De locatie, modern, goed restaurant, professioneel en empatisch personeel, parkeerplaats voor de deur, gratis was- en droogmachines.
-Jammer dat er geen zicht was op het meer - ingesloten tussen andere gebouwen
- wandelweg in front of terras = minder privacy

Warm and comfortable
The steep stairs and need to go upstairs for toilet

The view was stunning. The resort hosted an easter egg hunt for the kids during our stay. There were lots of easter eggs (chocolate) for everyone. That makes the stay memorable and special.
Breakfast buffet was good, although the staffs were slow to top up the food.
It’s not very clean. If you have kids with sensitive skin, they might feel itchy the whole stay.

It warm and not far from the shops. Bathroom was nice. Room had a decent sized fridge but not sure what you'd use it for.
Room was too small and noisy from people in joining apartment. Uncomfortable bed. No room to hang anything or for a suitcase. Space for a microwave but there wasn't one. No space even for 2 people. Poorly designed room for space with an ironing board in cupboard with no space to iron.

Very good bathroom and shower with toiletries provided. Heated towel rail and fan.
Room was too small even for one night stay but very clean. Too warm in our room. We only had small bags but nowhere to put them. Cupboard was funny as there was somewhere to hang things but not enough room to hang them? . An ironing board!! with no room to iron. Bathroom was good with excellent shower. There is a shelf with nothing on it in the area for making a drink that could be for a microwave but there isn't one. The room could be layed out better to make things fit. The fridge is great but the Cupboard door didn't close properly. Single beds were uncomfortable unfortunately. I think if you are on your own and just want somewhere to sleep for one night it would be ok but I wouldn't Stay again sorry.

Very comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. It was very quiet and our room was made up and we got fresh towels daily and our beverages were replenished. This hotel is well located for central Tekapo.
General maintenance was poor, with the towel rail hanging off the wall. The door chain was also broken, as it had been forced previously.

Very luxurious room with balcony and views. very friendly staff.
Too busy. Basic choice of food in the restaurant with not much choice for vegetarians. Staff very attentive but struggling with the amount of people which made it less relaxing.

Room was clean and the location was good.
Room was tiny, with no seating area other than on the bed! Not suitable for anybody wishing to work at a desk - or get a bigger room, which we did not know that we would need. Went to the common area opposite the check-in counter and there was no desk area there either. Had to work on a lounge chair hunched over a low table. y the time they found me a vacant table in the dining area 20 minutes later, I was almost done.
Room WiFi did not work in that common area (understandably - it was 100m from the room) but needed two other trials before one worked. Front desk staff were passively helpful.
Breakfast in the morning was ordinary - good variety, but we had to ask for: cereal bowls; fruit plate top up; bread for toasting and toast plates. Staff inattentive to condition of the offerings - or just run off their feet.
That being said, food wastage from the tour group members was HUGE. Plates piled with food and then hardly touched.

The resort is super, great views & ideal bar & restaurant location.
V close to lake.
We were clearly in a budget room & didn't like it at all. But guess we didn't check before checking in. V small, downstairs, back entrance unit with zero outlook.
Felt little disappointed as still paying North Island prices (ie, even budget price was high). However, only a 1 night stop so made the mistake of the bar views & restaurant.

Looked great from the street.. staff were incredible!! Location was good
The room was poky and small.. smelt stale.. had to change because aircon was dripping outside window.. room was at the back of 2 rooms with a poky window . Very limited and UNluxurious.. not even a bath mat or face cloths.. felt mean and lean.. not what I’ve been used to in Peppers Resorts in Australia

Proximity
We had a standard double or twin room. The smallest room we stayed in on our 6 week trip around the South Island - and the most expensive! There wasnt enough room to place our 2 suitcases in the room. We resorted to removing a bedside cabinet and putting it under the bathroom sink so 1 of the suitcases could be put beside the bed. No bodywash in the shower. Unfortunately only discovered when we were in the shower. Heater didnt work in the bathroom. Spoke to Ryan on the front desk, who advised he would contact the Manager for me to speak to. Despite me sending emails I am still waiting for a response!! Very poor. They only care about your $$'s here and nothing else.

Large bedroom and bathroom. Clean and comfortable.
Very poor and expensive dining options. No vegetarian menu. Awful breakfast

The room was good and comfortable and we had a good relaxing time
The room was very austere with very few creature comforts, very little on the walls such as artwork, no cushions just funny little stuff that would make the place feel more homely.
The phone to call reception didnt work, neither did the washing machine

Love the location! It was opposite the townhall with lots of restaurants.
We love the beds too!
Could have provided more laundry detergent and washing detergent.

We requested an upgrade as our original room did not have a view of the lake..staff were excellent and arranged an upgrade at a small cost.

What's not to like, we loved it!! We had a 1 bedroom apartment, with all the mod cons of home. Walking distance to the lake and shops

Beautiful view. Great location.
For four hundred dollars a night, I did expect more for my money. The room had a very distinct smell of mothballs. We previously stayed at a lovely hotel in Dunedin for $220 a night which was a Deluxe Studio and was more luxurious and offered more amenities than the Deluxe Double room at Peppers. I know we are paying for the view which was beautiful, but not for another $200.

The dinner as too simple

Generally very good, location and facilities. Room was very good.
One annoying issue, is that there is on ice or ice tray in the otherwise well equipped kitchen. So I trotted down to the bar to get ice . The barman almost reluctantly offered a glass and advised we would be charged if it was not returned. This is certainly a “first “ in many hundreds of hotels I have stayed in.
So I hot footed it back with glass in hand when I met another guest exiting the bar with a glass of ice. We exchanged several comments about this with exactly the same reactions.
Note to Peppers management- change this ridiculous policy either by putting an ice tray in the room or offer ice in a small ice bucket - as inexpensive motels do!!!
