The location is halfway between the Fiscalini Rsnch and its beautiful walking trails and Lampton Cliffs Park. It has a very spacious patio in front of the house with a dining table for 6 and a gas barbecue and a small upstairs deck. We were two blocks from beach access and could hear the sea lions barking. The kitchen was very well equipped, including a French press for coffee, a food processor and a blender, and the appliances look relatively new. The beds are very comfortable, and one has a huge walk-in closet. The only negatives are that the two bedrooms have a full bathroom in between them with sliding doors between each bedroom and the bathroom but no locks on the doors. The second bathroom is upstairs. Also, there are no screens on the upstairs windows. The threshold where you enter the house was cracked and needs replacing, and the batteries for the flashlights and battery-operated candles need to be replaced. All in all, Ocean Mist is terrific, and I would stay there again. The person in the office who greeted us and gave us the door code and internet information was not great. She did not offer us a bottle of wine and the internet network name thst she gave us was incorrect. She said she would be in the office until 4 pm if we had any questions, but when we called about the internet at 3:35 pm, she was gone and we got voicemail. Fortunately a very nice young woman brought the refilled propane tank and was able to help us open a door we couldn’t open and find the correct internet network. We went back to Breen’s office the next day and got our bottle of wine. The two women there exceptionally nice and friendly. In the office when we went backbright and comfortable

This is a wonderful home, in a perfect setting. We had a great time and were rescued from the heat of our regular home. Everything went well except for the smoke alarms going off unexpectedly and we had quite a time figuring out how to unplug them. It seemed that the batteries were low and so we finally switched around some batteries and that seemed to work, but we did call the emergency number quite a few times with no response. It could have beeped all night if we didn't figure it out so for next time, if you leave an emergency number, please respond. Otherwise, it was really great. Carol and Fred

It was refreshingly cool near the ocean, with cool air and often mist in the AM. The house suited our needs well, with close proximity to the ocean and the walking trails. We appreciated the service call to replace the empty propane tank on the BBQ, which enabled us to have a nice cookout. We'll recommend this house to our friends.

The location is amazing with views of the ocean and very close proximity to ocean access and the Fiscalinni Preserve. The house was stocked with all we needed, including spices to cook with. We also grilled fresh fish on the patio and enjoyed the birds, deer, and little bunnies. Our dog was safe behind the picket fence and she loved watching people walk by with their dogs. Carmen was amazing, she came by to get the tv working for us, even though it was after 5:00. She was so sweet and we appreciated her concern for our stay. We slept great, ate great, and truly can not wait to return.

Turned out I disturbed a spider in the spider web.. Lots of dust and dirt batches that came out when the wind blew in. The windows ate super rusty and unable.to open without breaking your nail. Most of the skillets are scratched to their core. The bed in the master bedroom was awful. The downstairs bathroom needs locks and to fix the water pressure in the sink. This is not super close (have to drive) to the downtown areas, but the proximity to the beach and to the preserve for nice long walks was amazing. We cooked a lot of meals and did not come up short on ANYTHING we needed. And there are some thoughtful touches throughout--a flashllight at the entry table for taking out trash; dog toys and bags if you bring your dogs (we didn't, but still); sand toys for kids in the laundry room; laundry soap provided so you don't have to buy a huge bottle to do one load. Just nice, thoughtful amenities. We very much enjoyed our stay. Also, i have bad allergies and the lack of carpeting and the cleanliness was much appreciated! i felt great the whole time!

Perfect location to beach access for ride pooling during low tides and great hiking/walking access to the ranch park.The patio area was a nice surprise also- very big and good for the dogs.I would have preferred to sign rental agreement on-line and to have had the door access code texted to me (arrived after hours) instead of having to drive to the office to pick up an envelope with the code in it! After a 5hr drive and arriving after 10pm we would have appreciated just going directly to the house. I assumed there was actual keys that needed physically picked up. :(

It is located just one block from the ocean, and the neighborhood is quiet and well maintained. From the upstairs balcony we watched sea otters playing in the kelp and heard the ocean waves. The beach is just a short block and a half walk from the house; with lots of tide pools to explore when the tide is out. There is a Master Bedroom and bathroom downstairs, as well as a second bedroom (sort of a jack and Jill bathroom set up with pocket doors adjoining). Upstairs is a well-stocked kitchen with just about anything you might need. There is also a very comfortable T.V. room/Livingroom that opens from the kitchen, with a large flat screen television; fireplace; and a expandable table for dining or gameing. There is a second bathroom upstairs with a shower. This home is conveniently located near downtown Cambria; and just a short drive from Hearst Castle. We saw the Elephant Seals lounging and playing at the rookery just North of the castle on Hwy 1. We drove to Morro Rock and watched a "raft" of 10 otters in the estuary: two of them had babies! We also walked along the beach and shopped. Our favorite dinner spot is the Sea Chest along Moonstone Drive in Cambria (great seafood); Linn's in Cambria; and the Creekside Garden Cafe for Breakfast in Cambria. We were a little disappointed that the BBQ at the home didn't work; and we couldn't get the broiler to work in the kitchen. It was super to be able to bring our Yorkie with us...she could fit through the fence so we kept her on a leash and took her for lots of walks. There were several deer with fawns that freely grazed in the neighborhood, and even s skunk that we managed to avoid! All in all, we had a restful and enjoyable vacation and look forward to returning soon. Kudos to Breen Vacation Rentals for making us feel welcome and helping the whole rental process so easy.

Very peaceful and serene experience, loved listening to the waves and the sea lions sea. Beautiful coastal drive to Morro Bay as well as Big Sur and Carmel. This is our yearly destination. This lovely house made our stay perfect and convenient.
