This is a great hotel. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. It's close to major tourist attractions such as The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Great Palace and Wat Pho. The tourist boat stops just outside the hotel. It was really lovely to come back to the hotel in the afternoon for a swim. There is a fantastic coffee shop next to the hotel which is part of the hotel, Petit Soleil. The service from the staff was fantastic.

Spacious room with beautiful river views. Good location in relation to the highlights. Near Khao San road and a few steps away from Phra Arthit Pier.
Bedding felt slightly damp and so did your clothes if you kept them outside the suitcase. The bathroom is very small in relation to the room. You really have to put up the "please clean room" card or your room won't be cleaned. If you use the laundry service, you will receive each item individually wrapped in plastic. Not very sustainable and also remarkable because they have a large sign at the elevator to promote the stairs in terms of energy savings

This was our second visit . It was a nice surprise to be welcomed with a bottle of wine and a bowl of fruit in our room .
We had a river view room with balcony . It was lovely to be able to sit on the balcony and watch the activity on the river . Of course it’s noisy as the river is very busy on the balcony but the room with the doors closed is very quiet . The staff are very sweet and helpful .

L'emplacement près d'un quartier touristique animé. Cuisine et bar excellents.
Le personnel de l'accueil n'était pas à la hauteur (sauf l'excellent directeur), contrairement à mes séjours précédents.
Elles ne connaissaient même pas Bangkok !

J’ai vraiment apprécié la beauté des lieux, le service aux petits soins. De se sentir à l’écart de la ville au bord du Chao Phraya tout en étant près de tout. Le resto et sa nourriture délicieuse. Notre chambre parfaite même si nous étions du côté ville, c’était silencieux. Pour se déplacer en ville, on peut prendre les express du chao phraya, le quai est à environ 200 mètres de l’hôtel avec passerelle sur le fleuve pour s’y rendre et ensuite prendre le MRT.

Right on the river, wonderful rooms, excellent staff, breakfast options are amazing. All egg styles are cooked to order and the price for all you can breakfast eat cannot be beaten.

Lovely, large clean room with nice size balcony. The hotel car driver to the airport is a very nice man. Food in the restaurant is ver good. Great location

This is now our 4th stay at the Riva Surya, it has maintained a consistent high level of service and cleanliness and is in a great location. Now with the new hop on hop off river boats the location is even more exciting.
The power was shut off for a full day during our stay, we were only informed of this after completing registration and checkin. With the Bangkok heat this basically meant the hotel was off limits and unusable for a day, they did say we could use the pool but with no power expect no filtration so not on.

We had a room with a balcony overlooking the river. The rooms were a really good size. It was so nice relaxing on balcony in the evening with the view of the river and the lights at night. The pool was lovely and we were always able to find a somewhere to sit. All the staff were wonderful and so welcoming. We would definitely stay here again.

What can i say.. 2 nights stay wasnt long enough. Everything was perfect! Staff couldn't do more to help you to make you feel at home. Room is amazing. Swimming at the end of the hot day is a perfect end to the day.

Overall it is a nice hotel with helpful staff, clean and nice facilities. Staff are always super helpful, food is nice at the restaurant.
I have stayed a few times. I do not like how dark it is in the rooms with limited natural light.

Breakfast was good, though not cheap for the location. Balcony was nice, room was comfortable. AC worked well

It was very beautiful stay! The staff was super friendly, it‘s beautifully located next to the river nice to relax at the pool! shops and restaurants are close by and also kaoh sanroad is also close!

the facilities are inadequate, pool is too small, no air conditioning in the reception area, only one restaurant which can be booked by a function and the coffee house is closed for no reason.

The location is perfect! right near Khaosan road and by the river so there is a great view but more importantly it enabled us to use boats as our travel method around the city which was super convenient and enabled us to skip the heavy traffic of Bangkok.
our room was also great- spacious and clean. great acoustics - the room was very quite and had a very comfy bed!

Probably one of the nicest places you can stay so near Koa San Road and on the river. The food at the restaurant was very good.

Friendly staff, very clean rooms, very nice breakfast. Pool is comfortable and towels are provided. Nice little poolside food service. Location is excellent. Quick walk to stores, restaurants, ATMs/Banks and tourist attractions. Hotel arranged an excellent half-day tour of the palace and temples, which I highly recommend.
Wake up call never happened, but I've 2 alarms on my phone so that was not a big deal.

Clean and comfortable room with a balcony. Nice pool and bar area overlooking the river. Friendly staff, good food and easy walking distance to Khaosan road and lots of restaurants and bars.
nothing. the front room was a little noisy but you’re in a city so only be expected. The hotel provides ear plugs and so didn’t cause a problem at all. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything! The staff, the room (although a little jaded) and the biggest hit was the location - not only because of the river view which is fab but also being so close to lots of fun restaurants and bars (backpacker area). I would definitely return. Highly recomend.

It is my favorite place to stay in Bangkok, ticks all the boxes: great location, beautiful terrace by the Chao Praya river with good size pool and nice sun/shade beds, nicely decorated rooms and professional and kind staff.

Although breakfast is till 10:30, when plates are empty at 9:45… there was no refill… sad situation for this kind of luxury hotel and the price of the breakfast!
Breakfast personnel was only half as friendly as Lobby personnel or cleaning personnel whom were all super friendly and helpful
A little bit of a pity that the swimming pool is cramped between the river, the lobby and the restaurant. Otherwise nice.
Although it is a luxury hotel, for Bangkok the price is really too expensive compared to other good hotels!
