EVERYTHING. There was homemade ginger cake (best I've ever had) delicious produce for breakfast, great chats, wonderful art, books and decor plus Clive and Caroline were the most amazing hosts. The garden and flowers were so beautiful and location perfect. And to top it all off, our dog was allowed to stay.

Honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough. Great location, spacious, accommodating hosts who went out their way to help any way they could. Will definitely be staying again.

I really liked the accomodation the shepherds hut was a fabulous place to stay as a solo traveller, it was clean warm and cosy and it was very quiet and felt very safe & secure & I would definitely love to visit & stay again.
There's no TV in the room which is perfect to just be able to relax and unwind with a book and a radio.
The hosts were wonderful and were really helpful & they made a great cooked breakfast & I was able to sit outside in the wonderful garden & sit in the sun & enjoy the views of Skiddaw.
I think a little later checkout would be good for guests & possibly an earlier breakfast.

Caroline and Clive were really good hosts. We were given the option to choose another room that was available and it was a nice view of the lake. Room was clean with all amenities. Freshly prepared breakfast with good selection. Hosts gave us tips to travel around the area.

Lovely B&B close to everything you would need with a beautiful view of Skiddaw from our bedroom window! Hosts were so kind and helpful, nothing was too much to ask of them; they made our stay feel like a home away from home. Also, the breakfast was delicious! Would really recommend this B&B to fellow Lake District explorers!

Very welcoming. Tea and cakes offered on arrival. Room was very comfortable with a beautiful view. Toiletries exceptional. Variety of tea and coffee. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from . Good location. The pub as you enter the village was great .

Magical, relaxed and friendly guest house. Clive and Caroline are exceptional hosts and it was a pleasure for us to stay in their wonderful home, we particularly enjoyed the garden. We will be back!

Comfortable and cosy bed in the shepherds hut which had tonnes of little touches that gave it character, an absolutely delicious breakfast (which I had sat in the sun in the beautiful garden) and was made to feel right at home by Caroline and Clive

Very friendly hosts, we’re always happy to stop and chat and offer tips around the local area. Breakfast in the morning was very good. Probably one of the best breakfasts we have had at a b&b, a lot of options and very tasty locally sourced food. On arrival we were greeted with a cuppa and some cake which went down a treat. Beautiful gardens and our room was very clean and comfortable. Loved the amenities like the array of tea which was offer in our room. Loved how all toiletries were locally sourced just like the produce. We also loved how there was super king beds and our lake view room.
Could have done with a curtain over the blinds. My partner is a very light sleeper and was woken up every morning from the light escaping through the corners of the blinds. However, this didn’t bother me as I sleep well.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mount. Clive and Caroline are excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome.
Breakfast was delicious. Location of the property was brilliant.
