Room was clean, food was good but expensive, most of the staff were as you would expect at a Hilton,

Paying for not a cheap room then paying £40 to go for a swim for two hours, which is extortionate, during the swim we were exposed to an individual who decided to use his phone for 46 mins in the jacuzzi which made my wife and other females feel uneasy and needing to move away fearing being filmed ,when this was raised with staff they said that he was only looking at the internet and it's not Hilton's policy to stop people using their phones around the pool area, clearly the risk of offending a lone individual by asking him to stop using his phone trumps the risk of women being potentially placed at risk,after 45 mins we left the pool area feeling extremely uncomfortable ,still Hilton had it's £40 so apparently that's ok, we have used the same hotel on numerous occasions but no more" even in the bar area it's apparently ok to sit in your robes from the pool' ,standards are slipping as any dress code doesn't appear to apply,

The king size room was 2 single beds which were in serious need of an update as the bed was all scruffy and all the leather tearing away. Furniture outdated and materials coming away. For the price much better value and cleaner to stay in a premier inn. Mould/dirt on the curtain vail they can’t even replace or update that for guests. This room was £166. Lesson learnt.

Stop off on way to south of England. Nice hotel, friendly staff, cannot comment on food but welcome cookie was delicious. Beds were a bit hard but that's personal preference.

The reception area is lovely as well as the outdoor areas! Breakfast was great plenty to choose from and filled back up quickly. Bar area was also nice. Plenty of car spaces to park. Staff were friendly on reception. Staff at Breakfast work hard to keep area clean and also restocked.

Room was dated. Carpet had a large rip in the middle of the room. Bed was rock hard. Big gap under the door. Lots of noise from doors slamming. When other rooms used shower/water could hear water running through pipes constantly. Could hear flush from toilet from other rooms- above and next door! Very noisy room!

Staff were very professional and quick to try and fix issues. Bed was very comfortable. Rooms clean. Plenty of parking.

Breakfast was like warm. Hotel refunded the cost. Room service pizza wasn’t very nice. Could have done with feather pillows.

Having to pay extra for use of the Spa facilities is unnecessary.

Everything was just perfect. From arriving to leaving. The room was really nice, the bed was really comfortable, had two really good nights sleeps. Breakfasts were very good, also food in the restaurant. we will definitely be back.

The weather !!! But the hotel was great.

Not very clean bath had hairs and the bath needed cleaning before I could get a bath which is unacceptable. Found some of the staff rude as well as being told the room service was 24 hour we was then informed when we came to order room service there was maintenance work happing in the kitchen and there it was not possible to order room service.

The rooms were threadbare with worn carpets, holes in the headboard . The shower head had wholes around it where the refurbishing messed up on rehanging the shower. It had seen better days. Our daughter’s room smelt of damp clothes. A bit of airing did the trick. House keeping started early on Saturday morning with no regard for those still sleeping. We had a linen bin placed right outside our bedroom door blocking the entrance.

Everything. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Although the breakfast has plenty of choice, the cooked option was a real letdown. Everything was dried out. The bed in the room was absolute comfort, slept very well. I would like to mention that Susie at breakfast time was charming and nothing was too much trouble. A big smile and a caring character. Thanks for a lovely stay. Nigel and Dee Richardson

A slightly thicker duvet but I realise personal preferences . Ot provision of another duvet giving you the option to make it thicker

Staff were really nice

The room was only thing that was ok . Spa facilities and staff at spa very rude and got told there was treatments available then another staff member said no treatments , so we went up to the spa treatments area one of the therapists was on reception covering for someone and all treatment rooms rmpty no staff around but 1 on reception . We are group of 6 paid £20 for spa for 3 hours there was no loungers round pool all taken then go to meditation room that was full this has happened 3 times we stayed now no spa access no treatments took pictures of it all also as we got 3 rooms and planned a stay use spa an stay night 3 of are guest went home due to the disappointment definitely wouldn’t rate the hotel to anyone in future

Lovely hotel. Nice room, comfy bed, gorgeous grounds - I bet it's great in summer. Really enjoyed the spa day and very impressed with the delicious vegan afternoon tea.

Reception lady on check in a bit frosty. Drinks at the bar very expensive.

Nice property and large rooms

Bed uncomfortable considering it’s a Hilton, and very thin duvet so was quite cold. Didn’t want to sleep with heating on all night.

Lovely helpful friendly staff. (Especially reception staff and Susie at breakfast) Convenient location as we travelled. Very efficient check in and no fuss when we asked to stay an extra night. Very quiet in our room with all facilities we needed.

Quality of cooked breakfast was not amazing although we enjoyed our omelettes as they were freshly cooked. Hot water from the machine was grim for making tea.

Good location - just off motorway and close to Chester

Toilet wasn’t clean , which I cleaned - receptionist said I should have asked them to clean , missing the point that i cleaned it as I wanted to use it !! When we checked in we were told that we could book a table in the restaurant by approaching the restaurant direct ; when we spoke to who I think was the manager at the restaurant we were told that they were full and a table wouldn’t be available until 8.45 pm ……we then said we would take room service and order and pay and the manager said there would be a room service charge of £5 ! - we challenged him on this and he changed his mind and deleted the £5 charge ! ……..what dreadful service . Our overnight stay with ( poor ) room service food cost us just under £240 ( no alcohol consumed ) , not cheap but the poor and apathetic service was very disappointing. This is not what we expect from The Hilton .
