El Wifi

De bungalow was heel proper en goed onderhouden. Perfecte afspraak om sleutel te ontvangen bij aankomst. Voldoende ruimte om met 2 koppels te verblijven of als koppel met 2 kinderen. Alle kook- en eetmateriaal is voldoende aanwezig. Mooi buitenterras met zetel en eettafel. De ruimte rondom het gemeenschappelijk centraal zwembad en het kinderzwembad is wel niet goed onderhouden. Op wandelafstand liggen enkele kleine restaurantjes en cafétjes (wel veel Ieren in deze buurt). +/- 48 minuten wandelen langs de kust naar stadje (mooie promenade). Een auto is aan te raden als je iets wil zien van het eiland.

De gemeenschappelijke ruimte (omgeving van zwembad) in het vakantiedomein is niet zo goed onderhouden.

Having an ensuite bathroom in each bedroom was cool. The apartment seemed bigger having an open kitchen.

The swimming pool was closed for a week before we arrived and we were informed about it after arriving! We couldn't do anything about it anymore as other places in our price range were already booked. It was frustrating and very disappointing, taking our joy away from the start! Owner contacted me back eventually after I said I was going to contact Booking.com customer service. We were refunded some money but I would of much rather been informed before arrival and book else where! The apartment was cluttered with kids toys in every room, including living room. Also half of the biggest wardrobe was full of kids mattresses, etc. There was a washing machine but no washing powder- we left the rest of our so hopefully next customers can use it ;) One bottle of soap for 2 bathrooms. No other toiletries. The parking is a street parking, we were coming home after 7pm and always struggled with finding space, parking further and further away. There was a long walk from the main gate to the apartment. Bbq was completely rusty and had a hole right through it!

2 toilets- for every bedroom

The property was well equipped, 10 minutes to/from the airport, very quiet. It will give plenty of walking exercise! The pool looked clean and was big, however we did not try it.

The property was dirty on arrival, with the need to wash all cutlery and crockery before use. It is very remote, being a 40 minute walk from a decent selection of bars and restaurants (there are a couple of each 15 minutes away, of lesser quality). The taxi driver from the airport could not find it from the address given (ask for the Pyramid Hotel, it's 100 yards away.

The appartment is on the inside exactly like the photos on booking.com. Nice kitchen. Good weather.

We have experienced difficulties with the owner & the local host. The local host was very hard to get in touch with when we arrived and communication was difficult (not answering phone, no-show at departure time while she had the 200 euro deposit!). I have booked this appartment four months upfront because of the availability of WIFI. Essential for the work of my husband. Willing to pay the extra 200 euro (comparing to other available appartments without WIFI). One week before we left we got a wifi code-"Very nice, but when we arrived this was not the case. Owners first reaction on our question was "it shouldn't be a problem because you have free 3G/4G in Europe these days". BUT that first of all gave us the impression owner was aware of the problem but not honest. AND second this outbound area has no Phone signal at all. To be short, owner gave us every day a different story or action to repair the wifi (calling Orange, going to the WIFI-modem at the neighbours - but they were not there, Orange is sending someone etc.) but was not taking responsibility themselves. Also , you should be aware that the house looks nice but maintenance of the property is very poor (see the photos). Most of the houses are rented out to (social) minima. No offence but may be not giving a real 'holiday vibe'. The swimming pool was not open at all. This whole area is a bit creepy. I would suggest downtown Castillo del Fuste. I think the owner will give feedback on my review that we are very high demanding. But we have experienced they are not honest and not willing to take the role of host/owner AT ALL. When we told them they were responsible to fix the WIFI there was no reaction at first. We told them we would complain at booking.com. Then they came at the very last day with an apology (that they live in France and the local host not available). Now, they try to give us a refund of 10% of the price of a night.
