It was okay. Plenty of room for us. The layout of the rental was fine. They are in the process of updating parts of the home. The appliances are nice and the kitchen table is great. But the den furniture is dated and uncomfortable. The sliding glass door on the main floor needs replacing. The window next to it has a broken seal and extremely hazy due to moisture intrusion.They are currently rebuilding the deck and that is going to be very nice when they finish that. The bathrooms are disappointing. They are ancient and dirty from years of use. This is not the fault of your cleaning staff. The shower heads in the master bath and downstairs barely work due to mold and corrosion.. That is such an easy fix I can’t believe no one has addressed that issue. Also, the front of the home is filthy. It has mold, mildew and dirt across the entire front of the house which starts your stay off with a very unfavorable initial impression. I’m not overstating my comments here. If I was in your business I would want to know the truth.. The bottom line is I would not rent this unit again even it was at a substantially reduced rate.

On the south side of the island which is less crowded. A bit dated but it is the best bargain for location. Our family has grown and we have to stay at a larger spot. We will miss the Rhiew!Let us know when the upper and lower are available and we will return!

We had multiple smallish problems but it adds up: 1) worst, the kitchen and living room were not very clean, sticky floors. I killed one cockroach.
2) the entry code didn't work. you were quick and responsive but after a 6hr drive, you don't want to wait 15 min in the heat
3) internet code was not written any where in the house, we had to wait for the next day to get it.
4) the boardwalk to the beach had nails sticking out
5) the beach umbrella provided in the house was broken.
6) you can provide better/more comfortable outdoor furniture in the patio.

*Roaches and ants were plentiful; we used Raid multiple times
*TV in master bedroom had cable issues and was not completely repaired until Friday night and we left on Saturday.
*The oven did not work and was replaced on Thursday of the week we were ther.

It's on the quieter side of the Oceanic Pier with a fun walk to the south end. Plentiful shells, clear water of nature and spacious rooms to accommodate along with a clean and well maintained property are a formula for a great stay.

However this year was a bit of a disappointment. The property was not clean-hair in the bathroom and bathroom throw rugs were dirty. Just over all was not has we had found it in the past. Also for the amount one has to pay for linens, the beds should have been made. They always have been in the past! I realize that sometimes there is a fast turnover on a houseboat just hire enough help to have it done right.

Although it is far from the village it's right beside the Oceanic restaurant and pier and Southside Surf shop. And it's right on the beach. We had a great time.

THis property was perfect location for us and a great beach path, Both decks were used to the fullest and would certainly return to this location. The only complaint is small supply of soap and toilet paper!

This was our first visit to Wrightsville Beach and I must say we loved the beach and the community we found everyone to be so friendly and kind. However we were very disappointed with this unit it was extremely dirty, it needs paint ,carpet and a total kitchen remodel. The utensils we tried to use in the kitchen had dried food on them, the furniture in the family room kitchen area all very worn. The beds were all very comfortable. The second night we were there the electric in the master bedroom went out and I called the rental office to report. They had an electrician there at 7:30 on a Sunday night and had it promptly fixed. When I called to report outage I complained to management the unit was very dirty and they did offer to sent a cleaning person back but I told they would need more then one person. The property management did their best to accommodate us, but this unit is in need of a total over haul.

Reviewer Comments: We were a group of 4 adults who wanted a peaceful but fun beach break. We appreciated the duplex with 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms so we could all have privacy. The property was beautifully landscaped. It was an older building but well kept and well stocked with the basics. We liked the location and the views of the beach. The beach was very walkable and we daily visited the Crystal Pier just north of the property and the bird sanctuary an the end of the island. We enjoyed watching the surfers both the good ones and the ones still trying to figure it out. We enjoyed some of the waves as well. It was easy to get to restaurants and to Wilmington. We particularly liked Causeway Café for breakfast and Sweet & Savory for dinner. Tower 7 was better for take out than for eat in. Our universal favorite was frozen custard at Kohl's--pick up the monthly list of daily special flavors. We made multiple trips. It is easy to get to Wilmington and spend part of day wandering through shops and finding a nice restaurant. One thing to keep in mind in both Wilmington and Wrightsville, is that parking is at a premium and you need to pay during the day. Overall, a great vacation.

The dishwasher and kitchen sink need to be updated, but were still functional. The laundry room was top notch. Beach access was excellent. The carport parking keeps your vehicle out of the sun and elements. Very nice location with easy access to local dining, shopping and other activities. We would definitely consider renting this unit again.

We rented this unit for a family vacation. On arrival, it was clean and in good order. The unit was more spacious than I had anticipated with most of the creature comforts of home that Make a stay nice. The two decks were very nice. We would have used the upper deck more if it had been a covered deck, but it was fine in the evenings once the sun was not beating down directly on top of you, especially if the breeze was blowing. The upper deck did offer a very nice vantage point to view the beach and ocean. My only issues with the rental (and they are pretty minor in nature) is that the dishwasher and the kitchen sink have both definitely seen better days and need to be replaced. The rest of the appliances seem to be in good order. It was nice to have a full size washer and dryer to keep up with laundry. It was very easy to toss a load in before heading out, tossing it in the dryer upon returning and folding it before bed. I really loathe doing laundry after returning from vacation. Having the full size washer and dryer made it a breeze to get things done and return home with clean laundry. Not to mention it is really nice to wash your swim wear and beach towels every couple of days. The location of this rental is very convenient. You are slightly off "the beaten path" while remaining conveniently close to a lot of resteraunts, shopping and attractions. In addition to that, there is a carport style parking place directly under the unit. That allows you to stay out of the sun and keeps you car much cooler than parking out in the open. There is more than adequate outdoor lighting in the front and the back, so you have no need to stumble around in the dark. All in all, this is a very nice rental that feels more like a home away from home. I would definitely reccomend this unit to others.

Reviewer Comments: We loved the location of this property, and the spacious floor plan; however, we wouldn't rent it again due to its outdated condition and needed repairs. There was an apparent drainage problem when it rained heavily at one point, and water was pouring inside from the ceiling in the sliding door area. This appeared to be an existing problem that seemed to cause the sliding glass door in the main area to be very difficult to slide open. Consequently, the door handle had evidently broken off previously and was bolted back on and very loose. We were in town for a wedding and stayed at this property due to the location. We had friends and family staying at nearby properties that were much nicer for the same or lower rental rates. At one point we had no water so I called Bryant and was told that there was a scheduled drain washout so there would be no water for several hours -- we were relieved that this didn't turn out to be a major issue, but not sure why we weren't made aware of this at check-in. Finally, when we were preparing to checkout and loading our car, the cleaning person arrived about 30 minutes before scheduled checkout and rang the doorbell (not certain why, since we were in an out loading the car) and then waited outside for us to leave. Checkout was at 10am, and we felt rushed to leave earlier. In the present condition and price, I wouldn't recommend this property.
