This accommodation was the highlight of the trip - the room was super cosy and nice, and the owners were more than hospitable. They provided such a warm welcome and invited us to share a meal when we arrived. The view from the place was amazing.

Nothing. It should be called Lounge with a view as that is more accurate. Not the way the titles leads you to believe.

It is 40 minutes out of Wellington. In a dirty overpopulated street with the narrowest lanes.
As with other bookings you expect you are renting the whole house to yourself. Not this place although nothing was communicated either in the ad or in person from the owner. The house is also occupied by the son a lodger and the owners in the garden. Obviously trying to make a quick buck out of tourist by being slack with the truth. The house is overpowered by incense and in need of a paint job. One small toilet and a shared bathroom. The owner feels that because it has shared bathroom in the ad that should enlighten you to the fact the house is occupied by strangers while you are there. So no quiet peaceful enjoyment of the property then. The wife is busy banging around the kitchen making everyone dinner and we were informed that they were having a BBQ get together on the Saturday with all their friends. So again so peace and quiet. We didn’t stay. We packed the suitcases back into the car and went to a hotel. Totally drained and exhausted. Saddened that our first holiday in 6 years and the start of our 30th wedding anniversary week has begun like that. These concerns were addressed to the owner who said he would refund us but has since gone back on this. So if you want to see beautiful Wellington. Relax. Get away from busy narrow streets. Have great views and be able to take a deep breath and sigh feeling happy. DON’T BOOK HERE
If you want. Crowded. Noisy. One room with a beautiful view. Strangers around. Incense smell everywhere. To be 40 minutes from the action. BOOK HERE

Breakfast was left out as an self help, with plenty of choice of cereals and bread's with tea and coffee facilities. Internet
access was excellent. Information on "Rooms with a view" was clearly presented. Overall a most relaxing place to stay representing excellent value for money.

Breakfast was available but my health limited what I could have. I wish I could have had what was available! It was plentiful. Everything was exceptional with very friendly staff and owners who went out of their way to make me comfortable. This fantastic service extended to giving me a lift to the train station.

A superb location,with a fantastic room & facilities. Both Stu & Rattana are fabulous,friendly hosts,who both excel to provide everything required for a fabulous stay.The views from the garden are stunning & it was a bonus to use excellent public transport (Train & Bus) to visit the outstanding City of Wellington.Meals at the house were perfect & memorable.An oustanding stay,with top hosts.

made us feel welcomed so much and host’s kindness was fabulous!!! Had diner together and … they treated like a family which was really really nice!! the view from garden was amazing too.

The stay exceeded our expectations and was a breath of fresh air when it comes to the hospitality we got from Stu and Ratana. They were super accommodating and the whole trip felt like seeing family you havent seen in a while. Couldn't have asked for more. Stu was a great guy to have chats with and Ratana just never sits down to have a break from serving snacks. Both were very funny, we met some of their friends too, was really good.
I had no complaints while staying there, which is unusual for me.

A wonderful place to stay, stunning view and hospitable hosts. They invited me in to have dinner, lovely Thai food prepared by Rattana. They both are very helpful. I highly recommend this accommodation !

Stu gave us a hospitality experience that I didn’t think existed these days. He invited us into his home and made us feel so relaxed and welcome. A home, away from home! We will definitely stay again, next time we drive through. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality & good banter ☺️

Comfortable stay, great view. Stu was very welcoming and accommodating and I had the pleasure of enjoying Rattana's cooking for dinner.
The bathroom could have been cleaner, but as a shared bathroom it can't be spotless all the time. Also, I found it hard to set the shower to the right temperature.

Felt welcome and at home and was offered to stay for dinner. Rattana cooked amazing Thai food and so delicious along with the view and topped off with awesome company of the host.

I didnt realise i would be sharing with two men, from the picture it looked like thete woukd be a female, however she and her partner dont slerp in the house.
