A simple airy no fuss room making good use of the space, I felt comfortable immediately. Plenty of light and a private view out over the backs of buildings and the sky. Staff at the reception were very pleasant and helpful

We arrived earlier than check in, so we asked if we can drop off bags. They let us check in on the spot, which we were grateful for. Rooms were as we expected, small but comfy.
It was a bit of a hike to the old town but I knew that in advance, hence the good value.

The enormous and very comfortable bed was a delight to sleep in. It was neat and tidy and perfect for a night's stay. Also the check out at 12pm was great!

Location was good, walkable distance to bus station and and main attractions in city.
Room quit big
It was very cold in room. Outside temperature was 1 and heaters off.

Excellent location within easy walking distance of the old town and friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was good value for money. Secure underground patking. Decent shower.
Very basic room in need of decorating and there was only a very small window which looked out on a brick wall. Also, there was very little sound proofing so we could hear the people upstairs walking across their room.

Nice little hotel near local bus stops. Room was small but comfortable. It had a bathtub. (my flat has a shower so a tub is something special.) :)

Great location, next to the bus and train stations, so we didn't have to carry the luggage all the way up the old town. The beds are very comfy and the room was clean and quiet. 24h reception is a big plus. Cortes' staff is super nice. There is not much in breakfast menu, but the toasts are big and tasty.

Beware if booking parking places upfront, otherwise you may not get one as places are limited. Parking in town is difficult.

The location of the hostal is perfect close to everything.
The reception ladies are very kind and friendly, they told me what to visit and where to eat, I barely used my google maps. They were always ready to help.
The room was good compared to the price, I would prefer more natural light but I was there just to sleep so it was not a big deal, and the bed was comfortable😁
I definitely recommend this hostal.

The location was further away from old town than the description. The receptionists were exceptional. Esperanza even went to the bakery to get me a croissant for breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the receptionists
Description by booking.com made it seem as if hotel was only short walk from old town but not true. All uphill and a long way

Great location and staff! Good value for the price.
There was a small fan but it still got pretty hot since we couldn't open the windows due to the noise.

very friendly staff. clean room. the area is very convenient for catching buses to the train station or old town center, with a stop maybe 30 seconds away. In 5 minutes walk, there is a lively area with lots of bars and restaurants for local people. no tourist prices, and some may even give you a free tapa when you order a drink. It’s also not a long walk to the old town (15-20 minutes I think), but uphill. If I visit Cuenca again, I will stay at this hotel again. My general feeling is that locals all live in the low city where this hotel is, and only tourists live in the upper town, like a museum of its own. I’m sure the upper town has fine hotels and restaurants too, but i prefer not staying overnight at museums. I may have liked Cuenca less if I missed those lively areas in the new town.
