Unser Zimmer war sehr dunkel. Im Ruheraum der Sauna war es auch ziemlich dunkel.

Schlechte, unzeitgemäße Ausstattung. Zusatzgebühren für ein nicht funktionierendes "High Speed" W-Lan. Kurzfristige Schließung des Fitnessraums. Unruhe, Bauarbeiten wegen Konferenz (warum schließt man das Hotel nicht früher). Keine Reaktion auf Beschwerden.

Die Rezeption ist telefonisch Tage vor der Anreise und am Tag der Anreise nicht erreichbar im Gespräch mit Hotelgästen wurde dies vielfach bestätigt. Angesprochen beim Check in wurde behauptet, das alles ganz normal wäre!
Auffallend ist der gravierende Personalmangel und der damit verbundene unterdurchschnittliche Service . Dies funktioniert selbst in einem 2 Sterne Hotel besser. Beim Frühstück gab es Wartezeiten beim Einlass mit Gäste Ansammlungen von über 30 Personen. Im Frühstücksraum, der viel zu gering bemessen war, traf man auf ein viel zu geringes und noch dazu unerfahrenes und hilfloses Personal.
40 Minuten Wartezeiten für eine Kaffee, 25 Minuten Wartezeiten für ein Spiegelei, komplett fehlendes Abräumen der benutzen Teller sind einfach so unterdurchschnittlich für ein 5 Sterne Hotel , dass die Unzufriedenheitsbekundungen der Gäste im gesamten Frühstücksraum hörbar waren. Ein Aufbett Service existierte nur auf dem Papier.
Eine Hotel Leistung die so ignorant zu seinen Gästen ist und nicht erreichbar ist für Beschwerden dar nicht länger den 5 Sterne Status behalten.

the location is not bad
we were staying for 3 night. And we saw rats in the lobby, on our floor and in the bar. How could it even be possible in a 5 stars hotel? also we had some weird noise/vibration in the room so we could not sleep for the whole stay. never coming back to this place. please do something with rats! it’s not okay and i’m still shaking

Schöne Zimmer. Tolle Lage.
Teilweise unfreundliches und wenig herzliches Personal.
Toilettenpapier nur 2-lagig. Für ein 5-Sterne Hotel sagt dieses Detail viel aus. Bei Nachfrage wurde uns eine Rolle 3-lagiges für 4 Tage hingelegt.
Servicepersonal House keeping und Bar macht viele Fehler.
Bar Personal unaufmerksam und wenig freundlich.
Pool ohne Unterwasserlicht.
Insgesamt herrscht eine angespannte Stimmung. Für uns steht leider fest, dass wir nicht mehr kommen werden.

Wonderful stay at this absolutely iconic hotel in Munich. Fabulous concierge and front desk staff, helping us with even the most difficult-to-get dinner reservations! Excellent rooms and wonderful views from the rooftop bar and the breakfast restaurant.
Perhaps the Trader Vics downstairs is a bit in need of an update, and the staff are a bit rude. But I realise this is a separate business and not the fault of Bayerischer Hof!

The location was excellent - the center of the old city, conveniently accessible by taxi, 5 minutes to the metro. A cozy cafe was nearby with delicious and varied breakfasts, and we had breakfast there. The staff is polite, the service is fast - we asked to change the pillows (because the default ones were skinny and looked more like a pancake than a pillow), and they quickly brought orthopedic pillows.
We booked a "superior room".
- less than 24 hours before check-in, the hotel sent a notice that neither the pool nor the spa would be open. Therefore, the hotel did not leave the option to cancel the reservation;
- we asked for a room closer to the lobby, but they gave us the farthest one, with access to the construction site;
- The hotel's wi-fi is a kind of attraction. By default, you can connect only three devices at all. Even if you disconnect one of the previously connected ones, you cannot connect a new device - you need to call reception to have them bring you a piece of paper with additional access. The Internet login interface also does not work correctly (you can open it from the mobile Internet, but not from the desktop);
- it is impossible to regulate the air conditioner's temperature; it doesn`t matter which temperature you set up at the thermostat (+18 or +24) - the air is chilly. We asked reception to do something, and they promised to call a specialist, but in fact, nothing has changed;
- for some reason, the warm floor in the bathroom was switched ON, although the thermostat was turned off; thus we couldn`t switch it OFF;
- musty smell in the room and bathroom. No one lived in this room for at least half of the year.
In general, I got the feeling that the hotel provides the oldest and most uncomfortable rooms for booking from booking.com :(

I used to stay at the hotel as a child with my parents. I was quite disappointed that the quality had declined from what I remembered. Unfortunately, I checked into a dirty room, and even after pointing it out, the assigned cleaning staff only laid down a few towels and gave me chocolate without addressing them. After I came back from my dinner, I notified them again and a manager for the night, a lovely lady, saw the issues as soon as she walked in anf took care of it. She was very apologetic and cleaned everything within 10 minutes. She was highly professional and quite surprised that they were missed. I was offered a new room but declined. Other than that, the general staff, concierge and reception were lovely.
Some of the rooms need a deep clean due to the old smell. Mine smelt a bit damp and as I am not a regular guest I assume I’m not given the “newer” rooms. I’ve had friends that had the same experience. Some furniture upgrades wouldn’t hurt either. The tables were scratched and old and the glass tops only made the scratches more visible.

Concierge was helpful, location was good which is why we selected to stay at this hotel.
Everything else; smell of cigarette smoke on entire 2nd floor, dated decor, overpriced on every element, water at €18 per bottle, breakfast at €47 per person and parking at €45 per night! Purely living off being central, not just ‘un-kid’ friendly but just generally unfriendly, no atmosphere, was happy to leave.

The staff we're genuinely so helpful and couldn't have made us feel more welcome. I really enjoyed the decor of the hotel and in general we appreciated how close to the center we were.
I found it quite frustrating to pay for an experience we ultimately couldn't take full advantage of. There is nothing more disappointing than arriving on your first day, to go upstairs to experience the unique views of the terrace, to be told there's absolutely no room and that I needed to have made a reservation.
I appreciate the hotel has a business to run, but equally i've paid a premium for a premium experience. What was so disappointing is that I was told to come back later at the end of the night and "maybe" get a table, and when I tried to reserve for the next day I was told it was fully booked - Meaning I had no chance of ever using the facility, as we were only staying over the weekend.
Ultimately this meant I paid for an experience, which I couldn't fully realise or enjoy with my partner.
Not to be told I needed to make a reservation ahead of time before I arrived was a bit of a shock, considering how busy i was being told the terrace was and the fact that if they'd seen I was only staying over the weekend, the only way for me to enjoy the terrace was to book in advance.
Transparently I would have likely booked another hotel had I known the facilites I was looking forward to enjoying weren't available to me during the duration of my stay. I would have hoped it wasn't too much to expect there to be some priority given to paying house guests so they can take advantage of the facilities in a 5-star hotel?

At first, during my check-in they asked me a security deposit double my room rate.... And room service actually wanted to charge ne 5 euros for a bowl and a spoon.
