The host looked after us very well, was so easy and accommodating. The location was perfect to be able to get around the area, and it was very safe and quiet.

Very friendly host, great location, free private parking.

The apartment is situated right next to the restaurants and beaches of Sant Martí d'Empúries and has a private parking space (with plenty of shade) closeby. Despite its central location, it is quiet at night. During my stay, I spent most of the mornings and afternoons at the beach, but I appreciated having the apartment in walking distance as a cool oasis during the hottest hours of the day. Joan, the owner, provided me with plenty of useful information ahead of my arrival, including a short video showing the exact location of the parking space. That's customer service at its best!

The room was clean, but had a bit of a weird smell to it. The perfumated pouches hung in the room as a countermeasure didn't improve this and actually gave me a bit of a headache. I removed them and made it a habit to keep the windows open during the morning hours, which I think worked much better. If you're an early bird, it's near-impossible to find breakfast in Sant Martí. Fortunately, I don't mind a morning walk and I found many breakfast options in L'Escala.

We would have liked more kitchen equipment and crockery. Bigger towels. The bathroom was rather humid and damp. But we loved our host and we had a great time.

Towels were very poor, would have preferred bigger ones. Also no tea towel for doing dishes
