L’accueil, le service est convivial soir et matin avec un coup de cœur pour Yamina qui officie le matin ses omelettes et crêpes au miel un délice dans oublier ses idées de balades. La cadre est sympathique la piscine rafraîchissante. Excellent cadre belle situation adresse à retenir

Located in the heart of Cayenne's historic district, it is an ideal base for sightseeing. I was able to walk to Fort Cépérou (Phare de Fort Cépérou). The rooms are arranged around the pool, offering a relaxing holiday atmosphere. The on-site restaurant is highly popular and seemed to be bustling with locals. You should definitely consider having dinner there.

I liked the historic flair of the Creole house which is nowadays Hotel Ker Alberte and the room I was assigned in the old building towards the patio was perfect for me (room no. 17) - the location was great as it was almost next door to the Central market at a very convenient location in Cayenne with many local eating options around. If you rather are into fine dining, each evening the Hotel operates the Restaurant K in the lovely patio. - the lovely swimming pool could be used until 19h30, when the Restaurant opens - staff was really helpful and there were even 2 gentlemen from Brazil with whom I could speak in portuguese but I felt they are not always knowledgeable about what to do and what to see in Cayenne or give any advice or touristic tips. Anyway, the Tourism Office is just a few meters up the road. - the breakfast was definitely the best one on the whole trip through the 3 Guyanas, I was just surprised that I had to pay it extra (23 EUR / day). Erroneously and considering the rather steep price I paid for my accommodation I thought it was already included in my room rate and because of not being informed about the extra cost when checking in I was a bit irritated when only at check-out I learned I needed to pay my breakfast for the 5 days. In my opinion it would have been helpful being highlighted the extra cost at the moment of check in. But the breakfast definitely was worth the money and the lovely Moroccan lady made sure I got served my favourite "Crêpe beurre miel" every morning! - I liked that I could rent a car for a day directly at the hotel via their partner LB mobility and enjoyed driving around in a Fiat Panda for EUR 42/day.

I think a courtesy bottle of water/day should be included in the room in a hotel that boasts with its 4*, however in Hotel Ker Alberte you would need to pay for the water they put in your fridge, I find this rather uncommon. - apart from that nothing to mention except for my suggestion to clarify extra costs at the moment of check-in in order to have full transparency
