Condo was perfect for my family of four. Might be a little crowded for a bigger family. Walk across the street to beautiful Carolina Beach with bathroom facilities and outdoor showers available on the access road. Walking distance to boardwalk and many restaurants. We hardly needed to use our car all week! We will be back!

The owners were great to work with and keep a clean property. This property is in a good location from the beach and things to do.

The complex where this unit is located is in a great area, close enough to walk to many places. The listing says it sleeps 7, and we were only 5, but it was a little crowded. Bathrooms and kitchen were updated. Bedrooms need new rugs. Third floor, so prepare for going up and down a lot. Parking lot is tight.

We absolutely loved our stay at this condo! It was perfect for our family of 4! The location was great and we loved the ease of being able to walk to the boardwalk, beach and restaurants! We look forward to staying here again on our next vacation to Carolina Beach!

Very pretty and compact apartment with ocean views from the balcony. Good for small family. It is technically on the 4th floor- ground level with storage rooms and carports then 3 floors up, so- 5 flights of stairs - if you have issues with climbing stairs or little kids you need to carry- probably not for your. It is perfectly located- 5 minutes walk to the beach/boardwalk and stores.

It is a super quick walk to the beach, to the Carolina Beach boardwalk/rides and other attractions like The Veggie Wagon and The Fat Pelican. The pool is also an added bonus for a family with small children whop need breaks from the beach. The owners are super responsive and do everything they can to ensure a pleasant stay. They are genuinely concerned about your comfort and enjoyment. We would stay here again and definitely recommend it.

I didn't realize that the condo was on the 3rd floor nor had an elevator. I would have never booked the condo if I had done a better job reading the description. Also, I ordered linen service and was only provided one towel and one wash cloth per person for the entire weekend. Once I asked if the towels would be replenished I was told there was a washer/dryer just off the patio. I don't know about you, but I would rather not do laundry on my vacation but had to. The master bathroom had an extremely slow drain in the bathtub. Other than these minor issues, the location was outstanding and the condo was really pretty inside. I would not recommend it if you are someone with back or pain issues. If you are younga and can handle the stairs then it would be a good fit. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Our first family vacation was planned for the end of July. The property manager got in contact with us the morning of letting us know that the keypad to unlock the door was not working and we would have to use keys. Which was no problem. We get into the condo and my first impression was it didn’t smell like somewhere that has been cleaned throughly. I bypassed the thought we were overwhelmed by traveling with 3 under the age of 5. We were trying to get settled unpacked and beds made. We did order the linnen service. Which they seemed new but the comforters in the rooms on the other hand didn’t seem like that were washed. Did not have a laundered smell to them. The one in the master bedroom had an orange stain on it. There was some pink circle on the cieling resembled wax. The wall closest to the bathroom was filthy. The master shower drained very slowly (as read in prior review) The vent in the living room was covered with dust. Paint was chipping by the long dresser in the master bedroom. The vent in the kitchen had grime all around it. The quarter round in the living room was falling off with nails sticking out of it. As time went on walking through the condo my impression was whoever stayed before us left in the morning and we came in that afternoon. Either the cleaning lady showed up late and rushed to get “the job done” or she didn’t really care enough to clean throughly. We are not clean freaks or germaphobes considering we planned a vacation during a pandemic however my expectations were not met in the cleanliness of the condo. We also found something that i rather not disclose but can leave it up to your imagination. The owner apologized and said he “fired the cleaning lady”. The coffee maker was also broke which the manager/owner responded quickly and brought us a new one. I read reviews prior to booking and many were to be true. During the day and into the evening the thermostat no matter what will not go below 78 one night it was 82! If you are not used to stairs and don’t want to walk 3 stories this is not the place for you. Also the bunk beds were a bit rickety. The queen Bed in the master felt like sleeping on a cement slab. Overall the only thing i liked was the location. Close to the beach. The on site pool was nice as well.

The location is so perfect for walking to every Carolina Beach gem! We even watched the fireworks display from the balcony! The owners offer great assistance is navigation around this amazing beach town. Once I let them know I was resisted in Carolina Beach they were so quick to offer me new suggestions of newer businesses and restaurants to try! I am so happy with this property selection! My family of four (including 2 college aged boys) had a great time at this beautiful condo. It is on the smaller side so keep that in mind if you have a large family. It is also on the third floor which we did not mind because it gave you a very nice view of the ocean and the Ferris wheel at the boardwalk. I really enjoyed the balcony in the evenings and the ceiling fan made it very comfortable. No need to travel for the weekly fireworks at the boardwalk. We had a great view from the comfort of the balcony. We walked to most of the restaurants and the boardwalk so we rarely had to take our car anywhere. It is a short 1 block walk to the beach and maybe a 2 block walk to the boardwalk. The pool was quite refreshing after a long beach day and the storage closet under the condo next to where we parked was great to store our beach chairs and umbrellas. The owners were awesome and responded very quickly if we had any questions. We really enjoyed Michelangelo’s for pizza, El Cazador for Mexican, Deck House for seafood or steaks and Brits donuts on the boardwalk (all less than a 2 block walk). The bagel sandwiches at Bagel Miester were excellent for breakfast (not walking distance). I would highly recommend this unit and with our youngest going to UNCW I would rent it again in a heartbeat!

The place was immaculate, and immediately felt like home. The property owners were amazing, and attentive. We definitely want to stay there from now on. The description of the home in the ad does it no justice. This was the first time we actually spent more time inside a property than out.

Very nice place with many friendly permanent residents living there who were very helpful. Owner and the unit was also very nice to interact with. Overall a great stay!

My family really enjoyed our time here! It’s in a great location and the owners’ beach wagon made it very easy for us to spend time on the beach. There’s also a pedestrian crossing right in front of the complex that made crossing the street really easy.The community pool was also a hit with our daughter! The apartment was neat and clean and we especially enjoyed the kitchen, living room and deck. It is on the third floor of the complex and the climb was a little rough during the heat of the day, but overall we had a great experience. I’d definitely recommend this property.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Driftwood Villas. Condo was very clean with nice updates. The location of the condo made for a quiet stay and is convenient to a public beach access, local shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend this great condo and would rent again for sure. We were a family of 5, and had plenty of room. The owners were great to work with and responded to any inquires we had quickly.

The property was extremely clean and you were within walking distance of everything I definitely would come back again and recommend this property to anyone

Lovely place. Neighbors below were sensitive to noise so it might not be a place for young children. Perfect location with lots of convenience!

Lisa and Kevin were amazing hosts. We had everything we needed. The condo was clean. The location is perfect! I would definitely recommend this to anyone! We will be staying here again in the future for sure.
