Malta is a small island so with car rental the location was perfect. The house was beautiful and the kids just loved the pool!

Il Kiostro is an amazing place, living fully up to the advertised picture. The garden with all the plants, flowers and the lovely pool is a wonderful place to hang out. This is an ideal base for a vacation in Malta—not least because the hosts are very friendly and helpful. They gave us many useful tips during our stay at Il Kiostro.
The only thing to be kept in mind is that if you come early in the year, before it has become warm, is that traditional Mediteranean houses are not insulated and can be quite cold—perhaps especially for people coming from northern climes, where you keep your houses warm. But you can rent AC units in the bedrooms and a gas heater for the main living area. That said, I highly reccomend Il Kiostro.

Everything, it was an excellent villa to stay in, so much care and attention taken to ensure that your stay is pleasurable. The hosts were so kind and helpful even picking us up from the airport. Its so comfortable and interesting, you don't need to leave if you just want quiet and enjoy the oasis! I will return as very enjoyable stay.

Il Kiostro is a beautiful old house, very comfortable and spacious. It's well equipped and full of character. The location is perfect for visiting Valetta, the Blue Grotto, Mdina and many other sites.

Daniel was the perfect host. He met us at the property and talked us through everything we needed to know about our stay in his beautiful house. The house itself was very well equipped with everything we would need including hairdryers, hand wash, loo paper, towels in the bedrooms/bathrooms. The kitchen had absolutely everything that we could possibly need during our stay too. Daniel was very responsive to any questions we had both before and during our stay and even found us some umbrellas for the one rainy day that we had.
We took taxis most places which was very easy via an app and we walked to the Blue Grotto which took roughly 25 minutes. I would highly recommend this property to anyone thinking of visiting Malta.

The villa is really lovely and very well equipped.
The owner was very friendly and went out of his way to help us but living next door we were always aware of them being around.

It was an impressive historic old house. The house was large and spacious with two nice secluded court yards with a swimming pool. The house was very clean and everything was disinfected before our arrival as we were in the middle of Covid-19 problem. The owners, Daniel and Clinton were very nice people and are taking vert good care of the property. Every time they met us, they wore a face mask and kept the distance. Although we chatted quite a lot, we felt safe. They were also very helpful, giving us a local and the island map as well as where to visit. They also gave us detailed informations when we needed. The town was nice and quiet, short drive distance to Blue Grotto, Ħaġar Qim temple and some other beaches. The neighbourhood felt very safe, pretty and had a cozy local vibe. It may be because of the Covid situation, we did not see many people on the street. There are many shops nearby. Almost every day, we stayed in for BBQ supper. We really want to go back again soon.

Everything was wonderful! We had requested a Christmas tree as we were staying over Christmas week. Our hosts outdid themselves and decorated the whole house impeccably! The house itself was perfect for our needs (6 adults) with separate bedrooms & bathrooms. The house was very well located for bus routes, groceries and other shops. The nearby town was beautiful during this Christmas time.
I was a little disappointed that the pool & hot tub weren't heated. This is the only, very minor issue that we had
