The host was pretty friendly :) The room was basic but had everything we needed. An refrigerator is in front of the room. They’re only up to I guess 6 rooms so it’s pretty familiar. Aswell it was possible to directly book a trip to the lagoon of Bacalar via the host which made it pretty easy for us. We had a private tour! We can recommend this place for everyone who doesn’t have luxury expectations and is on a budget. P.s.: it was possible to leave our luggage after check out for a few hours.

Such a clean, comfortable and cozy place to stay. Super comfy and wide bed. Nice balcony. Nice 5 min walk to the center. Offered a boat tour with a good price. Lovely lady taking care of the house. Would have loved to stay longer.

Small thing - they provide a small breakfast but it was not communicated (or maybe we didn’t understand), I just saw it in the reviews but did not know where to find it :) Also there are some construction work in the yard during the day but it didn’t bother us.

All is amazing! Love the size of the room and bathroom, the shower is amazing and the parking area is nice and secure.

Clean, nice, cosy very friendly family is running the place save location can be reached by food from ADO Bus terminal. 5 min location is mostly quiet 4 minutes to city center offer tours to Lagune, nice too booked only one night, as I had very mad experience with a 9,x Fake-rated “hotel” in booking, stayed 5?nights

Its super clean, quiet and well managed. Its in a great location. Comfy beds, hot showers and good wifi. Drinking water is supplied by the owner and you can make tea and coffee. Our room had a great balcony, worth paying the extra for. It has a real family feel. We extended our stay as this hotel and Bacalar were so great.

Room position in property not great. don’t go for the downstairs rooms. more noise, view from window not good and no privacy unless curtain shut. no private outside space. the surroundings of the property are scruffy and untidy. wouldn’t take much to pretty up the garden communal area. no English spoken, perhaps signs up written in both language s would make a more welcoming statement.

I loved this place. the rooms were immaculate and super clean. the staff were so helpful & the little girl who daughter of one of the staff was so kind and helping me find things and settle me in, she was the sweetest most loveable kind girl ever, she was my little bestie! location is good only short walk to the main square. good wifi and super comfy beds! lovely complimentary soaps etc in bathroom and also got complimentary brekkie every day with coffee or tea amazing !!

great location, within walking distance from the town and the lake. We loved the courtyard area outside and breakfast and coffee were provided each morning. The rooms were adorable and clean, with maid service provided every day as well as laundry services. The family was unbelievably helpful as well. Overall, a lovely, quaint hotel with a welcoming vibe.

A little gem in a very quiet location yet just a few meters from the central area of Bacalar. The place is very laid back, at the same time it has everything one may need for a pleasant stay. The rooms were extremely clean. Drinking water as well as tea/coffee amenities were provided. Complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise.

Bacalar is under construction these days (end of March), we might not have hit it in its best. However, that definitely has nothing to do with excellent accommodation at Casa Chejum.

We loved this little gem, close to everything and super quiet, they had everything you needed as well the courtyard was very nice to relax in and have a coffee or drink. The room was super clean and the bed was amazing. We asked for a blanket and they gave us two in a very quick turnaround and that was so nice. The staff were so nice and helpful and work very hard at keeping this place nice for visitors. As a bonus I asked if they would do our laundry and they did for a good price and did it with a lot of care. We loved it there and will come back for sure. Internet was very good as well.

Super friendly staff who organize you everything even though they dont speak English. We got breakfast for free. All rooms and ambient are so pretty.

small charming place ran by locals. They only speak Spanish but try their best to help you if you have questions, even if it means using a translating app. It was very clean and in a good location. The bed was comfortable and the environment was calm and quiet at night. good value for money
