Friendly,happy staff,stunning location overlooking Kantiang Bay, beautiful gardens, nice small pool, comfortable bed, large room with great views. Area had a lot of character and local life. Good beachy vibe in the evening. Plenty of small bars and restaurants with amazing food within a few minutes walk.Watching monkeys playing on the beach from balcony. Great to awake to stunning views, sounds of birdsong and the sea from our bed.

Our room was in need of complete refurbishment, flaky paint, grubby corners, bathroom old and well used. Broken blinds at dirty windows, badly fitting doors. We had 2 balconies, one small one which was usable and one large one that was unattractive and dirty with nasty red stains splattered in the wall and floor. The beach and room towels were stained, frayed and threadbare. Need to be replaced immediately. Breakfast choices limited, hot food sometimes cold because burners weren’t alight. Fruit often uncovered. Not enough sunbeds with shade. This hotel could be so much better, management need to take note, we are so disappointed to have to point out these bad issues, and we did when we were there, and the staff were so kind and wanted to make amends so we accepted free massages which were fabulous. It is not a 4 star hotel and if guests arrive with expectations of 4 star quality they will be disappointed. We came straight from a 3 star hotel which didn’t have the advantages of the stunning location, but was far superior in most other ways. Despite all of this we enjoyed our stay at Kantiang and had an amazing holiday. We believe some of the rooms may been refurbished, if you are lucky enough to get one of these, and management make a few changes as above, we would wholeheartedly recommend this property.

The rooms are really spacious and ours had a wonderful terrace/balcony. Bathroom was huge. The morning rooftop yoga classes were excellent and a great start to the day. Lovely, very helpful staff.

Breakfasts could possibly have had a little more variety, but were still pretty good.

Great location and interesting design of rooms with ours facing right on to lovely beach. Room spacious and more like a suite with separate areas. Hammock, day bed and recliner in our own terrace area. Good air conditioning.

First few days marred by construction going on immediately above and around our room with horrific noise. When we complained it became clear reception staff did not understand English. Several days later a manager arrived who apologised and gave us a free dinner. Room had a ‘TV guide’ card listing several English stations, including a film network. None were actually available, although satellite tv and DVD player are supposed to be available. When we asked about this the solution was simply to take the card away! There are kayaks in front if the hotel but it was only after asking another guest that we found out these were free for guests’ use. Had to buy own mosquito coils for room. No information on facilities and local attraction etc provided.

The beach and views were amazing along with a nice chilled vibe. The grounds and pool are in a perfect setting but just rather tired for example rusty nails sticking out of the pool pebbled area. Staff very nice but literally no-one spoke much English so when asking about bike hire or boat trips we were just told to go up the road and handed some leaflets. Would we go back, yes but is there room for improvement huge yes as well. THE MOST COMFORTABLE BED EVER !! We would go back just for that 😂 xx

the beach location was super

when we arrived they gave us the noisiest room no 10 next to noisy bar next door and the room smelt unpleasent although they moved us next day they could have put us there in first place

The staff were friendly and helpful, easy access to the beach, rooms are spacious, just a stone’s throw from the main street in the area (with 7-eleven, ATMs, laundry shop, eateries..). The pool is cleaned every morning.

Lizards - they’re my kryptonite. Usually found on the exterior walls, above doorway of the room, but some did get into the room (by accident?).

the first room 205 for the first 3 days had a leaky toilet hose that housekeeping just put a towel over the puddle so it smells. the bathroom was full of mosquitoes we killed dozens, the toilet seat was broken and there's a Sewage smell. the second room 203 has a loose shower holder and broken toilet lid. the morning buffet fruits cover has holes in them so the fruit flies infested inside the covers on top of the fruits. suggest changing covers

Love the cosy spacious room facing the beach. Hotel food is good, staff is friendly, nice small pool & quiet beach.

Absolutely fantastic rooms. The beach is spectacular and the staff, the food and the drinks were exceptional at the Why Not bar which is right on the beach.

The swimming pool is quite small but nice. Breakfast was nothing exciting.

The staff is extremely nice, caring and helpful.

The premises are a little bit outdated and would need some repairs.

Top service and everything was so fine, love this place. Only issue wich can be better is the vararity of food by breakfast, But I got a very very good bargain, so no complains from me

The place need a little maintaine

Staff were lovely, breakfast was good and the beach was amazing. The Why Not bar next door is a must.

The bed was too hard and swimming pool needed cleaning more often as it was always full of dead insects. We were there for 6 nights and the room was cleaned just one time, that was only because we reminded them that it had not been done. We kept the door shut to stop mosquitos coming in but there was a gap in the door that allowed a range of creepy crawlies in including a 5 inch black jungle scorpion!

Beach location.

Very dated. The marketing information and photos give false impression - everything needs refurbishment and updating. Roughly decorated inside the rooms. Shower very dirty. Sink broken. Bar doesn’t exist. Restaurant food very basic.

The room had really nice decor with the bed facing the beach, hammock on the terrace and thick walls that kept reasonable temperature at night even w/o AC on. Kayaks to rent for free. The area is serene and peaceful, but there are a few restaurants and bars around.

Low water pressure in the bathroom taps/shower/bath. The pool wasn't very clean with lots of dead insects. At times there was a bit of an unpleasant smell in the room.

Enormous beach-side room with lots of character, sound of lapping waves to send you to sleep, beautiful tropical gardens, dining on the sand, best beach on Koh Lanta, great restaurant, lovely staff, amazing value.

The hammock in the balcony was the beat things. it’s located right in the beach with amazing views. It’s very green and lushly.

there was no running water nor hot water

It was located right on the beach. Safe for swimming for children. Kayaks were also available free of charge. Bar and restaurant right next door on the beach. Great Indian restaurant nearby. Rooms were big. We had two rooms - 3 adults and 2 children.

A little far from the main part of the island. But easy to rent scooters nearby.

Many small things: toilet - leaking and big flusher didn't work, sink - leaking, shower - did not drain properly, blind - didn't work properly. One major thing - BBQ dinner on the beach was promoted but our order was not taken for over an hour and food didn't come for over an hour after that. We couldn't get a clear answer as to what the issue was. I complained on more than one occasion during this process. When we signed for the bill they made the spring rolls complimentary. It was such a small gesture that it was laughable.

Location, free kayaks, restaurants around.

Run-down resort due to lack of maintenance and other priorities. We experienced firsthand how the boiler in the bathroom exploded, leading to a night without hot water. On top of that the balcony's wooden parts of the balustrade collapsed under the leaning weight of my son (he is 2,5 years old). Danger! Compensation consisted of a massage and a change to another room, which was located directly next to the local beach party hut with noise until midnight. Great with a little child... For a supposedly 4-star accommodation one expects a more decent and considerate service. Price/quality certainly does not meet expectations. Beware!
