It rained!

This site is right next door to an active building site! No peace and quiet at all. Please be honest and also warn potential ‘clients’ on Bookings.com about this horrible situation!! Hermanus is overloaded with wonderful stays. This, however, is grossly over priced. And the management seemed less than interested to assist in any regard. Horribly disappointing!

Safe parking, beautiful big well equipped apartment. 2 lovely en suite rooms - main bedroom haa a great sea view. Very well located. Gas fireplace in the living room and underfloor heating in the bathrooms. Lovely place.

No fault of the property, but terrible construction noise at the property next door.

Clean and close to town

The apartment is well kept and the location is great! You are very near to the walkways, shops and great restaurants.

The reason why I gave this unit such a low score is due to the very frustrating construction next door: the noise, the dirt and the lack of privacy in the 2nd bedroom - my windows and curtains were close all the time! I couldn't use my bathroom as the construction workers could look through my bathroom window which was not covered (I did request this from reception but with no success!) They are busy Mondays to Saturdays, so prepare yourselves!

It was perfect warm and comfortable!

there was construction right next to our apartment and we were not advised that they were going to be working, knocking and drilling the entire weekend. we weren’t able to sleep at all or rest and had no privacy. it was a horrible weekend.

the construction that was happening next door wasn’t great and this should’ve been advertised prior to booking. Construction happening 10 hours a day isn’t great if you want to relax and if you’re not out.

These units are great, we've stayed here before. Brilliant location and good facilities. But...

There is major construction happening right next door from 7am in the morning until 6pm at night (incl. Saturdays) and we were not told about this by booking.com at the time of booking, especially given that our booking was non-cancellable. According to the Harbour House Hotel, booking.com was made aware of this and should have informed us but they failed to do so. Thus far they (booking.com) have not been very useful in dealing with the matter. I would strongly advise against visiting this establishment until construction is complete. By the way, the unit we stayed in has no curtains in the living room on the construction side so we had construction workers looking straight into our living room all day. Same with the second bedroom's en-suite bathroom.
