nice staff and good location… there were only few guests in the hostel, because the city not too touristy, but Taiping worth to visit…the hostel has a cozy vintage design…

Location near food and the sites within walking distance. Available fresh brewed kombucha and various craft beers Lyn the housekeeper is a wealth of information for places to eat and visit. 4th visit definitely!!

the location is closed to many attraction and eatery shop especially the taiping lake. the lodge is clean and well maintained. Tricia is very friendly and attentive to guest. I will back again !

First of all the place is so nice and clean, Tricia is a wonderful hostess, and the location is perfect, I enjoy my morning walk every day except for the rainy days, you can find so many different kind of food just right on the same street.

I love the quirky cafe/bar area and the vintage items around it. I love my room - comfortable, cute and cosy. I appreciate that the comforts of home are still available from getting an iron, hairdryer and a place to make tea/coffee and get water down at the bar. The bathrooms are so clean and love the warm showers. Most importantly, Ms Lin was the kindest host - from sorting payment to showing me around the hostel. She is such a wonderful and friendly lady! The location of the hotel is good - 5 minutes walk to the Lake Gardens. Plenty of food places along the way.

There was a bit of a musty smell near the bathroom at night but it was not from the bathroom. In the morning the smell was gone. It did not bother me as the smell did not get into my room.

Well, what should I say? Let me assess this accomodation based on my experiences of staying in lots of hostels and guesthouses in the past and also as a former backpacker hostel manager. No doubt, I really enjoyed my stay here. Congratulations, Sojourn Beds and Cafe, you have topped the table in the first position out of all the past hostels and guesthouses in my past trips! I love the stylish, heritage and meticulous interior design of this hostel and its vibe and atmosphere. Rooms are really clean and comfortable with essential facilities like plugs, hangers, lights and also a comfy mattress. I had a quality sleep here. The toilets are really clean and I enjoyed using them. Drinking water, coffee and tea are provided round the clock. The location of this hostel is perfect in the city center near to the lake and most of the attractions, and also only few steps away from many food eateries that open in the day and night. Most importantly here, the staff, not only they are exceptionally friendly and helpful, I can really feel their true genuineness in connecting and interacting with the guests, they are just so enjoyable to talk to. Thank you so much Lin, Trisha and Tang. Here in this hostel, I can easily know other friends too. Here in this hostel, I have nothing to complain, nothing to fault. Surely I will come back and stay again and recommend it to my friends! Vicente.

As it was situated at town centre, very convenient for foods and the necessary every needs to require at times. Walked around this beautiful town and sometimes chatted freely with friendly locals.

The whole place is very clean and well kept, homely feel.

Thr only downside is: As this is just right next tot he main road, you can hear the exhaust noise from motorcycles/cars at night clearly, could probably look into ways to minimise this,

It’s really convenient as the location is really strategic to many interesting places. You can just walk to Taiping Mall and other places also just nearby.

Since the location is in the middle of Taiping town, there will be lot of noise from the traffic and the dorm hostel is not that sound proof. If you dont mind with some noise then you should stay.

Clean and meet the standard needs for back packers.
