Location was great, very close to beach with loungers and umbrellas available for free for hotel guests (although these are quickly occupied so you need to head down early). Dinner is included in the price and was tasty (pasta dishes were always very well cooked and dessert was great) although it may be difficult to continue eating there everyday for longer trips. It is walkable to several other bars and restaurants. Personal highlight was Veranda bar, which is 5 mins walk, for a bit of music and more similar to an Ibiza style beach bar with swimming pool. Great view of the sea from the beach.
For context we stayed in the last week of April so it may be considered "pre-season". However, there was lots of construction/renovation ongoing throughout our stay, and only about half of the hotel facilities seemed open, which was disappointing. In my opinion, if the hotel is open for guests, it's reasonable for guests to expect the whole hotel to be open/available. For instance, the lounge bar was closed, the rooftop bar/restaurant was closed etc. and none of this was made clear to us prior to booking, or even when we were checking in. My main cause for frustration was that the hotel was clearly understaffed, meaning it was very difficult to get any service. We were not offered a single drink whilst sitting on the loungers, and were unable to get anybody's attention, as they were never there! We overheard guests complaining they had waited over 45 mins for their first drink and this was a regular theme. Any food being brought out from the restaurant was such a long walk for the waiter that it was painfully slow, and they didn't use any trays so they could only bring what they could hold in two hands. At dinner, the one waiter serving, disappered for around 30 mins so we had a huge wait between mains and dessert, just sitting there with our empty plate and empty glasses in front of us. Staff were very friendly and clearly doing their best, but there wasn't enough of them, and they would sometimes be cleaning or chatting instead of looking after guests?! Overall, this could either be the start of the season and they'll hit their stride and be a well oil machine by peak season (June/July), or if this is a sign of what's to come, service will be even slower/less attentive when the hotel increases it's occupancy. From other reviews, slow service seems to be a bit of an issue! We enjoyed our stay, but there is certainly room for improvement.

Amazing staff; Tana in particular was so welcoming and helpful. Easy to organise everything- nothing too much.
Location perfect, beach and especially VIP area were great.
Evening food good value included in price, discount to upgrade to the beach restaurant at night too which is great.
Beach bar also great (but loud, so bring earplugs if needed)
Breakfast needed more savoury options.
The swimming pool area needs a bit of TLC (even though pool itself was pleasant and clean)
Small thing but- more hooks in the bathroom needed

If you’re wanting to stay in the thick of it or are travelling to party, it’s for you.
If you’re not looking to hit the bars and party, I wouldn’t recommend as you’re staying directly behind them all so it’s very loud.

Poda is a very nice hotel with a very comfortable pool. The rooms are comfortable and the staff did their best to accommodate the chaos of the place. I would recommend this hotel, if you want to deal with the loud area and amount of people and to see the hidden gem of Albania.
The rooms did not have a lot of mirrors, the breakfast was sub par and dinner could have been better. The hotel is not quiet as from the hours of early morning until midnight, you will be overtaken by LOUD music from the bars in front of the hotel. Want to enjoy your dinner, you can't because of how loud the music is at the hotel. Ksamil is a beautiful place in Albania, however due to the publicity of the place , Ksamil has turned a bit more into a teenage fun fest. What was once a peaceful and nice place to visit has become a hotel frenzy.

The staff were so excellent, every single one of the young restaurant staff couldn’t do enough for you and worked so tirelessly. Special thanks for Xene and Anna
The rooms were clean and very comfortable
the music played from 8am-1am and even in your room you can hear it so you can’t get away from it. This was what made our stay less enjoyable and not particularly relaxing as there was just a constant club beat and gave us a headache when all you want to do is sleep and relax on the beach or by the pool.

Right next to the beach and had a balcony view. Jeni, Samir and Anna were all so helpful and welcoming and really made our stay pleasant. They would always go out of there way to make sure we were catered for!
Not much options for breakfast but the dinner there was really good.
We also had a jacuzzi in our hotel room but only 2 of the jets were working.

