Great, quiet location. Ocean view. Restaurants, bars, shops nearby. The apartment is almost new, well equipped.
You have to pay for parking during the day.

The room is well kept and clean. Owner is friendly and even welcome us with a small bottle of Madeira wine and some local cookies.
There is no free parking though is not that expensive for parking fees. There is no lift in the building and may not be so convenient if come with heavy luggages. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils but if you need to prepare a simple meal, then you must buy your own spices and oil. No shampoo or shower gel are provided too. Quite noisy as you could hear neighbours from coridor as well as below the street.

This was our 4th stay at Ventur Flat. Nice apartment with well equipped kitchen, large terrace with ocean view, excellent cleaning, the host Luis is very kind and helpful, quiet area and enjoyable to sit on the terrace in the evening, comfortable beds

Nice clean and modern apartment. Everything we needed. Having a washer is a great perk when you’re packing light and need to do laundry. Great host. Location is within striking distance of many great hikes. We got a lot for our money at this place.
Shower was a bit wonky with inconsistent temp and pressure, but we got through that. It didn’t affect us because our stay was over a weekend and holiday when parking was free, but the city had just made all of the parking in front of the apartment paid spaces. Bummer for this apartment host and his future guests.

Perfect apartment, perfect stay. Balcony is nice, although it may be windy there :-) Parking place available on two nearby streets. Some good restaurants few metres away.
Luis is a very friendly person - and there was a welcome gift waiting for us in the apartment. The discount to SPAR market in the same building is a nice bonus.
I totally recommmend Ventur Flat.

The flat is exceptionally clean. It is fully equipped and has everything you’d possibly need, from spare bed linen and towels to extra loo rolls and tea towels. A complimentary bottle of Madeira vine is there to welcome you.
The Spar supermarket is just below the flat (where Luis works) and a 10% discount is applied to all your shopping.
Luis can arrange a taxi to the airport for you which is very helpful.
All in all, I had a very enjoyable stay. :)
The property itself is great. However, the place Canico is quite hilly, so make sure your knees and hips are in check before you visit. There are over 70 stairs to the beach and the flat itself is on the second floor with no lift so add another 30 stairs to the mix.

Ventur flat was exceptionally clean, with ample amounts of linen and towels and a very comfortable bed. The kitchen area was excellent with everything you could possibly need and also a comfortable seating area with a flat screen TV. The Wi-Fi was good quality and consistent. However, it was the balcony, with it’s wonderful sea view, that made the property for us. It was so lovely to sit out in the morning for breakfast and to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening as the sun was going down. In addition to this, the number of excellent restaurants within a very short walking was great. A Traineira and Vila Ventura garden restaurant were our favourites. I would highly recommend this property!

We have received exceptional welcome and hospitality from the owner of the flat. Flat is nice, modern and very clean. Kitchen is modern and fully equipped. There is nice big balcony/terrace with amazing sea views. Parking for our hired car was not an issue. All in all, everything was well above our expectations. Hope to come back again.

We had a check-in conducted by Luis - with proper tour of the premises and all explanations that we could have wished for, as well as lots of tips on where to go and what to do, discounts for food in SPAR shop and parking space in proximity of the flat. The best private accommodation I have ever found on booking.com
