Great weekend until the ferry system broke down on Sunday. I will not return to Friday Harbor because of that, sorry for your little town

Easy to walk to town. The house is old but kept up fairly well except for the front porch and yard. Furnishings were ok but definitely not enough seating if the house is full except for a bunch of mixed types of dining chairs. We enjoyed our stay and it suited our group well for what we needed.

Overall, a great place for a large group. The location was perfect and walkable to everything in town.

The property was perfect for our party of 8. We needed separate rooms for family and friends. Property is within walking distance to everyone. Communication with Andrea was a breeze. House is old and creaky but lots of character and fully functional. Some beds were comfier than others. Would totally stay here again!

Our first visit to Friday Harbor -- and we will be back and we will stay here❤️. Many restaurants are closed Tues & Wed so the perfect kitchen saved our bacon (literally!). Each bedroom has it's own fan, windows, heater. Fabulous, interesting, comfortable, adaptable! Great for families. Private yard. SO close to all the fun but totally quiet and private. What more could you possibly want?

It is a very large home with plenty of room for 6 of us to spread out. As advertised it is rustic including rust in the sink in the tiny bathroom of the master.

Entire family loved our stay in such a comfortable quaint home. Kids ran and play in the spacious yard. We loved the spacious inviting rooms. Walking distance to food, restaurants, and great views of the island. Highly recommend.

Most frustrating and difficult part of process was dealing with VRBO and trying to determine availability of property w/o having to submit credit card number before knowing if property was available at the time we wanted.

This is a great place for a large group. We had two families with 3 teens/young adults. So everyone needed their own space to be. The house is a classic quirky old Farmhouse with unique things, (like cool glass nobs to open the cabinets) so you need to bring some extra patience with this one, the floors squeak when you walk and doors stick sometimes, because hey, it's a little older. That's ok with us, as we like the character it brings. Location is fantastic, walkable to town and ferry so you could definitely leave your car on the mainland if you wanted too. Would love to have a little more soft seating in the family room but we had plenty of tables to use for games and puzzles while we were there. Thanks for letting us stay. - Whitney H.

Home was great, only complaint was the beds were very uncomfortable. Lots of bedding & towels etc, just very uncomfortable mattresses. Definitely worth the money, location etc 😊

Andrea is a fantastic host. Smooth check-in and check-out process. They had snow storm and power outage prior to our arrival. Andrea was very proactive and kept us informed prior to our arrival. Appreciate her hospitality.

Have stayed at this property many times. Property is always clean, well provisioned and ready for our arrival. The owner is friendly, helpful and, when needed, flexible. We will return again.

This property was in a perfect location to walk around Friday Harbor! Just a few blocks away, we could get our morning coffee, afternoon ice cream, grab food at the grocery store, or do a little shopping! The old world charm of the house was perfect to host our multi-generational family for a wedding over the weekend!

Very comfortable for our group. Nothing fancy and some finishes were worn a bit but it was a very large functional and charming house. Back porch and mostly fenced yard to store our bikes and create privacy. So walkable to restaurants and groceries and the ferry. Listing does not show much of the common area/living room and large kitchen but there was ample room for 4 couples to have privacy and to hang out together. Great place, we will be back!

The house is very vintage. Needs TLC. Bedrooms, kitchen and some of the bathrooms were clean. Comfortable beds. A bit disappointed the rest of the house was very dusty and a bit dirty. No air conditioning so the house should of have a few fans (not mini fan ). Most of the windows had no screens so it was difficult leaving the windows open. Could the Utilize the yard since it was over grown. Overall short walk from the ferry. Rating between 3 1/2 to 4 stars

This VRBO rental had two positives and plenty of negatives: Positives - location and ability to handle 8 people. Negatives - "Vintage" does not adequately describe. Furniture was hodge-podge and broken, everything was dirty (we washed everything before using it including the stove and refrigerator), lamps did not work. This rental should not stay on the VRBO market until the owner has gotten it up to rental standard.

We had a good stay. The house met our needs. I would suggest more fan or air conditioning as the temperature was in the 80"s.

This is an amazing spot for a big group family to enjoy a vacation together. The house has character and plenty of room to hang out together. Everything is within walking distance for Friday Harbor activities. The beds are hard, so I used an extra comforter for cushion. The place did not supply paper towels (needed to go buy some as we didn’t want to add grease from breakfast bacon and sausage to those old pipes) and no extra trash bags, but does have lots of cooking pots and pans. Overall a really great stay.

The home itself was perfect for our group of 6, but could have easily fit another few people (as long as you don't mind sharing a bed!). Plenty of communal space in the backyard, kitchen, and living room areas for games, communal cooking, and just sitting around chatting. Andrea (host) was asuperstar in getting a brand new charcoal grill for the property on short notice, and was easy to communicate with and prompt in her responses. The property is a 3 minute walk from the brewery and 5 minutes from downtown Friday Harbor for easy access to shops and restaurants. Amazing location and home and will definitely try and stay there again!

The house is just a couple blocks from the Ferry dock and a block from the brewery. We had a car to get around the island but the location is so close to town that we spent a lot of time walking when we were in town and did not need the car except for excursions. The house is vintage and charming. The living spaces were comfortable and there were enough beds for our large group. Some of the bedroom windows did not have curtains - with long summer days, it would have been nice to have curtains on all the bedroom windows. The yard was great for the kids to play in and had a charcoal grill which we used.

Aside from the lack of privacy in having most of the windows without blinds or curtains, it also allows the summer sun to blast through early and late in the day. Minor nits, no wash cloths in the bathrooms, nor ways to make ice in the otherwise spacious refrigerator. The location is perfect, close to restaurants and shops.

This was a terrific place to stay- we had five adults and were using this as a landing base before an eight week boat trip. Andrea was lovely and the house met all of our needs. Location couldn’t be beat!
