Do Step Inn Central - Self-Service-Hostel

Solo lo aconsejo porque está al lado de la estación central. El personal de limpieza muy amable.

Desastre a la hora de hacer el check in, no hay recepción.

The hostel is a walking distance to Vienna Central Station. Sudtiroler Platz metro station is literally beside the hostel. It was clean, safe and comfortable.

I had the best time in the hostel.

I liked how the hostel is located next to the main train station, this was a great welcome as it meant I was within walking distance to the metro (travelling around the city centre) and I could catch the train on its way to Hallstatt. It was easy to book, and clear instructions on how to check-in. I liked how the hostel was clean and tidy. I respect that the bed had sliding doors for privacy.

I didn’t like the pillows, too squishy and soft as I was sinking into the pillow which made my sleep uncomfortable. I kept hitting my knees off the wooden doors because the bed is quite narrow. I didn’t like that there was no safe place for my luggage, I had to sleep with it next to me. With me being tall, I found it hard trying to get in and out of the bed, the gap of the sliding doors was small to get out from. The sliding doors were noisy, to pull. I helped someone who had limited English check-in on my iPhone at the hostel because their phone couldn’t access the website for check-in, the links kept loading but no access. We did try to call for help on the tannoy but the person on the other end was unhelpful. This person’s phone was Android, so there must be something wrong with the website links access to an Android phone. I would like to see reception hours to be included which would help people have peace of mind that they can check-in if something like this happened again, someone can’t access the website because the links wouldn’t work on their phone.
