The condo view was amazing! The location is perfect for a quick walk (few steps) down to the beach. This unit was at the end of the building, beach front with the pool at the other end. The beach was quiet and peaceful. There were few people, even with the neighboring resorts, which made it perfect for our stay. The sitting area furniture, near the balcony door, doesn't match the photos (wicker) and the sofa in the living area was peeling in spots along the bottom and top. The outside is very dark at night, no bright lights due to turtle nesting, so we didn't sit outside after sunset. If you like higher elevation to sleep, bring a few extra pillows for the master suite. One suggestion to the resort is to add a few paddle boards, kayaks and a couple of bikes to rent for the guests. Otherwise, our vacation was perfect! I highly recommend Sand Cay Beach Resort for those seeking a nice, relaxing, quiet sanctuary right on the beach that is still close to shopping, resteraunts and lively entertainment. The resort staff were friendly and helpful.

The unit was very dated. For 3K+ for a week rental I expected a much nicer unit. From the mismatched dishes, glasses, rusted stove & fridge to the electrical plugs being dangerously wired, internet not working & employee blaming us for using a plug to charge a cell phone which caused the internet not to work, plug should have been marked not to use but wasn’t. The living room furniture was lawn furniture, not comfortable at all, the other couch was so old the fake leather was pealing off, looked like something from the 80’s. Looked like owners use this space for all their old stuff, stuff they no longer want, very disappointing to say the least. We have vacationed at Sand Cay for over 30 yrs, worst room we’ve ever stayed in. Won’t stay in this unit again! Owners need a set a matching plates, glasses, plastic cups, a complete sets of silverware, not a bunch of mismatched forks & knives, a good set of knives & more than 4 spoons would have been nice! Very disappointing! View was great!

The condo location was perfect until you walked into the kitchen.Didn’t smell fresh like someone just cleaned the unit.The kitchen utensils a disaster, the master king mattress , aweful !!!!Furniture the most uncomfortable.When you rent a unit and paying a lot of money, you want all the comforts of home.Will highly recommend a total makeover.

We were in #203 and the location was wonderful. We got to look out at the beach and sunset everyday. I think that some of the condo could be updated a bit but other than that the experience was just wonderful.

Wonderful setting, nice grounds, unbelievable beach and access. Close to restaurants and parks. Only downside was the unit was musty at times. Damp environment a challenge, but a dehumidifier would help.

Unit 203 is a large property in an excellent position overlooking the gulf.Unfortunately the furniture and furnishings are a little outdated and kitchen utensil stock is inadequate e.g. No teaspoons.

Lovely family-friendly spot on a beautiful beach. All common areas and pool were clean, well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. Not a super fancy resort but for our purposes it was perfect. Our unit has beach front views which were spectacular especially at sunset. We had no problems with noise. Our unit was somewhat dated and kitchen could have been better stocked with utensils etc. but we have no major complaints.

Our family had a great time at Sand Cay in Unit 203, 1 of a several units here that have a perfect view. The beach, pool and access to both was amazing for the kids that like to go back and forth to both multiple times a day. Tennis court, shuffle board and free laundry were great amenities. The only thing we noticed was unit 203 needed some flooring updated in the bathrooms, other than that it worked very well with 6 of us. Thanks again Sand Cay for making this a great family vacation!!!

Unit 203 is in a perfect location. Nice balcony with unobstructed 180 degree views of the gulf. Unit needs some updates but still ok for a short stay. Unit also could use a washer/dryer.

Such a beautiful spot on Longboat Key! The unit was beachfront so we had easy access to the beach and a great view of the sunsets every night. Kitchen was well appointed and furniture was nice. The unit smelled of mildew when we arrived, so we opened up the windows and ran the AC. The tile floor in the master bath was broken and uneven, and the guest toilet broke shortly we arrived. Someone came to fix it quickly. Unit needs a little updating, but overall was an enjoyable place to stay.

Visited in October with family and we loved every minute of our stay. Unit 203 may not be the most updated, but it had by far the best views from nearly all rooms and was very spacious. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped and the community was fun and friendly. We are definitely coming back and extending our stay there. One of our favorite Florida destinations so far. I've decided any prior poor reviews of this unit were trying to throw people off from renting it so they could have it to theirselves. LOL!

Excellent Getaway!
Visited in October with family and we loved every minute of our stay. Unit 203 may not be the most updated, but it had by far the best views from nearly all rooms and was very spacious. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped and the community was fun and friendly. We are definitely coming back and extending our stay there. One of our favorite Florida destinations so far. I've decided any prior poor reviews of this unit were trying to throw people off from renting it so they could have it to theirselves. LOL!

When we arrived the place didn't seem to be very clean, but I guess everyone is particular. Furniture is very outdated and need to be replaced. Kitchen is outdated and utensils have seen better days. The place needs an electric tea kettle. Ants were everywhere. Blinds are broken. Ceiling is leaking by the window. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Pillows felt like cardboard boxes. Please replace them ASAP.

Property was a little dated and kitchen utensils were very used. But the view was wonderful. So many rentals have uncomfortable furniture but the chairs and sofas were very nice.
