Staff behavior, hotel cleanliness, room comfort, and its location; everything was great. Breakfast also had a lot of options , and it was served fresh.
I stayed there 2 nights with my family during our road trip to Basel. It is ideally located in the German side, just a couple of kilometers from the Swiss-German toll. Basel City center is just 3-4 kilometers.
I recommend you to give it a try if you are coming Basel or around.
I liked everything about the hotel.

Modern, large and comfortable room. Ours had a kitchenette with a large fridge. Bathroom equally recent and equipped with large shower. Comfy beds.
The room was quiet as it was in the internal part of the structure. The front-facing ones may be a bit nosier as in front of the train station.
Shops and restaurants in the immediate surroundings at walking distance. Train station just in front.
Staff was helpful and they set-up a late check-in (21hrs). However very little staff around, also for breakfast and for check-out. It misses a bit of human touch. For us it was fine however, as it was only a stop over and facilities were spot on.

This is a wonderful hotel in Grenzach, wit excelent location at 2 minutes from both train and bus and some restautants. The hotel is very clean, the room was so spacious, clean, warm, comfitable. The breakfast is excellent, the staff very polite and helpful. I highly recommend the hotel and the location of the place for traveling in the region.

It's more a serviced studio flat than a hotel, and that's a good thing. Absolutely spotless and spacious room, bigger than most London studio flats! Well equipped kitchen if you fancy self catering, and very nice breakfast. Plenty of parking on site

Basically liked everything! Large room w refrigerator and kitchen-ware, comfortable bed, practical bathroom. Good sound isolation. Fantastic breakfast with large variety (from early hours too!). Staff was very helpful with special wishes (e.g. printing), too. One of my best hotel-experience in its class.
Moskitos (September): not related to the Hotel at all, but a protection net in front of the windows may help.
Parking: nearby free parking area was often full by the evening (as hotel was full too), so late arrival needed some extra search.

The room has comfortable balcony, kitchen equipment is useful, Wi-Fi speed was pretty speedy.
Breakfast room was quite occupied and we waited a bid(5-10 min). Not a material thing but maybe it would be a nice option if we can simply take breads, ham and cheese away and eat they in our room.

Really nice, good hotel, located in the middle of nowhere:) big rooms, with a lot of space, high quality furniture and materials. Comfortable beds. Clean and tidy. Quiet location and quiet rooms. Really nice staff. You will be really surprised to find such a good hotel at this location. It is about 5-7 km from centre of Basel, easy ride with a car or buss.

Great continental breakfast. One block walk from neighborhood train station, first south of DB Basel Bad Bahnhofstrasse. Lots of windows, and high quality interior. They washed our clothes when we requested that, and let us stay late after a Sunday checkout since our flight was later that evening.

A big nice room with a kitchen, comfortable bed, very clean. Friendly staff. Breakfast offered not too much choice, but very tasty. Good location on the boarder.
The shower door needs to be closed inside the shower. If you close it like normal,the water goes outside the shower and it is a lot.

The outside of the hotel doesn't look fancy, but the rooms are very comfortable.
The hotel is nicely situated near the center of town and also the city center of Basel is within a 5 to 10 minutes drive.
For us it was a good stop over on our way back from Italy to The Netherlands. (Free parking as well!)

Spacious family room with it's own kitchen, big soft beds and quite residential area nearby. Breakfast was very solid with lots of different options you can choose. Hotel kindly put an extra bed for a small child and there was enough room for four of us. Definitely would recommend it as a spot to stay on the border of Germany/Switzerland.

It was comfortable bad very clean room and also shower was clean ( we stayed overnight).
Breakfast was good.
We would stay here again.
