Hotel España was clean, comfortable and very well located just outside the old town of Lugo. the view of the Roman walls was outstanding. the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the value was terrific.

Next to Roman wall so close to all facilities. Bed & room very comfortable & quiet. Clean and tidy hotel, excellent value. Only 5 mins walk from bus station.
TV too small. Hitel is much better than 1* rating but I guess having no lift makes a difference to this?

Staff were very helpful and kind and location is great . Close to the bus station and lovely view of the Roman wall and the cathedral tower of Lugo.
Traffic noise could be a problem. If windows are close it is fine .

The location was just outside the wall of the city. The price was very reasonable and the receptionist was extremely helpful.

Excellent accommodations right on the Camino Primitivo. Convenient location near the city center and bus stop with shops and restaurants nearby. Comfortable, clean room with a desk. Clean bathroom. Comfortable bed.
The bathroom is a small, but works for a solo traveller, such as myself. There is no restaurant on-site but the place is close to shops and restaurants in the city center.

The view of the Roman walls from my room were spectacular. The location is perfect.

Excellent location
The mattress was so hard I couldn’t sleep properly. The hotel is very, very old and could really do with a renovation. There’s no elevator so your poor legs (after walking the a camino De Santiago) aren’t happy. The walls are paper thin and we could hear people doing “private things” as well as people entering and leaving their rooms late at night etc. We barely slept.
