The visit to museum and wine testing was great!
The room was a bit small. Breakfast could be more elaborated.

Absolutely fantastic stay. Very central for exploring rioja by car and the room was perfect.fpr us as a couple. The tour was a lovely added touch. Thank you! We will be back.
Can't complain about anything.

Staff were very welcoming and the tour led by Jennifer was informative and fun! A view of a roundabout would not be everyone's choice...however we loved seeing the vineyard tractors go about their business. Just felt that La Rioja is a very special area! A good walk up to the hermitage was well worth it too.
The stairs are vertiginous as it is an old building there is no alternative.
More choices of restaurants in Elciego would have been preferable, as we did not want to take the car at night. Restaurante La Florida was good enough, and good service. Laguardia probably has more choice of dining options and is worth a visit too.

complementary wine tour and tasting was exceptional! learned a lot about wine and the history of their winery. staff was friendly, enjoyed the stay overall. also a balcony in the room was nice
the room was a bit tight (narrow and long)

large comfortable room. communal kitchen with fridge, freezer, cutlery, plates, cleaning equipment, dishwasher, wine glasses, all the essentials.. a microwave and
2 ring hob. very friendly staff. we arrived late and they arranged access and our keys. lovely village with enough bars and restaurants. i was put off by a comment on the church bells, they were muffled and did not effect my sleep. Enjoyed the wine tour too. Very good value. Bed very good also
and shower. We bought a bottle of white from the small wine bar la cueva to take away. easy parking across the road

Our room and bed was very comfortable and clean. There is a common room provided with a refrigerator, micro, cooker, and dishes if needed. It was a very nice option to use...and we did!. We had a nice view of the church. The tour of Valdelana with Victor was very informative and fun! Because we were the only English speakers, Jen took us aside for a private tasting which was very nice. The museum in the caves was well done. The location was wonderful for all of our day trips. I had a dental emergency and one of the staff arranged for me to go to Logrono to see her dentist. The dentist was wonderful and I can hardly express enough gratitude for this kindness by the staff. It goes above and beyond, in my opinion. The young woman was empathetic to my situation and told me not to worry. She was incredible. All of the staff work very hard doing many things at the agriturismo.
Breakfast was nicely served. We were asked what kind of coffee we wanted and they delivered. Breakfast consisted of a large slice of toast, a croissant, bottle of orange juice, olive oil and tomato puree or jam and butter. It felt minimal but is likely typical for Spain. The hair dryer was quite slow and needs to be upgraded.

Great location in heart of Rioja region
Be aware that the village is small there are not many restaurants open out of season

We own a home just up the road from Valelana. We stayed during Christmas time while we worked on remodeling the house. The Bodega is only about 50 yards from our house so it was within walking distance. The staff were amazingly helpful and treated us like neighbors (which we are). They were all very friendly and many spoke very good English. The winery tour was eally fun and the wine was amazing. Room was very comfy with a great view of the cathedral. Parking was across the street but not far. They were closed on Xmas day so we had to check out, but we went right back after. Great experience.

The staff were amazing. Very attentive to our needs. Very welcoming and friendly, and several spoke very good English. We own a home just up the road which we are restoring. Happy to have them as neighbors.

Lovely quiet setting in the Rjoca region with the addition of a guided tour of the Vineyard and the wine cellar museum plus wine tasting, we had a great couple of days staying here.
A little better offering at breakfast would be good, although it only cost €5.50, would be happy to pay more.

Many thanks again to Juan Jesus Valdelana who kindly took us to the Jardin of the Variedades, a beautiful spot and with a great view of the Ebro. The tour through the museum and tasting is also very recommendable.

Loved this place—right in the lovey town of El Ciego. Check-in was easy, rooms were comfortable (if a bit on the small side). Staff was very friendly, and winery tour was included the following day.

We knew that a tour of the winery and vineyard was included, but the tour exceeded our expectations! We were provided with several tastings and snacks, as well as a trip to the beautiful vineyard!

From start to finish we were made to feel so welcome and part of the “family”! Our guide was amazing and had great chat - we had a laugh and learned lots about wine and the Basque country. Give that man a raise! Bought wine and food to take home. Loved it.
Some info from the hotel as to what places were open at that time of year for food would have been helpful as it’s an isolated location. We did find some there nearby but touch and go for a while!

Our first visit to Rioja and we couldn’t have been more warmly welcomed than at this beautiful location. The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. the wine was exceptional and the recommendation for dinner in the village, La Florida was great. The tour and tasting the following morning was perfect.
