Great location, easy check-in, room far away from the bar

I could hear the people in the room next door very clearly through the interlocking door.

The room was a little small for a double bed but was spotlessly clean.

The room we were given on arrival was number 106 . Our first night was spoiled by the constant noise of the compressors outside the window. We mentioned this and were then given a quieter room for the rest of our stay. Everything was then perfect.

booked for son & his girlfriend as they were attending a wedding at hotel nearby. they are only 18/21 and have stayed in hostels etc - they refused to stay here!! stayed sober and drove home instead.

It was very pleasant, As our Previous stay , very happy and courteous staff . excellent customer s Service was greeted by the staff downstairs who were very helpful. On arrival on reception, the staff member was excellent, we were going to be put in the room that we stayed in previously., But we prefer to stay in a different room and she arrange that for us The gentleman that was on duty in the evening when we We are having food, was very helpful In fact, all the staff were very happy And cheerful gave wonderful customer service. Also very good value for money. I could recommend the Hatchet to friends and family.

Room was freezing cold when I booked in but after I turned heating on it soon warmed up

really friendly staff, even kept the fact i had ordered three rooms secret from my bf who i was trying to surprise with all his friends staying for his birthday

staircase extremely steep and hazard but more importantly, the lock broke on my friends bedroom. when we arrived back at the hotel, we could not open the door because the lock broke. My friend has epilepsy and needed urgent access to her medication that was locked in the room. it took a while to sort out and my friend had to move room. All three rooms were under my booking. very low water pressure in room 204 and no plug to get a bath.

Lovely clean and cosy room breakfast very good . had a good night with good food . and Excellent customer service. The staff couldn’t do enough to make us enjoy the time there also very good value. I could recommend the Hatchet to friends and family. Thanks very much guys for a lovely stay .

i loved everything.. for sure i’ll be back again and again! friendly staff, excellent room facilities, perfect location , loved the cookies left daily in our room 😊 whenever im coming back, its my hotel for sure

it was clean and tidy, great location.

website needs to be updated as there is no,parking but there is at KFC for £2 6pm to 8am. beer kegs in the back alley (residents entrance and fire escape) were loud upto 11pm, quiet after that.

It’s in the city and accessible in transportation and shop
