Breakfast was excellent. Also the restaurant in the evening had an excellent choice of dishes. The Sea Bass was exceptional.

Surprised that marmalade was not available at breakfast. There was some confusion about room-cleaning arrangement.

Ideale Lage für uns mitten im Grünen direkt an der Landstraße zwischen Longridge und Clitheroe. Sehr schönes, großes Zimmer mit hochwertigem Mobiliar und modernem Bad mit Regendusche. Sehr gemütlicher Pub.

Sehr weiche Betten, sehr hellhörig. Frühstück sehr lecker (English), aber teuer.

We liked everything. We were travelling back from the highlands home and stopped off in Lancashire to see family and have an overnight rest. The decor was lovely and the view from the window. It was just really chilled and cosy and we didn't even unpack or leave the bar or restaurant. The pub/hotel also had a nice outside area. We had dinner but did not have time to stay for breakfast. We wished we could have stayed another night. I felt the staff were a really good team as well. Nothing seemed too much trouble. It was so nice to be able to open the window if needed and there was a bath which you do not always get anymore.

Location was superb. Breakfast was very good but we did t get what we ordered such as smoked salmon with the eggs Benedict We got bacon instead but all deliciously prepared. Also I had asked for my poached eggs to be well done but they were runny!

We found the bathroom a little grubby around the basin floor where the cleaners hadn’t time to clean properly . Unfortunately we were close to the swinging door outside in the corridor so we were disturbed every time someone came through.

The garden and its views. Peroni on tap. Comfortable beds.

The food was overpriced and not very good. Breakfast is no longer included in the room rate, which it was when we stayed previously.
