I liked everything, especially the breakfast.
In 2023 ,I think so the smart TV has to be basic equipment, unfortunately not here, I know It's in Germany,but there's no any English TV channel or streaming service or just smart connection to the TV.

The best place to overnight or even stay several days near Nuremberg. Superior quality of service, accommodation and breakfast. Most important is the staff, extremely kind and helpful and eager to assist even in problematic situations. Brigitte and Mike, DANKE!

The hotel is reasonable close to the highway and for that reason perfect for a one night sleepover. Near the hotel are several restaurants, we ate at an Italian restaurant. Breakfast was one of the best I have had in years in a hotel, but okay, you do pay 12 euro per person for the breakfast (which is included in the total price of the room). The room was nice, clean and the beds were okay, not much else you can ask for.
The hotel is literally part of a gas-station. We first drove past it, not realizing that we actually have to be at the gas-station to enter the hotel. The name of the hotel makes more sense to us now :) We had the three-person bedroom which turns out to be the room with the (only) window straight at the cars that come to the gas-station. With the window closed you only hear the noise of cars coming and going slightly in the background. However, if you want to sleep with an open window, prepare to hear the noise of cars getting gas all night long (of course, not that many during the night, but some do). If you expect to have a nice view outside your window, forget it :)

I can't say enough good things about this hotel and the family that runs it. The lady is an Oma through and through. She was spoiling my daughter every chance she got. They were adorable moments. This will be my first choice every time we need to stay in Nuremberg. Also, if you need a rise to the airport, let them schedule it for you. Even with my discount on booking the fare was less than half what it would have been if I booked it.

Very big room with an extra bed. Rooms on the ground floor and parking facilities right next to the door. The rooms are next to a gas station so easy to get some drinks or a snack.
The booking.com site said there was a charging facility. But this turned out to be a normal AC outlet.

Friendly receptionist, even got a welcoming drink after a really long day driving.
The room was superb, equipped with everything one can imagine, dark and silent during the night- really fantastic to sleep. Great bathroom! Extremely clean!
We were disappointed with the parking. Since we had to leave our car at the site of the tank- station, kept wondering whether someone won't bump against it occasionally..

The guy at the petrol station who is also responsible for the room was always helpful and friendly. Felt sorry for him as he was doing a lot and looked very tired.
The location is at a petrol station so expect noise and fuel fumes in the room. Terrible with a 2 year old who need quite for a good night sleep.

A friend an I stayed for 2 nights, while on a hiking trip. (Hiked during the day, slept in Heroldsberg.)
Tankbar's Hotelchen is located on the main road and is easy to find. The room was very clean, new and well equipped. Beds were made every morning and coffee and water were provided in the room. Although it is located at a gas-station, shutters made sure the room was very quiet at night (Some extremely loud cars came through, but that's the fault of overly loud cars, not the room isolation).
Breakfast was wonderful. The pictures on google maps display it exactly as it is, with fresh bread, croissants and orange juice. There was always plenty. The staff was very kind and uncomplicated (It's a family business) and the neighborhood was quiet.
Heroldsberg has several very nice Restaurants as well, all within 5-10 minutes on foot and the train-station is only a five minute walk away. Since it is a gas-station, any necessities can be bought on location.
All in all a very pleasant few days. If I ever go back to Nürnberg, I will be staying there again.

Super quiet room with super comfy beds. I liked the spacious, modern, cosy room. Very kind and helpful staff. There are just 3 rooms so very homey. Thanks a million for the possibility of late, contactless check-in! Given it's a petrol-station, we could immediately fill up the tank and continue our journey.
Staff could check requirements for breakfast first. Breakfast was ready made and excellent, but if you travel with kids, there is a big chance good food will go to waste.... and they are whining for egg, bacon and nutella :-D btw we asked for and got tasty eggs.

location is great, close to the highway. the place is very clean, staff is very kind.
the rooms are situated directly at the petrol station, but not easy to find: maybe a big logo or signage could help clients to find it.
the bed was too soft for my taste.

You don’t expect a fuel station motel to be run with a service like Hilton. Don’t be fooled by the outside appearance. As soon as you enter you notice impeccable cleanliness, Ritual toiletries, rich breakfast and abundance of towels. The staff is super helpful, above expectations.
