nice room, good location

check in was a hassle. tried to contact someone on the number left for people checking,and someone rang back 2 hours later.

Rooms are neat and tidy. Bed and bedding was great.

Location was great. Nice and quiet.

Good budget accommodation, clean and comfortable. Value for money. I had an issue with water leaking from a kitchen pipe, plumber was organised to fix the next day. It was a good locality for what I needed to do.

Sheer curtains on the windows would have provided a sense of privacy when the drapes were open. I found I kept the blinds closed during my stay.

BE WARY OF THIS FACILITY. My partner and I stayed a full month at Malibu Apartments while looking for an apartment to rent in Perth. On the night of our arrival (which was also our first night in Australia), the facility's automated check-in system (a digital safe) malfunctioned. We spent one hour and a half trying to get in touch with the manager by calling the out of hours number (which is written right above the safe) without success. Another guest saw us struggling and tried to help us, by repeatedly calling the out of hours number and sending messages to the manager. Nobody answered the phone or the messages, and we were forced to relocate to a nearby hotel for that night. The manager refused any accountability for what happened, as he “sent me all the needed directions to access the room” via Booking.com after viewing the messages sent by the other guest. Directions that I had simply no way to receive and view, since internet connection is not offered at Malibu Apartments (we came all the way from Europe and did not have Australian phone numbers with mobile data yet, meaning that outside of airports we had no access to the internet). The manager never tried to call us or contact us in other ways, never answered the phone, and refused to refund us one night out of the 30+ we spent at his facility.

Location is perfect for travelling in the city centre of Perth. The room was pretty clean with towels provided. The parking is good with sufficient spots.

The wall is quite thin, so we heard people staying next to us pretty clearly. The fan of the toilet is also a bit too loud, which might have also affected others if we used the toilet at night.

No wifi

location is good. close to bus stop which takes visitors to city center very easily. The bus stop (Newcastle St After Strathcona St) is within free zone. It’s convenient to have a washing machine in the toilet.

old facilities especially kitchen gears are VERY VERY old. The TV connector is out of order. Manager was irresponsible. told me that my credit card failed just 1 hour before my check-in. He should have verified this earlier not during my flight. I learned this after my plane landed.
