Stunning modern architecture, Large comfy room. The bed was excellent. The best breakfast. Location; the pool; the bathtub with a view. Outstading!

Great view, big room, nice staff. Breakfast was okay.
the overall facilities are very old and run-down, the photos are misleading — I was sure that the place in a much better condition. It’s old-fashioned and honestly speaking outdated.

Clean, bright, spacious, staff friendly and helpful going always the extra mile. Background music. Great breakfast buffet.
First impression not great. Welcome drinks very complicated process at the end we didn’t have them. We were instructed that we had to pay additional fees if we wanted to use spa facilities. Cold atmosphere in the dinner area.

Desperatly in need to turn off for some days, we decided to spend a weekend in The Oitavos Hotel.
The hotel, nestled in the coastal town of Cascais, was a gem discovered in the off-season. Though the beach was cold, the sea was an inspiring deep blue, so the view from our room was a thing of beauty. With the hotel electric bikes, we rode the bike lane to the sandy expanse of guincho beach and felt the salt spray on our faces. The nearby town of Sintra was a delight, even in the winter chill.
But it was not the town nor the beach that made our stay truly memorable, it was the hotel. The staff, attentive and friendly, the facilities, impeccable and the service, second to none. It was a luxurious retreat in the heart of the coast, a treasure even in the dead of winter.
The spa was a sanctuary, a place to forget the troubles of the outside world and lose oneself in relaxation. The treatments were expertly administered, and the facilities were pristine. The pool was a particular pleasure, with its warm water and soothing jets. We spent many hours there, watching the deep blue sea through the windows and feeling our cares melt away. It was a true oasis in the midst of a wintry landscape, and it made our stay all the more enjoyable.
I recommend it highly to anyone seeking a taste of the sea, no matter the season.

This is not the first time we are accommodated in this hotel. It is very new, clean, comfortable and well-decorated. The breakfast is amazing, in variety and quantity. The SPA area and treatments are also very recommendable.
The decoration is a bit "cold", but for the rest, there is nothing bad to say.

Golf course at the resort, golf reception in the hotel
Very basic wellness. There were no sauna towels, no cold sauna pool, just one shower (also for indoor pool). Sauna has just one level bench so you cannot choose a temperature range where you are sitting. Hotel even wanted to charge 25€ for use of wellness even the price of the room was 240€. I never ecpereinced this in any other hotel of this level

5th visit to this very unique and accessible hotel. Comfortable large room with huge balcony, great breakfast, lovely pool area.
The restaurant in the evening was busy, appeared understaffed and a little overpriced but this didn't interfere with the enjoyment of the stay.

large rooms, nice view
Getting food poisoning from the breakfast buffet and then having to deal exceptionally rude staff, not all of them, but especially some of the old ladies at the front desk, as already reported by other reviewers.

The room and the bed definitely the best of this hotel
All the surrounding areas are in construction, i was expecting way more about the hotel in general.
Breakfast could be way way better

Large rooms
Cleaning staff came into the room multiple times unannounced, and also banged on the door in the morning before 9am.. when there was no response, continued knocking..

Mirror had glue stains, privacy in shower and bathroom lacking

I really liked the room size and comfort, and the breakfast.
the hotel is looking like a rehab with the resin covered floors , that can become very slippery. They are not using the space as well. For example, there is a tiny pool table in the space that can afford the full-size snooker. The pool is much smaller than on pictures. Also the hotel doesn’t allow Uber Eats, but the only option for the late night is a dry sandwich.

Breakfast was excellent , extensive choice , fresh , great service

let’s distinguish the golf from the hotel. the first exceptional the latter much less convincing.
we liked the location, the space (it’s huge), the cleanliness, and the view towards the setting sun.
first of all it is disturbing that such a hotel would charge extra to use facilities such as e.g. the sauna. the pool is tiny and surely not meant for swimming and the gym - despite there is ample room - just sad (no daylight, no window, no view, and poorly equipped). They have a separate platform called “yoga”, however there is not even a mat. in the room the bathroom area reminds of school camp and the bathroom door doesn’t close properly.

the hotel needs updating. the pool restaurant was not prepared and had an hour of waiting for food to be ready. the pool mats were old and sticky. the outside pool was supposed to be heated, but it was cold.

Location. Views. Design. Size of the rooms and the hole property, but still very comfortable and calm. Amazing breakfast. Perfect for golf and surf. The golf course is one of the best in Portugal.
Nothing.

Breathtaking views over the nature from all over the place.
The amazing heated and salted water infinity pool.
Turquish Bath and Sauna “African Savanna” look and feel, with daylight facing the sand dunes.
I had to leave!

A great sized room with a lovely view. The breakfast had great options and was delicious. Beautiful setting in the dunes, lovely pool area. Staff is mainly helpful and trying to do their best, if not always successfully.
The Verbasco restaurant food as well as the room service food (that I believe comes from the same place) was disappointingly very average. Pool staff took our drinks order, and then never delivered it. After we complained that it was taking so long, they said that the pool service was closed for the day. Eventually, we were served, but with lots of going forth and back.

Excellent hotel, was staying in a premium loft which was very spacious and had everything in it and more! Breakfast was fantastic! However it’s the people that made all the difference - spa and the concierge staff especially Frederico and Pedro were extremely helpful and made me feel very welcome!

My room above all. Really amazing with a huge balcony and views over the ocen and the golf course.
The breakfast was great also, with an excellent selection of cheeses. But the food in geral in very tasty and a wonder for anyone's eyes.
The smell of the nature!
Nothing to declare!

Loved the spacious room and huge comfortable bed. Location was good but the shuttle should run into the evening.
Very sparse furnishing in common areas quite industrial minimialist feeling could be softened for a more comfortable feel.
