Tried a lot of hotels in Accra and I prefer boutique hotel like this. The environment is serene at a nice part of Osu

I tired this place, because I got a good deal. However, I was not happy about mold in the bathroom shower and that I could not open the windows because they had no mosquito nets installed. For a place of this category a disappointment. Considering that they would usually charge around USD150, you will find a much better value for money in other Hotels in Accra

Very charming house and garden, with spacious rooms and perfect location in Osu.

Some parts need some fixing, it is a bit old, which also gives it its charm.

So this hotel has a great and amazing location and the rooms are really large. I also want to give special recognition to Ben at the reception who honestly did his very best accomodate requests. The seating area outside is also nice but could be better mantained.

Unfortunately, the hotel decor is terribly outdated - at least in my room. It is as though there has been no investment in the hotel since it was built which is a shame as the concept is nice. There was rust in the shower, the shower had no tiles, a musky smell in the room in general with little flies, cracks on the wall and really old furniture. Even with cleaning, the place looks pretty old - the owner needs to reinvest to make it nice - so it is at least up to scratch with other properties in the area.

The compound of the hotel was amazing. We really enjoyed the pool and the ambience. The rooms were spacious and the hotel had a good location close to several restaurants and the beach was only a few minutes by car away.

The initial style of the hotel is modern but rustic. But the beautiful dark wooden furniture is now being replaced by white Ikea closets. Generally there are a some spots in the room that need updating. The towels for the pool were not offered, which meant that we only found out about them after a few days using our room towels. We still had to ask for them daily as nobody offered them. The breakfast system should be better developed. Every morning we were woken up by knocking to be asked when and what we wanted for breakfast. This could be done the night before or by note. Unfortunately, there is no breakfast area either. On one day there was no milk left, which was then brought in an hour later. The drinks in the room were not regularly replenished either. The wifi didn't work from the beginning, no matter which of the many different ones we were logged into, so we got a small router the next day. Apart from one of the staff, hardly anyone smiled. Especially the night access was silent because the gate was locked and the security man, only after a long wait and shouting unfriendly opened the gate. The rooms have no room numbers, so it often happened that people mixed up rooms. The door to the staircase was right next to our room, which was not only noisy, but also constantly confused with our door. All in all, it is a nice hotel that could improve the overall experience a lot with small changes.

The location, the decor, the pool, the room were all great.

No internet in the room but we were finally provided, thanks to Ben, with mobile wifi which saved the day.

I would recommend to improve the breakfast cause it’s basic second, a small bar around the swimming pool would be appreciated

Olma Suites staff are professional and polite. The facilities are clean and well maintained.

This is my 2nd stay at this property so i must’ve liked it enough to come back. The best things about this property are the staff and location. All the staff were great but a special mention for Derick who went out of his way to assist me with even topping up my phone when my data ran out. The location is absolutely perfect. You’re in the heart of Osu and within walking distance of lots of restaurants, bars, clubs and coffee shops. It’s easy to get around and Oxford Street is also minutes away.

The property itself and the surroundings (flowers and trees are truly beautiful) and very tranquil. What fell short for me and this was my experience from my previous stay is the lack of maintenance of the interiors. I have included some images. It’s such a shame for a great property not to pay attention to the small details because those make a good property amazing. The table in the living room had seen better days. A shower head which was leaky and ended up wetting the bathroom and took a day to be replaced. The welcome information booklet with the binding falling apart. This is a colonial style property but the interior lack the charm you’d expect and instead the rooms look tired and dated. This all adds up in making a place like this ok not great

I normally like to come to Olma colonial suites, but below explain different. size of rooms are awesome, if the actually had working AC and better style furnitures

I was coming by flight same day from Tdi, and there was issue, as they needed my payment card, to effect stay for 4 days in order to let my sec. open the room and check. There was to much red tape upon arrival, and arrival check in took 30 min, and again no internet password unless I go down to reception again, found out staff didnt know me, despite being a guest there since 2015, the Pool was green with algaes at arrival, the pool is rather small, and I love to take a chilled dip at night, but this time again, not possible, The aircon blew hot air 28 degress all night despite telling staff, changed room next day, but this could only be for 1 night, then decided to cancel other 2 days stay, and found something half price in OSU area. 2 bedroom apartment with large pool crystal clean water. Olma is now changing their beautiful old style furnitures to Ikea small low priced modern furnitures in plast, steel and plywood, mixed with some older style furns, no actually good to look at at fragile furns. Price for stay is also above other stays in area, rooms are large though, but being uncomfortable, there is just too much bed sheets and pillow, maybe good for some, but kind a work to go to bed. Bathrooms should get an upgrade. staff should at least remember to turn on waterheater, as it not allwho figure out where the switch is. and the use of mens room cisterne toilet pissoir balls makes it really smelling bad, like a public toilet, so when there, 1st thing is to locate the cistern balls and flush them out. Changing room after arrival is also not a positive thing to do. Breakfast is just boring, and would never come with ketchup. and they knock on your door at 8 am

Very responsive and helpful staff. The location is beautiful and peaceful.

Everything else. I would seriously caution anyone from staying here given the cost, the terrible condition / maintenance and the attitude of the staff and manager if you have any issues. It looks incredibly fancy but it's entirely without substance and I'm shocked it's listed on here. Of the many issues and three weeks it has taken to resolve our complaint, the following happened: 1) no WiFi when being shown into the property. Ok not an issue, they came back and provided us with another router (bit weird and as it turns out, the issue was because they hadn't put sufficient credit on the account); 2) the next morning, all power (AC, electricity and lights) broken. Someone came over to fix the AC at first but then we were left without anything for the vast majority of the day in 35 degree heat; 3) when we flag this to the hotel employee, we are just left hanging as they look into it. We are then given different excuses / lies as to what the problem was ranging from "power outage" (despite all other apartments being fine) to "well that's Ghana for you". When we explain that's not good enough and we need an alternative if this can't be fixed. The employee says his engineer has gone home but he's trying to speak with him about it. After an hour of flagging this and being bitten alive by mosquitos outside, we are told that we can't have the alternative apartment as "you are checking out tomorrow and we could rent it out to someone else". We are then shown to a different apartment that is not the equivalent in quality (it's not been cleaned, no balcony, half the appliances etc though the power was working...). We ask for compensation if having to stay in the inferior room - we are told no; and 4) we ask for a refund and say that we'll leave but it needs to happen asap because it's late and everything is expensive as we're in the centre of Accra.