The food was outstanding. The kitchen and staff went out of their way to create a diverse menu for us and we ate like kings for a week. Fresh fish, lobster, shrimp, prawns, salads, and a 12 hour lamb bake- among the wonderful meals we had. The staff were friendly and accommodated our every request- they even gave us beach toys for the kids. Beds were comfortable, room was clean and comfortable. We booked the ocean view which was really nice. Sat out on the balcony each morning and evening- enjoying the view.

Very comfortable, spacious, and clean room. The location is great, and the hotel beach bar with its sun beds and deck are exceptional.

I’m very sorry to say but the staff could be much more better. very long waiting time for small request during the meal (such as an americano for breakfast or a slice of lemon for dinner).

The staff at this property were truly some of the nicest and most helpful we have met in all our travels and really made our stay. We were also really impressed with the meals that were included in the packages - delicious and varied and again the wait staff were fantastic and even got me a special desert on our last night. We booked a sea view room and the balcony and view were really nice - in general, the room was great although a little on the small side and missing a couple of the finishing touches we’d expect (like there was a kettle but no tea or coffee and no robes provided).
This really isn’t the hotel’s fault but I cannot stress enough how noisy Ksamil and the beach area are at the time of year we visited (end August). For context, we’re a couple in our late 20s/ early 30s and enjoy a drink and some music at night but this was another level - music blared ALL DAY from a foam party at the hotel on 2/3 days we were there and you couldn’t escape it anywhere. It could be heard in the room, at the pool and every corner of the beach with some
of the speakers actually blaring out towards the beach area. Although the first few rows of the beach are reserved for hotel guests it’s really spoiled by the sheer number of beds they squeeze into the beach. Its probably one of the busiest beaches I’ve ever seen. We’d seen some reviews mentioning the noise and didn’t think it would bother us particularly but it was on a level I’ve never heard before - even in places like Mexico and Thailand party resorts. I’m sure off season it’s much more relaxing but we would caution against going in peak time unless you’re there for an all day party. Also loads of children.

The staff here, especially Ana the manager and Xhenie at the front desk were so amazing we wanted to stay longer. They were so accommodating, kind, fun, and funny that every day just felt perfect. Ana learned exactly how we liked our drinks and would make sure the bartender made custom creations that were delicious and hand-crafted. The food was great, especially the lobster. There was no issue getting a lounger and the beach was beautiful.
Not really a complaint, just a heads up that Ksamil is a part during the summer so expect to hear music every night into the wee hours. I'm a sensitive sleeper and I just played my white noise and really had no problem at all.

My Husband and I had a fantastic time in Poda Hotel.
The food at the restaurant was exceptional, so fresh and well executed. If you like fresh fish Poda restaurant is the place to go in Kzamil.
The hotel is facing the sea and has a bar where you can enjoy nice cocktails and party. At night it get really busy and you can enjoy nice Albanian music.
All staff was very friendly but i believe should be more trained to welcome international traveller.
The hotel mentioned private beach but in reality it’s not really, beach was overcrowded and we would have appreciated some space near the beach reserved all day for Hotel guests. We had to stay at the swimming pool one day because no sun-bed available at the beach.
Breakfast was good but we would have appreciated more savoury options.

First of all, thanks to all the hotel and restaurant staff, all fantastic. But especially to Ana, who since our arrival welcomed us incredibly and tried to make the whole experience wonderful. I would also like to give a special thanks to our dear waiter, fluent in 8 languages and that Ana called him to serve us at the restaurant (the only excuse I want to give here is that unfortunately I forgot his name, but if you can write here, Anna, thank you). The hotel is in front of the beach, close to shops, bars and restaurants. But best of all is the restaurant, the best we've been to on the entire coast of Albania, so much so that we changed our plans and had dinner there every day, at tables outside, facing the beach. Super fresh fish and seafood with delicious seasonings and sauces, tailor-made for us every day, recommended by our wonderful waiter. Comfortable rooms, only the bathroom that I found a little small and no place to leave things over the sink. Thanks to everyone for everything!
The only negative point is that there is a party every night and the noise at night bothers the rooms facing the sea (of my friends, mine was on the side, it didn't bother me much).

The only thing I didn’t like was the loud music that was on all the time in the beach bar. It’s such a beautiful location I felt it spoilt the peace, sometimes it would be competing with the neighbouring hotel and was so loud you couldn’t have a conversation
