Despite all the glowing reviews online, we were still blown away by the reality of the apartment. What a treat to stay there. Its chic and modern but comfortable, cosy and private. The bed and linen were sublime. Wonderful glassware and crockery. Everything is just perfect. Wendy was so friendly and immediately took our uncooked pizzas off to cook in her oven for us. She even delivered fresh homemade pesto with the cooked pizzas a shortwhile later!! Some people are just natural hosts - and of course Sugar the beautiful white kitty was there to cuddle homesick travelers....but only on request, she didnt come inside - very polite indeed. As others have mentioned, there was a cold bottle of wine in the fridge, snacks, water, yoghurt and lovely coffee to kickstart our early departure to the airport (which is only 30min away). How we wished for another night or two there to enjoy it fully. But we shall be back & next time we will make sure we get to enjoy the stunning view and sparkling blue pool. This is not a little thrown together apartment furnished with spare odds & ends - it is a creation of love & care. I miss it already!

I loved everything of the place, the pool was tops , They just had everything we needed.It was really clean and the beds wow tops😊 I must say Wendy was really nice and welcome us very warmly. We will be back soon again

I always appreciate when a host does a bit extra. Muesli and yogurts, eggs, wine, packet of crisps etc. Lovely stay, clean, spacious, modern. Beautiful view.

Area

I loved the thought that the host put into making our stay comfortable. There were games and breakfast ingredients for us to use in the morning. We absolutely loved the experience!

Wendy is a lovely host- she prepared the accomodation with everything you need for a nice stay close to stellenbosch and helps you with all the questions you will have:) The Location is perfect - really close to the wine farms around stellenbosch :) We would definitly come back!

This is indeed a gem. Wendy's attention to details is exceptional and very rarely found in home accommodations. I've been in many airbnb and b&b accommodations. This is outstanding and would deserve its own category for coziness and comfort at an excellent price

The host goes to a lot of effort. Lots of small touches to make you feel welcome. There is a beautiful pool and view as seen in the photos.

The location was unexpected. For the price, we did not expect it to be located in a disadvantaged area. We felt unsafe and checked out within an hour or so. When we checked out, we were told this has happened a few times, that people leave early because of the area it is in.

The property looked exactly as it does in the pictures. the bathroom is lovely and so is the bedroom. the aesthetics were exactly how I expected. there was a complementary bottle of wine, which was a nice touch. the property also has a towel warmer which is great as the bathroom is quite cold. the property also has a battery back up for loadshedding which is really nice.

although it was generally clean, it was a bit dusty. the headboard and the pictures above the bed were dusty and there were old cobwebs hanging. the dust from the headboard irritated both mine and my sister’s sinuses, and we were sniffling throughout the night - although we arrived feeling fine and were fine when we were outside the property.

The heated towel rails were great. There were spices and other extras in the kitchen for the guests' use which were lovely, including a very nice bottle of wine which we enjoyed. The accommodation was very spacious.

When I book accommodation, I compare properties in the same price range. I was unpleasantly surprised when I noticed that an additional R280,00 was added for cleaning where this is usually included in the price when I book through Booking.com. This was obviously stated in the small print but was not apparent when I made the booking. The hostess forgot that she had agreed in writing on 4 June that we could check in earlier and sounded a little irritated when we arrived as per our prior arrangement, stating that check-in is only later and that the room was not yet ready. A picture of the street view would have been helpful. The location was next to an unkept open plot and a number of properties in the street were under construction.
