an event was talking place at the international center as the hotel was very busy. We were greeted by the staff then give our rooms key. When the booking was made I specifically requested a crib as I was traveling with my two small babies. Unfortunately when we arrived at the room there was no crib. We then asked the hotel staff for this which to my surprise was presented with a carry cot which was not fit for purpose. Myself and my husband had to re adjust the room where we put the two twin beds together in order for us to lay in the bed with our two babies. The room itself was very standard and definitely not good value for money. There was a standard 15 inch lcd tv which was difficult to connect. Some of the sockets were not working also. This was very disappointing. In the morning we visited the restaurant for the continental breakfast where we were offered only bacon and beans. There was very little variety which was again disappointing. The following morning my husband had to make A trip out of the hotel, on his return he was approached aggressively by a hotel staff who stated that we could not park in a blue badge space. This was discriminatory as the staff had not seen if we had a blue badge, but just assumed that we were parking in a disabled bay for the sake of it. We are blue badge holders and this was extremely disappointing as the staff member could have gone to the car and seen a visible blue badge rather than making an assumption. This was a complete put off and will not recommend this hotel, the facilities and amnesties are very standard and is not worth the price in which it’s advertised.

Easy to get to and simple check in from helpful staff. Beds and pillows exceptionally comfortable slept so well and great WiFi. Breakfast was also excellent just right more than just a continental

We had a ground floor accessibility room which was fine but the sink was so low it was awkward to use. There was a lack of hooks and shelving on which to put clothes and toiletries. Rooms were not being serviced which meant replenishing of loo rolls or tea/coffee supplies. Breakfast as a vegetarian was a big let down. The only hot food available for veggies was the slightly warm baked beans. Boiled eggs were available but they were chilled and in the fridge. Not a great start to the day.

When I reported the issues in my room I was moved with no issues at all no questions asked staff were very friendly and even offered to help move my clothes etc from one room to the other

When I arrived reception could not find my booking I had to prove this by showing my hotel.com reservation it was clear that the hotel did not have the details of this. I was then put into a room that was very very cold it was clear the heating was not working and the smell of damp was unbearable. There was dust in the dressing table by the tv it looked like the areas dusted were the areas that could be seen not the areas that you would go looking behind ie behind the tv. The soap scum of the shower Pipe was disgusting too but I did report all of this when I asked to be moved rooms due to the smell The breakfast area could be a bit better organised when there is a high volume of guests
